Unprofessional, unethical and apathetic.
July 29th, 2022: The reason that I am giving them 1 star is because that's the lowest that I can give. I bought an Audi Q3 (great vehicle!) for my wife from Montgomery, AL after not getting the reception that I was expecting from the Birmingham dealership. After the service minder indicator came on about a year later, we contacted the Birmingham dealership to schedule service and purchased the $500 package (Rotate and balance tires, change oil, plugs and replace cabin filter). When my wife returned home after the service, I checked the vehicle: the oil wasn't changed and was about a half quart low (oil was pitch black with carbon), the plugs hadn't been replaced (the direct ignition coils were difficult to remove and plugs were aged), tires hadn't been rotated (rim with nick still on same wheel) and cabin filter was dirty. I took pictures of what I found and contacted the service manager. We took the car back over and the services we paid for were completed (we were shown all used parts that were replaced). I understand auto mechanics and am ASE certified. What's really sad is that so many others may have unknowingly sat in Audi's waiting room and paid for services that they did not receive. We decided to give them another chance when a cylinder 4 misfire caused a check engine light and rough idling. We were told to bring the car in on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, to be checked cold on September 12th. After several days of no response from Audi, we called to get an update on the status of the repair. Audi's service department hadn't looked at the vehicle. That following Tuesday, my wife picked the vehicle up. I decided to perform the repair myself and found a partially clogged cylinder 4 fuel injector. I cleaned the clogged cylinder 4 fuel injector, and the car runs great! Audi presents themselves as a high-end luxury class dealership; their service department should, too!
