Scheduled a time to have the transmission serviced in my 2020 GMC Denali and expected to have the fluid changed and internal filter replaced. Instead, they only changed the fluid and did NOT replace the transmission filter. I spoke to the service manager, who would not provide his full name (Scott) and he said it wasn’t necessary to replace the filter because they flushed the entire system with a detergent. My GMC service manual calls for a fluid and filter change every 45,000 miles. I will never use the service department at Davidson GMC again. I wasted $400.

I would highly recommend Elm Chevrolet and their service department. I noticed my diesel p/u emitting dark exhaust smoke when starting the engine. The problem was quickly diagnosed as a failure in the fuel injection system. The replacement parts were ordered and installed the same day they were recieved from the manufacturer. Not only do I have a great running vehicle but when it came time to pay the repair bill I was over-joyed to learn that a very large portion was covered under a special goodwill program authorized by GM. Lynne, Brian and Howard went over and above in understanding my problem and I would definately return to Elm Chevrolet.
