We have a 2017 Chevy Trax. - cpranch55
We have a 2017 Chevy Trax. Bought new in November 2017. It came with a 3 year 36,000 bumper to bumper warrantee and a 5 year 60,000 powertrain warrantee. Last month we had to take Kellys dad to an appointment in Bemidji, MN, a 70 mile one way drive. Coming off the four lane to the stoplight the oil light came on and the car talked to me saying "low oil pressure, shut down!" There was a Chevy dealer about a mile away, Dondelinger Chevrolet and I nursed the car to within a 1/4 mile. I could go on but the end of this is I spent $250 on motel rooms and $1,372 to get our car back because Dondelinger said it wasn't covered under warrantee. When we got home I went to Grand Rapids GM where we've had all the service done since new. Oil and filter every 3,000 miles, new tires, turbo fixes (covered under warrantee) and showed them the Dondelinger invoice and the said and SHOWED me on the computer it should have been covered under the powertrain warrantee. Called GM customer service to have them help. After three weeks they said they could do nothing and offered me a $100 discount on any further services. So I'm done with GM/Chevrolet, and I hope anyone who may in the future be looking at buying any of their cars remembers this, THEY LIED TO ME!!!
