Crap Stealership. - Screwed Customer
Crap Stealership. My battery failed, RAM was a year and a half old and under 12,000 miles. During the cold snap, but the battery was not frozen and was not abused. NAPA did a load test and it failed. I contacted Gene's Parts to see if they had one. They said yes, but not allowed to sell them, saving for service department. He transferred me a lady in service. She told me that she couldn't get me in for over a month and that "BATTERIES IN ALASKA ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY IN ALASKA". I researched it, that is a lie. I bought a NAPA Battery.
I contacted Gene's and asked to speak to the GM. NO ONE would tell me the name of the GM or any contact information or transfer my call to them. And, I was being very polite. What??? If you are having that issue too, his name is Lane Nichols.
So, I wrote him a letter telling him that I was lied to and based on that lie, I bought a battery at NAPA and wanted them to reimburse me for the cost. He called me at night and told me he would contact Stellantis and get back to me the next day. The next day a woman named Susan called me back instead of Lane. Susan must be a muckity muck as somewhere in their advertising her direct email is listed. She confirmed that I was lied to and she was going to make sure to correct the woman who lied, like that made any difference to me. She told me I would have to contact Stellantis myself and then went on to give me about 6 reasons Stellantis was not going to help me. I contacted them, never heard back.
So, I wrote another letter to Lane asking for Gene's to reimburse me. It was like $250. I explained that my loss was because of a lie told by his employee and asked him to do the right thing and reimburse me. A couple days later I got a call from them, but I couldn't take it at the time and they left no message. I hoped I would find a check in my mailbox, but no.
So, I was lied to by the woman in the service department. Lied to by Lane Nichols. Lied to by Susan, who said that this was not their problem, it was a Stellantis problem.
Gene's, a division of Dewey Skrewum & Howe. If you are reading this, do yourself a big favor and avoid this dealership, and RAM for that matter. Lane, if you see this, you have the receipt, you know what happened, you have my address, write the check. Are you a dealership or a stealership? Based on latest reviews I see, looks like the latter.
