Bought a used 2022 cougar 5th wheel. Sale was ok, ended up paying price we wanted. Finance guy was pushing extended warranty real hard. For a cost of $10kfor the warranty we declined to take it. Was assured the shop had thoroughly gone through everything on the trailer. Left with the trailer and got 500 miles down the road and a wheel came off the trailer on the interstate because of a seized wheel bearing. Had to have it loaded on a flatbed and taken 50 miles where it could get worked on. Luckily I had insurance on the trailer. They do not check out everything on the trailer before selling it. Power cable was bad, I had to request a new one. So the trailer sits at a wheel and axle shop 1000 miles from me. I have owned 5 th wheel trailers over 40 years and wheel bearings and tires must be checked regularly. Something Holiday World of Las Cruces does not do.
