I scheduled an appointment when a check engine light - Jay
I scheduled an appointment when a check engine light came on 3 hours in to a 1500 mile road trip. Not being from the area I found this Ford dealership.
My first encounter with Luigi was less than satisfactory. Granted it was early in the morning, but he didn’t seem like he wanted to listen to me. I explained to him what happened, and he dismissed me.
He said he has to do his own diagnosis. After a couple of hours waiting, he informed me, there is no code in the system therefore there’s nothing he can do for me.
I explained to him the code that had appeared the night before, but he was insistent that if he did repair work and it did not solve the issue, I would come back and sue him. When I asked if he would do the work as maintenance, instead of repair, he eventually agreed. But he gave me such an outrageous price, plus he said I would be there all day because he did not have the parts. (what dealership service shop does not have spark plugs in stock? ) Clearly he did not want to do the work.
I took the vehicle to another dealer, three hours later the repairs were done and I was on my way. Issue resolved.
I do not live in the area, but if I did, I would never go back to this dealership.
Luigi should be reminded that customer is sometimes right!
