Do not buy from here. My friend paid $6000 for a car and motor blew up the next week. Wade told us the car had a different engine with around 40000 miles on it. We called Wade the week before and wanted to return the car. It was still running at that point. He told us too bad the car was not returnable. He did not offer to trade for a different car. My friend is now stuck with a car and payment she cannot drive. What does she do now?

First he priced a truck to us my wife pulled it up on her phone the same truck brand new was $5000 cheaper. Then he tells me he would run my credit and tell me what I can afford. No one tells me what I can or can't afford. By the way I never did get my $1000. Or M.P.3. this place is a scam!!!!

Hello, all! If you're reading these reviews, I bet you're probably in the market for a new vehicle. Well, I'm not here to tell you if Gates is the place for your new purchase, but I am quite prepared to say you should never try to get a vehicle serviced at this dealership! I came to Gate and attempted to have my low-mileage, under-warranty vehicle diagnosed for a knocking sound. After a 2.5 hour wait (was told 1 hour, and watched another customer enter, get service, a loaner, and leave before me) a serviceman approached me and outright refused to diagnose the issue, stating their refusal was due to 'snow on the ground', and that I should come back when it's nicer outside. Seriously! As soon as I left their service center and hit the road at 20mph, the knocking was CLEARLY audible! After calling the service center to set a date and time *they* find appropriate, and not being given one, I requested to speak to the floor manager. The gentleman I spoke to was very pleasant and helpful, but said he could not arrange a diagnostic until the following week, which I found unacceptable. I'm sure their salesman are quite genial and the deals superb, but I would suggest staying away from their service center: they seem selective about who they want to serve and who they do not.

Test drove the car and the check engine light was on and the car smelled like someone had been chain smoking in the car. Car drove fine and I figure a little tlc and it would be a decent first car for my 16yr old daughter who just got her license. Well the next day my daughter and her mother went to purchase the car. They paid for the car then proceeded to drive the car down the street to the nearest gas station. They put gas in the car and as soon as they got back on the road the car catches on fire. This was very scary for my daughter and when they called the dealer back instead of him being concerned he asks if they had insurance on the car. Now a total of 17 minutes had passed from the time they left the lot till the time the car catches on fire and you being the dealer asks if they have insurance. Really?? They were only 3 miles from the lot. Please if anyone decides to go here and purchase a car be very careful and drive straight to a mechanic to get it looked at or better yet bring a mechanic with you to the dealership and have them check it out there.

He also said to contact him if I need anything at all. And also my husband just got him a very nice truck from the same place and Rusty the Manager was very up front about the vehicle. So if anyone is looking to buy a nice reliable vehicle please stop buy Mike Anderson in Plymouth and ask for Rusty he will do anything to help you out an find the right vehicle that fits your budget and will make sure your a happy customer. Drove over 2 hours to test drive a truck after I talked to them on the phone that morning. Arrived at the business and nobody was there. Called their cell phone over 10 times and no answer. Awful business. I wouldn't buy a toy car from them let alone a real car.

I bought the vehicle because of the very good general condition and relatively low miles. But when I took the title Professional gave me to the BMV, it was rejected. Professional then urged me to try the credit union where the financing originated. A wild goose chase once again, all in an effort to not supply the clear and current title. My reading of the Indiana attorney general's website states that this action is clearly unlawful.

Buyer Beware. Fraudulent business practices. Sold me a vehicle and certified the mileage at 95,100. 6 days later the vehicle died and I was told it needed a new engine. When I ran the CarFax I found that the odometer had been turned back and it actually has > 235,000 miles! I have tried to work with them but have been repeatedly brushed off. I am pursuing several avenues for resolution.

The dealer listed one price for the car we were interested in purchasing in the advertising, but when when we called the price given over the phone was several thousand dollars higher based on a promised trade-in value which seemed like a very suspicious, unethical business proposition to us. Since we were given two separate prices and the second one was higher, we never followed through with a visit to this dealer.

My husband and I bought a car there about 2 or 3 years ago and we test drove and noticed the RPMs were shooting up and not shifting right. We told them and they said they would check it out. They told us they checked and it was doing fine. Well on our way home after purchase we noticed it was not fixed. We had to keep pulling over and restarting it to make the RPMs stop spiking. After researching we discovered that the transmission solenoid was bad and needs replaced. They probably didn't want to take the time or effort to fix it before selling it. Lazy people! They seemed friendly up front but they are just after the money not customer loyalty. Hope they go out of business if they haven't already....

However, they were wonderful in that they contacted me personally, after hours, to speak with me. Eddie sold me truck with hidden damage when i called him out on it he wouldnt do anything. Eddie also took the 2400 dollars i gave him for extended warranty and kept it instead of giving money to warranty company. I found this out 4 months after buying truck when warranty company called to cancel coverage due to lack of payment. They are crooks and con artist and should be avoided. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!

I bought a truck from Walters Automotive in Goshen, Indiana and right before I drove it off the lot, the check engine light came on. A few days later I took it to an Auto shop and had the codes ran only to find out 9 codes came up with multiple sensors going out. Under normal circumstances, this doesn't happen and even the auto shop guy told me that he never sees this many codes with a chevy truck, especially at the same time. He and I both believe the dealer hooked up a code reader before putting the vehicle on the lot and erased the codes in the computer. This would cause a test drive to go well without a check engine light coming on until many miles (usually about 30 - 50) down the road. When I told Walters Automotive that I didn't want the vehicle and I had already called the lender to ensure the deal wouldn't go through, they came and took the vehicle. However, they are refusing to give me my down payment back and have spoken to me through email as if I am less than human. Oh, and yes, this is a Yo-Yo sale as they won't have approved financing for you when you leave the lot. There is a real possibility they will come take your vehicle from you even if you want it, since they don't secure financing before you leave. I called the lender after I had the vehicle for 6 days and they still hadn't approved the deal. The people here are very condencending and simply don't care about anything but their bottomline and their profit. They rationalize their actions by telling me that I am basically a horrible person due to my bad credit and they have every right to keep my down payment. In addition to being sold a horrible vehicle, the first test drive I took didn't even make it out of the parking lot, as the truck died twice. The second truck I test drove we took down the road to AutoZone and spend over an hour checking it out to make sure it was in good shape. However, the is no way to know that multiple sensors and codes were causing issues. This didn't come to my attention until minutes before leaving their parking lot. They are claiming that since the vehicle was sold AS-IS, they don't owe me my down payment back. So, not only do I not have a vehicle, but I am also out $750 due to these scam artists. I would NEVER buy from these people again and if you search online, you'll quickly find out I am not the only one that has been screwed by this company. They sell bad vehicles and tell you they are all you can get approved for with your credit. There are plenty of Better car dealers willing to work with bad credit. Don't buy from Walters, they will not give you a fair deal.

I had zero issues with Wiers Chevy. I purchased my truck from Wiers Chevy. Joe Billy was on top of everything. I even added things I needed added on the truck and was amazed how Joe got everything done. He even updated me on progress as my bed liner and hard cover were being installed. Everything he had done was on time and done to schedule!! Thanks Joe Billy and Wiers Chevrolet!! I almost forgot I had my vehicle delivered also and that was pretty nice also!!

2006 Jeep Wrangler X by D. L. Payne from Southern IL. An attempt to purchase a 2006 Jeep Wrangler X on Friday 10/18/2013 resulted in frustration and disappointment. The vehicle deal was accepted by the salesman and he even had me sign an agreement before he took the proposal to the sales manager. I believed a purchase had been cleared. The paperwork was completed and I was prepared to make payment. When I sat down with the sales manager I was informed the deal had been squashed. Mr. Robert Wright would not accept what had been agreed upon by me, Salesman Chris Payne, and Sales Manager Shane T. Miller . While disappointed and frustrated, I chose to contact the sales manager for a 2nd. attempt at purchasing this automobile on Saturday. The sales manager was agreeable to speak with Mr. Wright about my new proposal. While I didn’t get the original agreed upon price, a compromise was reached on an acceptable price. The sales manager and salesman deserve high praise for the assistance with the purchase on both days. I strongly believe that Mr. Wright should have stood behind his staff on the first agreement. They are both outstanding individuals and go about their work in a courteous and professional manner. Wright Motors should be thankful that they have such excellent employees in ( Chris Payne ) Sales, and (Shane Miller) Sales Manager. Due to Mr. Wright’s attitude, we will not purchase any more vehicles from Wright Motors !!!

Coming from out of state I was concerned about the overall condition of the vehicle. I texted with everyone at the dealership and they sent me an incredible amount of photos; and I mean detailed ones. I’ve never had a dealership be so thorough and honest with their vehicles. I showed up first thing and unfortunately the truck had a small hiccup that was resolved without issue. They were honest, fair, and personable. I walked out of the office with the title in hand in less than 30 minutes. I highly recommend this dealership over any big stores. Truly a great experience.
