I have a 2015 Forrester purchased at this dealership and serviced there regularly. Recently I left it for oil change and overall check-up prior to a long trip this coming week. When I was told the car was ready, I picked it up - only to find that there was a potential major issue that was noted - so I had to go back.
Before doing so I talked with Ted Nime, who is the dealership's director of operations. He verified with the technician that the problem needed to be addressed, told me to not worry about an appointment, got the work done (including having to remove/reinstall the transmission), and, much to my surprise, waived the customary charges as a goodwill gesture.
THAT is how a dealership keeps happy customers. I don't give an "excellent" rating solely because the person calling me to say the car was ready ought to have read the report that said an additional hour was needed to check out a potential problem, as I'd left the car there for the day.
