As a woman, I often dread when the time finally comes to have my car serviced. I would typically have to mentally prepare for the reoccurring theme of going in for a simple oil change somewhere, for example, and then being told that there are multiple other issues that need to be tended to, which are conveniently also quoted at a much higher price than what I know I should be paying for them. I am new to the area and was just looking for somewhere to get my oil changed. I called around for pricing and the first dealership I called quoted me $90+ for a conventional oil change for my fiat, and immediately tried selling me on a package of 4 for around $280. Needless to say, I did not go that route. I then proceeded to call Johnson FIAT of Annapolis for a quote, and it was the best decision I could have made. The first impression of Johnson FIAT was made to me on the phone by Doug Orr. From the moment I called he was nothing but kind and helpful, quoted me about $38 for an oil change (much much more reasonable than the $90 oil change I was quoted) and set me up with an appointment right away. I walked into the FIAT dealership early this morning to have my oil change done and was immediately recognized, by name when I introduced myself, by Doug who greeted me kindly and moved quickly to have my oil change started. As we were talking for a little while, he mentioned that there were oil change packages that I could look into in order to save some money, and if I was interested, he would have me talk to the financial services manager. And of course, I, like anyone, would love to save some money where I can, so I told him I was interested and was walked over to Danny Peña. Again, I was treated with the utmost kindness and respect. He looked into the packages specific to my FIAT, based of the VIN that were available and not one time tried talking me into a package that I did not need or did not request. He even went over the miles per year that I may drive in order to ensure that he wasn't providing me with a package that had more oil changes than I would need in a 3 year period. During this time, Stefano Rinaldi, Sales Manager, also popped his head in, kindly introduced himself, jokingly let me know to give him a call when I was ready for a upgraded FIAT, and also briefly joined the conversation, as I found out Danny's sister lives near me and my daily commute to D.C. etc. Throughout my time here Doug would periodically check up on me and update me on what was found during the multipoint inspection of my FIAT, which comes standard with the oil change. He explained everything along the way, and let me know that any additional service recommended was completely up to me and that I just let him know when I am ready. I decided to go ahead with the extra preventative maintenance and was provided a loner car, while I waited, as it now would take longer for my vehicle to be ready. This type of customer service is just unheard of these days and really made me feel at ease and valued. This dealership has a very family oriented and welcoming feel to it from the moment you step foot inside. which is all thanks to the individuals that work here. Each member (mentioned above) of Johnson FIAT took the time to come talk to me and make me feel welcome and comfortable. Not one time during my visit did I feel pressured, in any way, and especially not into a vehicle service that I did not want nor need. Needless to say, as long as I am living in this area I will ONLY get my car servicing done here. Nothing beats the experience and I would highly recommend anyone with, or desiring to purchase, a FIAT or alfa romeo, to come here. These guys will really take care of you!
