Auto Body Experience - 2014TC

I was very pleased with the auto body experience I had recently. I called American Family Insurance on Friday about 10 am after hitting a deer about 9:00 the previous evening. They contacted Pettijohn, who called me within 30 minutes to arrange towing my van to their service area. By 2:30 that afternoon, I received a call from Kayla with an estimate of the damage and asked if I wanted them to fix it. I said yes and she said that she could now order parts. She told me it would take about 9 days to complete repairs. I told her that I would need a loaner car because my husband had a doctor appointment in the city on Tuesday. She said that she would have a car ready by Monday and she did. We had a flat tire while driving and had it repaired. I called on the 8th day and Kayla said it was ready to pick up. We went to get our car and looked it over. It looked great! We went in and paid the bill and gave Kayla the bill for fixing the tire and she took it off of our total bill. We were very pleased with the fast service and friendly actions of Kayla and the service personnel.

I can always trust Suntrup to make the proper repairs to my 1999 GMC SIERRA when repairs are needed. I bought the truck from them in 1999 and it had 7 miles on it when I drove it off their lot. I’ve never had to take it back a second time. The staff are polite and eager to help out with all my vehicle problems. Thank you Suntrup for being there all these years.

I only went to the dealership because my key broke and I needed a new key made, I tried all the locksmiths and nobody could help me, however, even though the dealership was able to make me a key, they also charged me $91 for the key, and mind you this is a simple key, no key fob or nothing like that, and failed to let me know that I could program it myself, and was going to charge me to program it. I was going to have to pay a tow truck to tow my car to the dealership to program this key that I programmed myself after looking on the internet. And I found out that Ace Hardware would have made my key for $30 after I had already had it made. I will never go back to this dealership again! Sad sad world we live in.

THEY LIED BY TELLING ME I COULDN'T GET IT INSPECTED BY ANOTHER SHOP AND THEN SOLD ME (A RECENT DOMESTIC ABUSE SURVIROR) A LEMON AND AFTER $2300 IN REPAIRS, IT’S STILL BROKEN DOWN NEEDING A REPLACEMENT ENGINE!! THE TIMING SET WAS ALSO MESSED WITH BY A NON-MECHANIC AND CHEAP PARTS!!!!! NOT TO MENTION A HUGE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST GM ON THIS EXACT ENGINE!!!! HOW DARE YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE LIKE ME!!!! My son took his car in for repair (2nd time dor the same issue) and the backup lights stopped working when he left. He took it back in and they said he needed an under hood fuse block for $500. We took it to another dealership and they replaced a blown fuse. The backup lights work now. Don’t use this dealership!

We brought our 2019 GMC Acadia in for service for a transmission that was shifting badly. They advised that there was nothing wrong with it but the service write up advises they replaced the top end of the transmission. We then brought it elsewhere to have the issue resolved on the first visit. They also later advised that they don’t believe any work had been done by Bommarito. Fast forward 3 months I decided to give Bommarito another chance after my other car (2019 GMC Terrain) was having some issues with the turbo charger. I called and set up an appointment then showed up to that appointment. The service advisor told me they couldn’t find me so they handed me over to the guy that knew about my appointment (Grant Cecil). Right off the bat this guy wanted to argue by telling me I showed up for the wrong appointment which I had an appointment for. Then he turned around and told me that if it’s the turbocharger that I will be paying for the service out of pocket (even though we have remaining power train warranty and extended bumper to bumper). I told the guy that I shouldn’t owe anything out of pocket and he just kept digging and arguing. Then I just said it is what it is and asked for the loaner car they promised. Another service advisor said no rental was available but they could get me a ride to the airport. Grant came back and said no way they are taking me to the airport because it exceeds the 10 mile service area. At this point in time I knew that we weren’t going anywhere fast so I decided to leave and call another GMC dealer who made sure that I would get my SUV in for service and guaranteed that I would pay no out of pocket. They even took a car out of inventory to make sure I had transportation while they repair my car. A short while later I called the service manager Pat Robertson and made him aware of what’s going on. Pat then did a little research and first told me that Grant was wrong and the Turbocharger is covered as a part of the factory warranty but did not apologize for his guy going rogue and arguing with me and did not even address them wasting my time at 8am on a Monday showing up for a a scheduled appointment that they accidentally entered on the wrong date. I told him that this is the second time I’ve had an issue with Grant and I need something to make sure it doesn’t happen again or it will be the last time I do business with any of Frank Bommarito’s companies and he responded by saying “I’m sorry to hear that.” And we ended our conversation. Again, Suntrup Buick GMC quickly answered my call and took care of me without a question of a doubt. Save your time and money and stay far away from Bommarito.
