When my car got hit I thought what a hassle but Nic H. made it extremely easy. His communication, attentiveness and professionalism made it all so easy. Since my Mercedes was repaired earlier this year, I have had my wive's car in for a door repair and we are currently working on a scratch on my daughter's car. Obviously, I am a big fan of Nic and AutoNation.

i bought a used ford f150 up there in july. When i bought it they did an inspection and found out the breaks were close to the end of their life so cardinal put new brake pads on. Instead of doing it correctly and putting motorcraft pads on, they put on ac delco brake pads. They squeeled everytime i stopped. so i took it up there and they told me that since they were acdelco brakes that they would squeel up to 3500-5000 miles. Here i am almost 10000 miles in and they still squeel every single time i slow down. BUTTTTT, thats not even the worst part. So my truck sprung a slow coolant leak, i took it up there to have them diagnose it, they charged me 189 dollars to diagnose it and told me it was my thermostat housing and t connector that was leaking. i paid the 189 plus the remaining 289 dollars to get it fixed. it took FIVE DAYS to get my truck back. Finally got it back and about a week later i realized that it was still losing coolant. So i called up and told them and they told me to bring it back. I took it up there and they took it to look at it. At this point they told me that it was my quick release coolant hose that was leaking and the total would be 675. They than than told my wife that they were charging us yet ANOTHER 200 dollar diagnosis fee???????????? For something they had already diagnosed and supposedly fixed. I am done with Cardinal because all they are is a skeeming greedy company that will try and milk you for whatever money they can get from you. Jameson Franco was the "advisor" that tried to charge me AGAIN for a diagnosis of something that i already paid a diagnosis fee. They finally....after about 15 minutes of frustrating conversation...took the fee off after i told them that nobody DISCLOSED information to me that there would be another fee. Please be careful of what these "advisors" tell you need done to your vehicle, especially Mr jamison franco.

FIrst and foremost, I am never one to complain and I am very easy to please as a customer. However, due to my absolutely awful experience(s) with Bachrodt, and the fact that they offered the card advertising reviews, I decided to express my displeasure with them. My first experience was when I lost my keys and was in desperate need of a new key to be made for my vehicle, an obviously desperate situation. My first red flag was when I walked in the front door, there were multiple employees sitting at the cubicles nearby and not one of them looked at me or offered to help. When I stood there and no one acknowledged me, I walked around the lobby eventually finding my way back to the parts area. When I arrived at the parts desk to obtain a new key I was told the system was down. Okay, understandable. They took down my information and assured me I would receive a call by the next morning. I did not. So I called, was told the system was still down and I would receive a call later in the afternoon for an update, and they again took down my information. I did not receive a call once again, and at this point I am still without a key to my car and my car period. I called that next morning again, and was told they had my information and would call me when the key was done. At that point I disregarded Bachrodt and traveled out of town to obtain a new key. I never received a call from Bachrodt either, by the way. Thankfully we had a 2nd car in my family to travel out of town to get the new key! Nextly, I was in need of a replacement part for my car and despite my objections to doing business with Bachrodt, I decided to give them another try. This experience was even worse! I called for the part ahead of time and was told to come in the following day to pick up the part. When I arrived, I had one of the salesmen cut me off in the hallway heading back to parts and he rushed back to the parts desk ahead of me. The parts desk then serviced him before me, when he was only asking about an aftermarket part for a truck that he sold the day before. So I stood there waiting patiently for nearly 15 minutes before the guy at the counter yelled back for someone to come help me. When someone finally came up to help me, he acted he like it was such a chore to service me and have my business. While I was being serviced, the salesmen and the two parts gentlemen all made me feel like I shouldn't be there any my business was annoying to them. They laughed and joked and talked about the parts the salesmen wanted before the employee said "well I should probably go get your part" and walked away. He returned almost 5 minutes later and tossed my part on the counter, asked for my payment, rung me up, handed me my receipt, and mumbled what sounded like "thank you" and then went back to his jokes with the salesmen and fellow parts clerk. I have never, ever, received worse service in my life at any store in any industry, as I have twice now at Bachrodt. I truly am not hard to please at all when it comes to service, a simple thank you and a smile will satisfy me more than enough. Bachrodt has much to learn about customer service, that is for sure. I will never recommend anyone I know to go to Bachrodt for absolutely anything at all. I will be more than happy to travel out of town or pay extra to take my business elsewhere rather than to deal with Bachrodt. Their messages they play while you're on hold are such a joke..."we truly care about your business and customer satisfaction".....what a joke.

Bob Brockland service department is in a 2 way tie for the best service department ever in my 60 years of auto ownership. They are all good, courteous, personable, efficient and very willing to assist in any/every way they can.. All are exceptional. Most recently, Tim took especially good care of my car helping me & my car out for a long trip with a short notice. They would get more than 5 stars if possible.

Their customer service is really bad. I was told that parts will come in within a week and then a week became weekssss and NO ONE CALL to let us know. We have to call back to find out. When we called, they can't find my order and told me to bring my car back so that they can check on the parts numbers, which they should given that i was there the last time and they looked at my car. Upon my request, they checked again and then FOUND my records and told me that part would take a few MORE WEEKS!!!!!

I am always pleased when I walk into the Chevy Dealership here in Dekalb,IL. Everyone is always nice and greet you at the door. I usually get help from Jason who takes care of my vehicle needs. He always give me options as to what I can do to take care of my car. Rather its choosing the most affordable tires or my vehicles future needs that I need to keep in mind. When my car Axel needed repair I couldn't afford it right away, and that's when Jason offered me a dealers car to get back and forth to work for the week. I really appreciated that! He encouraged me to take care of my important bills like my rent that was due the same day that my vehichle broke down,and to prioritize. I felt carefree because of Jason, knowing that he was doing everything that he could to help until I came up with the money I needed to repair my car. He took the stress and heavy burdens off of my shoulders, and I can't say that any other dealership have ever treated me that well! I recommend everyone I know to visit Dekalb Chevrolet. Whenever I come to get something as simple as an oil change these guys take care of me right away. My wait time is not long and my visits are always pleasant! The refreshments are great and I feel very comfortable walking into that place trusting that they will take care of my vehicle needs in the most fast and friendly way possible. Outstanding, Above & Beyond in customer service! - Teacher123

I have been a customer for several years and bought the car I am driving today from them! Over the last couple of years the staff & especially the service department members have maintained my vehicle, loaned me a car free of charge for over a week ( due to a repair taking longer than expected) & always ask before doing any additional repairs (providing the exact amount I will be charged, vacume out my car, let me take home a car to "try it out over night". During my last visit for an oil change, what at first was a normal afternoon turned very stressful quickly! After my oil changed I stopped in at Cracker Barrel in Mattoon for lunch with my 6 month old daughter, as I was getting ready to put her in the car the diaper bag bumped the lock on the door, not realizing it at the time ( now my car was locked, my phone, wallet, her diapers, wipes, and bottles were all now locked inside with my keys sitting on the seat) As you might expect, my heart sank from panic that was setting in, here I was alone, with everyone I know at work, not able to help me! Without truly knowing wether they could or would be able to help me get my car open. I called the dealership & immediately they sent someone out to save me from what could have been a very bad situation. May I add again, charging me nothing!
