Terrible experience with service department on a Volvo XC90. They quoted me $3200 for a 100k mile service and fixing an exhaust leak from a broken bolt. They started the repair and within hours stated the repair couldn’t be completed without an additional $3500 of work. They said at least 10% of the time this repair requires this additional work but didn’t mention this at all when I agreed to the initial $3200 for repair. They then charged me $1900 just for taking the car apart and putting it back together without fixing it. Which was required just to pick the car up before holiday. I had a similar experience of outrageous pricing of $2000 for a “loose pollution control box” earlier in the year as well. I was then quoted a rudely low amount on trade for the car that included more than their full repair cost. Would not recommending servicing your Volvo at this dealership.
