I had a service engine warning as I was driving past the dealer. I am not a regular customer. They told me what was wrong and that my vehicle would continue to operate. They did not charge me and they were extremely courteous. I later returned to the dealer to fix the issue. They were prompt and courteous.

I had a slow leak back in October, they patched it (a service that is free at Discount Tire btw) and tried to charge me for it. They agreed to not charge me after I complained that this was a brand new car at the time and I had paid for an extended warranty and service contract. Fast forward to April, the same tire develops a slow leak again. I took it to Discount Tire this time and was told due to the type of patch the dealer used it was now unrepairable. I called the dealership service and they told me to bring it in for them to look at. They came to the same conclusion and tried to sell me a replacement tire for $100 more than I could get the EXACT SAME TIRE at Discount Tire. I told t hem no thanks I'd go somewhere else. When I got back to my car I found that they didn't even air the original tire back up to turn off the low pressure warning! I called and explained the situation to the service manager. He agreed that the situation was unacceptable and would talk to his team. I didn't expect anything to come from it. He called me back later in the evening and agreed that since it was their patch that had failed, they owed me a new tire. So they had me come back the next day and replaced my tire with a new one at no cost. I greatly appreciate effort of the service manager, and believe that he went above and beyond what most others would have done. However I wish it would have been handled correctly from the beginning. Therefore 4 out of 5 stars feels appropriate in this instance.

BMW has the worst service department we have ever experienced. We took our SUV BMW in for yearly service and it came back three days later in WORSE shape that when we brought it in! We have purchased three BMWs in the last 10 years but we will not be doing this again. When I went to pick it up, they had gashed in the back of the car with some type of tool. And then we discovered, after we got home (one hour away, that they hadn't even changed the oil!! Never again...

Capital City Nissan has an awesome service department. I purchased my Nissan in Lawrence; however, I live in Topeka and service it here. This morning, I realized why I probably purchased my car in Lawrence. I am looking to purchase a larger SUV than my Juke, and I've been looking around. While waiting for my car to be serviced, I browsed the lot. There were 3 salesperson sitting in the front area, and when I inquired about the QX30's that were currently on the lot -- they were useless - they all appeared self-absorbed in their computers. Neither of them offered to show them to me, offered to allow me to test drive, etc. They provided mileage and price- nothing more. Very impressed with their service department - not impressed at all with their sales department. Perhaps they just aren't "hungry"? Believe women don't purchase cars? It's hard so say -- but, it was laughable. Kudos to service department! Sales department? Do they have one?

Took the truck to Marshall Motors in Salina, Kansas on 10/6/23 for an oil change. Spent $350 on a service contract meaning I would pay nothing for the next four oil changes and tire rotations. When driving on the highway for the first time since the service the truck began smoking. I pulled over, checked the tires and then got back on the highway. Then it started smoking a lot and I pulled off the highway again on 10/7/23 about 24 hours after the oil change. I started a road side service request and it was going through on my phone with the progressive app. My wife’s grandparents came to check on me as I was broke down. My wife’s grandpa pulled the engine oil dipstick and said it was bone dry. He then checked under the truck and seen there was no engine oil drain plug. We called the dealer Marshall Motors who had performed the service and they arranged for a wrecker to pick the truck up and they said they would have a car for me to drive when I got there. When the tow truck dropped me and the truck off. Jason Stroda, the general manager came out asking if the vehicle was salvage. I told him no. He then proceeded to say it had a Juno yard rear end in it. He claimed to have seen the markings on the rear end when it was on the tow truck. He began speculating that something was stripped in the truck (possibly the drain plug bolt or pan I assume). He assured me he was speculating. But, if it was their fault they would make it right. I’m not sure if what the comments about the rear end and assuming it is salvage have anything to do with a missing engine oil drain plug about 24 hours after the service. Case number 87588857 from Dodge Ram Customer Service This is the response from Marshall Motors in Salina, Kansas that was given to the Better Business Bureau in reference to my Complaint # 20710649 after contacting them and the Kansas Attorney General. This vehicle was towed in after hours on Saturday. We arranged for the tow as soon as we were made aware of the issue. We also provided a loaner car for Chris so he could get to work. It was our fault he wasn't able to make it to work on time.  I contacted Chris Reddig our Service manager and told him about the truck Saturday evening.  Monday morning myself and 4 other employees pushed Chris's truck into our Service Department where our Master technician inspected the threads of the pan and found nothing wrong with them so he replaced the drain plug and filled the engine with oil. While the mechanic started the truck, myself and Chris Reddig, and my Parts manager waited to see how much oil pressure the engine had. 57 psi is what it recorded at start up. We are preparing to drive the truck 60 miles this morning, to make sure there are no drivability issues.  Then a complete diagnostic scan will be ran on the truck. After the drive as long as no issues arise the truck will then go to detail to be cleaned off.  Marshall's will put a limited warranty on the engine for 1 month or 1,000 miles. The same warranty we provide on vehicles we sale with 194,xxx miles on them. We apologize that this happened to Chris and his family.  Our Dealership has been in business for over 95 years. This is only possible by taking care of customers. We greatly appreciate how understanding Chris has been through all of this. Marshall’s said they drove it 60 miles and the odometer says they drove only 22 miles. General manager Jason Stroda kind of argued with me as well as the service manager Chris. They said I have to give them the loaner back tomorrow morning. They told me they cleaned the truck and I got there and it was covered in oil and it was still dirty. They said on paper they will only warranty the engine 1,000 miles. That’s all they will do.

Unfortunately after three years and thousands of dollars Mccarthy Nissan has proven to be unreliable and lacking integrity. Each visit my vehicle is returned with the same unsolved issues that it was brought in for and was claimed never to have been found. It took until my car set itself on fire for them to even acknowledge my issue. Each visit my vehicle was there between 10-14 days and they never offer dealer vehicles or rentals so customers can resume standard daily activities, like going to work. They only repaired symptomatic parts and skirted around finding the root cause of my vehicles issue. I am disappointed to say that after my experiences with Mccarthy Nissan I will never be able to recommend, approve or support their service to any person.

Recently took my car to NISSAN dealership for repairs 1/5 waited for four days before someone took a look at it(yes I had an appointment). After calling a couple of times the work was completed within 2hours and finished on 1/10. My employer helped with the cost of repairs and cut a check to Nissan for over $1300, when trying to pick up and pay for the repairs I was advised by Nissan they do not accept checks over $200. They have no specification if personal or company along with no advisement anywhere on the website or invoice I received stating this information. I ended paying out of pocket for the full amount of $1753 and still trying to figure out how can I be reimbursed and pay my bills. Since my employer help pay they cut the check to the dealership directly for the services and not me personally. I requested a call on 1/17 to discuss and I am still waiting. Then I was charged for a car battery I did not ask for or approve since my previous battery was purchased January of 2022 and was still under warranty. I understand the battery was not working, but I would have rather paid for it to be charged so I could replace it while it was still under warranty. Worst experience
