Do I have to leave 1 star? - gmeeker
Do I have to leave 1 star? I purchased the vehicle back in september of 2023. After a few texts and emails we agreed on a price which included a 3 month
powertrain warranty. This vehicle purchase was completely online. I told the dealer multiple times about my concerns with not being able to test drive the vehicle or look the vehicle over prior to purchase. He reassured me everything with the vehicle was in good working order. I took the chance and purchased the vehicle and had it shipped to my residence. Upon on receipt of the vehicle everything looked good on the exterior, maybe a few scratches and so on, but that is to be expected with a used vehicle. I then took the vehicle for a test drive about 10 miles in total and everything seemed fine. I parked the vehicle for maybe 30 minutes and drove it again and the check engine light came on. I proceded to take the vehicle to get it scanned for the code and it indicated a faulty catalytic converter. Isn't it pretty weird that it only took two starts of the vehicle for the light to come on. For those of you that are unfamiliar with check engine lights, a check engine light can be cleared and it may take around 4-5 restarts for the light to come on again. This is pretty evident thats what happened here. I contacted the dealer and of course he had all kinds of excuses of what could have happened. Blaming the shipper and saying it wasn't on when it was loaded on the shipping trailer. Of course it wasn't, they cleared the code and then shipped it to me. Furthermore the vehicle was shipped to me with all the middle and back row seats folded down. I thought this was a little strange as well. My son then wanted to ride in the front and when he tried to move his seat back he didn't have enough room. I then got out and tried to fold all the seats up and they all went up except the one directly behind the front passenger's seat. After multiple tries I still couldn't get it to release back into position. So I let the dealer know about that issue as well and of course more excuses and more far fetched claims came. They said that they were unaware of the issue, it could have happened during detailing, maybe the shipper put the seats down for shipping. The same old B.S. So now I guess I bought a five passenger vehicle instead of a seven passenger vehicle with a bad catalytic converter. The total estimate for repairs is $2000. This don't even count the noise i'm now hearing from the front end. They offered me $500 for repairs or I could ship the car back and be out over $1400. This place is such a joke. Make sure you read all the reviews about this place and don't deal with them at all, they are highly untrustworthy. Here is how they do business. They get nice cars with issues at a cheap cost and they do not fix those issues, they just cover them up and then you have to pay for them to get fixed after the purchase. If you had a bad experience with them, which it seems a lot of people have here are some options to keep in mind.
