I have never been more disappointed by a dealership. - marlyrcarroll
I have never been more disappointed by a dealership. I purchased a certified preowned vehicle from them and have regularly had the car into the dealership for service. The car was still under powertrain warranty, and I started having trouble with it, the engine would not consistently start. I brought it to the dealer and was advised to complete a $800 service to clean out some values and a perform a fuel injection service. Within a month, the problem resurfaced and I returned to the dealer, this time I was told the engine was shot and that I needed a new one. I was still under warranty for transmission/ engine so asked to have that completed under my warranty. They opened a claim and started the process, I provided full documentation of all the consistent service I had done on the vehicle. Nissan denied my claim and said the it was due to carbon which is not covered. The tech that worked on my car, shrugged his shoulders and said that excessive carbon build up is normal for these direct injection engines and there was nothing to do. The service department confirmed that they had no ability to help, essentially admitting either the engines do not last, or that the warranty is useless. I am left with a car that is not paid off, and requires an $8,000 repair of a part that is under warranty. I have had Hondas, Hyundais and Toyotas, all of which at some point need repairs that were under warranty, all of these other companies were helpful, and accommodating and ensured that the car worked as it should. Nissan and this dealership did nothing of the sort. Crapy car, a useless warranty and disappointing help from the service department. I would never buy or service a car with them again.
