Worst service ever. - Cloy
Had to have my truck towed in The day after Labor Day weekend after breaking down on vacation. Rode my motorcycle to the dealership in the rain because I had no other choice without any phone service there. Requested the vehicle be towed in. At 9:20 AM Joe the service guy told me he would have the truck picked up in the morning. The tow truck finally showed up at 2 PM. Had the truck towed in. They said they would have to order the parts and they would be in the next day. After waiting with my wife and in-laws to hear the next day that the truck would be done. After no call from Joe I called him after we were all packed up and ready to go and when he answered the phone he said the parts never showed up. No call no nothing! Then he told me Ford did not even have the part. After calling my local parts guy at my local Ford dealer in Ann Arbor. He directed me to a dealer that had the part in stock. Which I called them and had the part overnighted to the Ford dealership there in Mackinac. Which of course I had to initiate and pay for the cost. Call Joe the next day and he said Part had not been in yet by noon. Eventually the part showed up. Again no call back from Joe. So I call him again. He tells me they can’t get the old part off which is a transmission line that is leaking. So again I am stuck! Then after talking to him he comes up with they can put a hose on it and Clamp it down that will get me by. At this point I am ferously mad at the service I have gotten so far. My wife convinces me to go in and just get the truck. When we get there they are still not done with it. The mechanic is filling the transmission with a turkey baster, yes a turkey baster! Because they do not have the proper tools. Finally he takes it for a test drive and brings it back. We are waiting in the lobby. Joe is ready for me to pay for the ridiculous repair but I tell him I want to go start the truck and make sure it is not leaking. When I go out to start the truck, I noticed that my key that is a special chipped key cover is broken. I go back in and ask him what happened to my key. He says I don’t know. I say I know for a fact it was not broken when I came in. My wife finally convinces me just to pay the $380 and get out of there. Which I did to avoid going to jail! Now I have to take the truck to my local dealer and have this all repaired the correct way and pay again. Folks let me tell you something I will walk before I take any vehicle into this dealership ever again. I have a business in Ann Arbor. I have dealt with several dealerships. This is by far the worst nightmare and most terrible service I have ever had from a dealership in my life! If you are in the area take the time to find somewhere else to go. They have no clue how to run a business or do proper repair. Did I mention we had to sit and wait with my in-laws for three additional days waiting for them to call and tell us what was going on with the truck which they did not. I had to call every time to try to get some type of update. Where is the service of my life! Chuck/Ann Arbor.
