I have been to many used car dealerships. I have had some terrible expierence with many of them. Metro Motor Sales has been beyond a refresher for used car sales. They never once pressured me to buy anything and even said if what I wanted wasn't there I could wait and see what comes in in the next couple weeks. They never once told me I only had a couple cars to choose from I got to pick the car I wanted and was just told what my down payment and monthly payment would be and yes some of them didn't fit into budget but they were still willing to check it for me. I had an issue with check engine light the day after I got it and they have been extremley helpfull in getting it fixed for me. They are the best around for the customer service you get I would highly recommend them.

This dealership is the reason that dealerships get bad reputations… I bought a car from them with 87000 miles. I had the car for less than 24 hours and the transmission went completely out. The car also had damage that wasn’t in the photos. My salesman Joel was good. I contacted him the next morning about the problems. He said he would have the owner, Jon, reach out to me. Let me simplify it by saying Jon is a xxxxxxx. He was definitely on something and couldn’t say one sentence. He told me he would take care of the bumper because he knew that wasn’t there and had to have happened the day I went to pick it up. Moving on to the transmission he said to go get it checked out. He would pay 50-50 of the diagnostic and then depending on what was wrong he would pay $500 or we could maybe do 50-50 to take care of it. Got the car checked out and it needs a new transmission. I simply asked for labor to be covered and he flat out told me no. Now the bumper is going without getting replaced by him and the transmission is 100% my responsibility. Asked my salesman Joel to help and he simply responded with “I’m not getting in the middle of this one! Thanks. “ Typical salesman getting paid then not giving a xxxx. They all seemed so nice until a problem arose in less than 24 hours. Jon also told me that the car was perfect and if I had any problems to reach out. I reached out and then he ignored me. Following my second message it was never delivered… He then was pointing fingers at me and saying that I caused the problem because he personally drove it and never had a problem. He then told me he personally put 1,500 miles on the car. That is a lie right there too unless he lied to CARFAX. It had the exact mileage that was reported to carfax before this dealer even got the car. Just beware when buying from this so called dealer.

My husband went to look at the van and we ended up deciding to purchase it. He said in his experience, the dealer should have at least taken the time to check tire pressure and fluids under the hood but they didn't even do that. They even tried to sell the van to us for what the original price was and not the price that it had dropped down to online. Unfortunately, I don't think we will ever purchase from this dealer again even if we do find a vehicle that we really like.

The worst buying experience continues to be a nightmare - Avon

I purchased a car for my daughter from Rini Cars in Avon, MN. I was assured while looking at the car that several things had been checked/replaced/repaired on the car (as he listed them) and that it was a good car. The owner told me that he would allow his daughter to drive the car. The transaction took extraordinarily long for a cash transaction (1-1/2 hours for the transaction alone). While I was waiting, they replaced the battery 3 times in the car in order to get it off the lot. After I got it home, it would not start again, so I purchased a new battery for the car. Then I discovered that the alternator was not working and needed to be repaired. After it had sat for a couple days, I started it again and VERY thick smoke filled the neighborhood from the tailpipe of this car. I then called the owner, to tell him about these bad experiences with the car. He told me that I could bring the car back and he would repair it for a good price. I chose not to do that because he didn't repair any of the problems as he stated he did in the first place, I didn't trust him to repair them this time and pay him additional hard earned money to do it. After a few months passed and my daughter drove less than 300 miles total in this car, it left a 2-1/2 block trail of fluid behind it from the engine. I checked the oil and the transmission fluid to discover both were just about empty. After bringing it to an auto mechanic, I learned that the entire underneath of the car was rusted badly. My mechanic called it fragile as an eggshell and transmission fluid and oil was dripping a constant stream. I called Rini Cars to ask what they would be willing to do about this situation and Rini's Son/representative stated that they will give me the value of the car which would be the scrap value (he stated "$50/$150 something like that"). Then as I asked him further about what his father stated about the repairs and the quality of the vehicle, he stated "He didn't want to fix it in the first place, so he didn't". Which completely contradicts what his father/the owner stated when I was looking at the car prior to purchase. I made a huge mistake by trusting this dealership. They lied to me and cheated my daughter out of her hard earned money. The son/representative also stated that I could have purchased a warranty on the vehicle. When I asked if I signed a waiver for that or it was ever offered, he said, "no, but you could have asked for it". I'm not sure how I would assume that there was a warranty on a used car, if it wasn't written or stated at any time or anywhere. Besides, the standard contract states that there is not a warranty, expressed or implied, therefore even if I asked for one, one would not have been able to be offered. This is a very bad business and I strongly recommend everyone to stay away from Rini Cars in Avon, MN. You will have a very bad experience from start to finish as well as throwing your heard earned money away, as we have. The representative for the company, clearly stated that they have no interest in repairing cars that are “sold as is” and, after repeated calls, the owner will not call us back to discuss the situation.

Claimed they would not run the card until it had been checked by their mechanic but I was “safe” until then. Spent a week waiting for them to put on rack and then I called and was told car had sold! What.a dirty underhanded thing to do! Stay away! This gives all small dealerships a bad name!

I recently met Bruce Kleman when I called to inquire about a used car. His effort to help me was the best I have ever seen from a car salesman. I had been 'sidelined' by a sudden breakdown on my own car--and Bruce drove the vehicle I was interested some distance in to show it to me, let me test drive it, and then continued to work with me to accomplish the sale. Although he did not make this sale--I had overqualified myself, and ultimately I had to find a cheaper car--he continued to respond to my questions without badgering.
