We bought our Odyssey brand new from Honda World in 2018. in 2022 all the warning lights kept going off randomly. Two different appointments with their service department and nobody could find anything wrong.
This continued intermittently and we took it back in to HW in 2023. They said that Honda had released a warranty/recall for the faulty part causing this issue. They then tried to tell us that we were now past the mileage for this recall. We argued that this was a pre-existing issue and we had brought it in for the same thing the year prior. they acknowledged this and said they would honor the recall.
It took over 6 months for them to get the part. When they finally did, THEY called us to schedule the install of the covered part. We made arrangements to have the part put on and took the van down to HW. Upon arrival they told us that Honda was no longer going to honor the recall and we would have to pay for the parts and labor. Mind you, they ordered that part and called us to schedule the install. Their bait and switch attempt for this should be a red flag to any future or current customers. I have asked for a call from the service manager but he keeps having one of his techs call as he knows he is in the wrong and doesn't want to answer for their crooked ways. I strongly caution anyone to avoid buying anything from this organization as their only concern is for their profit margin and not their customers.
