Dishonest dealership. Recently bought a very high mileage 2011 Subaru Outback (225,000). Car had been on the lot for over two months and for a price of about $8,600.00 (no Recently bought a very high mileage 2011 Subaru Outback (225,000). Car had been on the lot for over two months and for a price of about $8,600.00 (not including fees, taxes etc). This of course is above the market value of a vehicle with so many miles. So much so that auto finance companies would not dare finance such a car. I asked for documentation of scheduled services in order to feel more comfortable about the purchase of this vehicle. There was not much on record aside from a couple of oil changes and light bulb replacements. I offered $6600 cash and they accepted. Somewhere in the conversation I was told that they had $6000 in it. I'm assuming the trade in amount they paid plus a seal that was repaired and oil change. I very much doubt that this was an honest figure but that is all I had at the moment. I said that I wanted none of their gimmicks included in the contract and they agreed. They would not dare offer an extended warranty on a car that they sold which I thought was humorous. Car was sold as is. As we were signing the paperwork, my wife was about to sign a very mysterious document charging $299.00. I stopped my wife at that moment and asked what it was. The finance guy got nervous when asked this and why they included it. He has said that it was protection during the time that we take the vehicle from the lot. In other words insurance on top of the insurance that we had already established with the dealership and provided proof for. I quickly became agitated at this stunt and dishonest gesture. I asked if we had to purchase it and he stated no. He quickly said that he can remove it. At that moment all I kept thinking about was all of the unsuspecting car buyers, some immigrant that perhaps have no better knowledge of such unsuspecting predatory practices. Needless to say, that is the impression that I have of this dealership and I hope that many folks take this as a warning. Go somewhere else.!!! When we got home, we also got stopped by the police due to one of our brake lamps being inoperable. This is the caliber of people, pride and dishonesty that can be expected at Bob Rohrman Subaru. I will be taking all my business to the other 3 Subaru dealerships in Indianapolis in the future. This includes service and parts. In an effort to seek out an agreement in the deal to have parts and services discounted due to the high mileage, the request was denied from the sales manager. I am a Military Vet and somehow that was not enough to get a discount in the service department. That's okay, 2-3 dealerships in Indianapolis do. I am part of a huge network of veterans as we are very tight and I will advise them and their family members to go else where. I am also a member of the latino community and I will do the same within our community. I will shout it from the mountain tops! If any Bob Rohrman reps read this, feel free to contact me. When I picked up my new Impreza Pete took time to acclimate me to the technology on my car by driving a distance & explaining while using the technology which helped tremendously. About a week or so later I went back to Rohrman Subaru for a refresher course from Anne. She went over the technology, answered my questions & I was given a gas card to use for my time. I had an excellent experience at this dealership with all people I came in contact with. More

Easy! I did some on-line research before trading cars and found the website to be very user friendly. The test drive was long enough to see how it handled on city streets and at higher speeds, which was important to me, and the salesman was very nice to deal with.
