I wanted to buy a Mini Cooper and I grew up in Owensboro and I have heard about Tapp Motors growing up and it was always great things that I heard and I also know Steve so I called him 1 day on a Monday and ask if he had any Mini Coopers in stock he did not but said he could find me what I want the next day he called me to tell me he has 3 now so my husband and I drove from Louisville to look at them we decided on a red 2012 mini cooper red and low miles and I LOVE IT!!!He took better care of us than Louisville mini they were extremely rude and they had a Mini that I really liked but the way we were treated we walked away!!!!I am so HAPPY I called Tapp Motors!!!!!I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car and the great thing is if they don't have it in stock they will get it for you...I will buy again from Tapp motors...Thank you Steve Long and everyone at Tapp you will see me again...I LOVE MY MINI COOPER!!!!

I bought a car and it leaked oil and check engine light came on that same day I had to replace the wheel bearing that day. In the first 2 months I had to replace the tires starter and all the vacumn lines were dry rotted, cam shaft prosition sensor and still the check engine light is on. It took over 4 months to get the tags. They kept giving me the run around on getting the tags. Would not recommend anyone to this dealership.

My Dad and I purchased a used 2005 nissan truck from Hudson Chrysler Dodge and Jeep in Madisonville ky yesterday.We went there looking for a 4x4 truck and found the perfect one for me. I absolutely love it.Our salesman, Stacey Carneyhan was very helpful, friendly and willing to work with us on just the right truck for just the right price, we got a great deal and left very happy. So long story, but do not purchase anything from this dealer! I purchased a 2012 Dodge Charger SE in February of 2021. The vehicle had major damage to rear side and I accepted that. And took and spent close to $2500 performing repairs needed on vehicle, rear quarter repaired lights repaired, preventative manitenance, and mechanics repairs. These people know the cars and act like they don’t. So that was ok I came back the end of September because I kinda was happy with the service even though the employees (it’s all one family according to the business licenses through Fayette county) are most of the the rude. But whatever came in bought a 2008 Escalade with $2000 down and traded my charger in. Escalade had obvious issues dash lights on for suspension engine and airbags and a few others. Had noise in front end on take off etc body damage, and some other small stuff and a large exhaust leak and power steering leak. In the making of the deal I was not going to buy it simply because of the repairs needed. I agreed that if they fix the exhaust and power steering and give a warranty (still had to pay for this which is fine but it wasn’t free or anything) I would do the deal which puts me overpaying for the vehicle 5,000 dollars compared to nada value. Which is cool whatever. Call them and all of a sudden there was no agreements per Sam for anything but the power steering. The truck broke down the I took it home. Had no oil in it. They say they fixed the power steering which was false it is leaking fluid from the rack. And they say the truck was fine. I would understand a dealer selling a car and 30 days later something happens it’s used what do you expect but the day of delivery. Seriously and the act like nothing was wrong when I went over all the issues and now they say nothing was on paper which I know it was. So I’m just saying DONT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS LOT. I would have sent anyone there to buy a car a month ago I wouldn’t send anyone at this point. It’s a classic buy here pay here trick. I shouldn’t have trusted them like I did. My screw up. Won’t happen again. All involved tony in sales and sam were the two main included people causing the issues at this point.

I bought a '94 Mercury Sable with a 3.8l engine in it. Ernest Spence (Salesman) failed to tell me that it had a blown head gasket. I had overheating issues within one week and less than 100 miles after purchase. I replaced the thermostat and continued to have the same issues. These issues included white smoke fromt he exhaust, no heat from the heater, and cyclic over heating as shown on a temp. gauge. I returned to the dealer exactly one week later and was told that there was nothing wrong with the car and that if I wanted to get new head gaskets, they would split the cost with me. I am wondering, why would they offer that if there was no problem with the vehicle. Anyway, I just found out that there is a recall on this car and engine for the head gasket. It does not cover me because I am outside of the time limit. Stear clear of this dealer. They will deny any issues that they probably knew about before they sold you the car.

You always hear you pay for what you get, well at Allen Auto you will pay a higher but this man stands behinds his vehicles and takes care of his customer. Allen Auto has been around 30 plus years and the reason is he takes good care of you and that keeps your customers coming back and spreading the word around. So yes you may pay more but at least you know you will be taking care if anything should arise.

When you call him back the next day they forgot all about you and told me that I could not get into the car that I chose. And they wanted to put me in a car they wanted to sell me not what I went there for. That’s why you got a one star rating. And mine was in Arizona not Kentucky

HERE is where we finally found our son his first car. Let me just say, we had been looking all summer for just the right car (ie: low miles, NOT a rebuilt title, no older than a 2009, not too small for a tall guy etc...). After being out over 7 hours on a very hot Saturday we almost drove right past this place. Very clean smaller lot with nice looking used cars. We had been pressured ALL day by various dealers/individuals trying to sell us their cars. No pressure sales folks at this quaint car lot. When we seen a car our son liked, he actually walked into the office and Matt (the mechanic) was working. Matt answered our questions, got us the keys and told us to take the car for a drive. We were very relieved that our son loved the car. Dad noticed a few things that needed to be fixed (bald tire, piece of undercarriage not screwed in). Car was reasonably priced. Matt agreed to have tire replaced. They were closed on Sunday so Matt assured me the finance guy Brian would call sometime on Monday. Indeed he did at 10:15 am on Mon morning. We were approved and paperwork would be ready later that day. Long story short, Matt kept his word replaced the tire and a few other things. Never got to meet the owner Jason but his employees were very kind, professional and attentive each time we had to speak with them. Thank you guys:)

Showed up with nephew so we could drive both cars back. Arrived as car was in process of being sold to another person. Was told to wait around because that deal was not done. Waited until it was, indeed, done. Left in time to see woman drive off in car I was there to purchase. Cars of Kentucky - family business that will treat you right.... unless they get a better offer.

Honest! I finally bought a used Nissan Frontier and I bought it from father and son Dave and Luke and their Finance Manager Mark Tarrence! I live about 120 miles away and found the truck online. After a glitch was resolved online, we finally connected. I made a tentative offer contingent upon inspection. The offer was to include destination fee. They added 100.00 to my offer. I didn't argue. Dave said that is all I had to pay before tax, title and license, which they left up to me. I arrived later, loved the truck, which was exactly as Dave said it was on the phone. Not one penny more. We took care of most of the paperwork and deal was done! A group of good Christian men! In my opinion, they will not have any darkness on their souls from dealing cars. Fair, honest, and absolutely no games.

When I called and inquired about the vehicle and told them I had my own financing, the price went up to over $50,000. When they asked why I didn’t want to finance through them, I told them I had a 4% interest rate and they said they couldn’t touch it. Sorry, stop false advertising.

He doesn’t even deserve 1 star, he tried to scam me (a young 20 year old girl) the car had issues with it that he never posted, he never cleaned the car before I came to look at it, someone tried to dye the seat back and he pretended to be confused, and when I asked about the mechanic inspection sheet he got really flustered with me and insisted that we end the deal and he gives me my money back. But on my way out he stopped me and told me if I hold on just a minute he’ll call and see about an inspection at the place across the street where they do oil changes, he said they did an inspection when they did the oil change. So I drove across the street and asked about the inspection sheet and the kind gentleman directed me to NOT buy a car from him because he does shady work. The whole situation was shady and unprofessional. I would never recommend buying a car from that man.

I've recommended to my friends and they've purchased at least 3 cars from them with similar results. Friendly, honest, quality. Highly recommended, I'll be going back for my next car next year!!!
