Chris and Erik worked with my wife to get her back on the road, ON A SATURDAY ! I was 650 miles away and needless to say , Very Anxious regarding her only transportation being in drivable. My wife brought our 2013 Kia Rio in for 2 recall updates on 6/19/2024. The car had NO mechanical issues whatsoever. It ran perfectly. This is a car with about 88K miles on it. It still has a LOT of life in it and was garage kept. They tried to run the update for the security issues Kia is dealing with, and it FRIED the Body Control Module. The “brainiacs” at Kia manufacturing had decided to quit making the part which would fix the car. So, our car has been sitting at Tameron Kia Westbank in Harvey since the day it was brought in OVER 4 months ago. BEWARE if you’re considering buying a Kia vehicle. They could possibly PREMATURELY quit making important parts to repair a vehicle as in our case. The driver’s side window is down because the BCM controlled that. Also, the blinkers, lights, hazard lights, among other things don’t work. VERY FRUSTRATING, to say the least…😡 As of 11/5/2024, the vehicle is STILL sitting at the dealership! They sent the Body Control Module to be “repaired.” It’s been in their possession (Tameron Kia Westbank) since the end of last week. Supposedly, an “appointment” was made to install the BCM in the car yesterday. The whole day goes by with NO update. My wife texts the GM of the dealership this morning for an update. No update. We go in to the dealership after not hearing anything. The GM tells us he didn’t want to call us yet because there’s more bad news. (As if we wouldn’t have found out as MORE time had passed) They installed the “repaired” BCM. Now, the car won’t even start when it at least ran before. Now, they’ll just do as Steve Miller says in one of his songs…TIME KEEPS ON SLIPPING, SLIPPING, SLIPPING, INTO THE FUTURE because they’ll just “drag their feet” like we haven’t been inconvenienced enough for well over four months.😡😡😡

Premier Kia service handled adversity with a strong team approach to get everything resolved. There are situations in life where everybody involved is strapped with adversity. In those situations, I try to be a person on the team that facilitates everyone at least getting back to their normal prior to the adverse event. I appreciate when other people involved think the same way. This is what happened with my Kia recently. I brought my Kia Sorento in to have the sunroof fixed under warranty. The parts coming from South Korea was going to result in a delay on starting the job. Larry at Premier Kia worked with me to keep me using my car and then bring the car in later when I would have use of another vehicle from a friend. Larry gave me his cell phone number, and we coordinated the plan. Parts came in and I was expecting my car the next day. Problem is…a group of xxxxx broke into the dealership and cut the catalytic converters off 17 vehicles, mine being one of them. Larry immediately explained to me what happened and arranged a rental car for me with Enterprise close to my work. Kia covered the cost of the rental car for the entire duration it took for new catalytic converters to arrive from South Korea and be installed. I received my car today, and I am pleased to say I am enjoying all repairs done to satisfaction. Nobody could prevent the thuggery and thievery that put 17 people out of their cars extra long and added 17 work orders onto an already busy service department. However, I am happy I was well taken care of, and I am thrilled to have my beautiful passion red Kia Sorento back in my hands.

I would NOT recommend buying a vehicle from Lakeshore Kia in Slidell, LA strictly due to their inadequate Service Department. I had a great buying experience 10 months ago when I purchased my car brand new from Lakeshore Kia in Slidell. When my check engine light came on at only 16k miles, I had a completely different experience with their Service Department. When I arrived at the dealership, I was told that they had no available appointments for 16 days. I asked the service technician if he could at least run the code to see what triggered the check engine light. I wanted to ensure that the car was safe to drive for another 16 days, but he refused to do so. The only explanation he offered was that maybe I had left my gas cap off. I have been driving for over 30 years, and at no point have I ever left my gas cap off. I am a conscientious car owner who will not continue to drive a vehicle with a check engine light on. I called Dean McCrary Kia in Hattiesburg, MS who offered me a service appointment the very next day. Don’t waste your time or money at Lakeshore Kia in Slidell. Their Service Department is closed on Saturdays and if your check engine light comes on you might have to wait for over 2 weeks to determine the cause!

Brea always greets me with a smile on her face and a fantastic attitude. She is employee of the material. If there is an employee of the month program on place, Brea should be at the top of the list. I look forward to every time I get my oil changed. I have been in management most of my career and it is great to hear the bad and the good of your business. Orr Kia has a super fantastic employee with Brea.

Called tuesday to scedule my 10k mile service, was able to get an appointment the next day. I was greated quickly upon arrival, vehicle was take care of in under an hour (closer to a half hour), CSR showed me the indpection paper and explained it. Let me know my next suggested service and that i woild be contacted soon to get it scheduled.
