We actually had a hard time picking out a vehicle. Se cars or options Zeigler Nissan in Gurnee has cars falling out of the parking lot. New and used. This purchase was an all-afternoon affair, literally, taking a LOT longer than necessary. Every step seemed to be with a different person, for whom you had to wait indefinitely til they had time to see you. Online price does not include a whole host of added charges they say are required at any dealership (not true). Our salesman allowed only a very short "test drive" and told us nothing about the extra features of this vehicle nor how to set them up. More
Shady dealer with unnecessary required fees. Sales people are friendly and I would have bought if it wasn't for the unnecessary fees for vin etching which you can get for $20 on amazon and ding/ paint protec are friendly and I would have bought if it wasn't for the unnecessary fees for vin etching which you can get for $20 on amazon and ding/ paint protection which is why we have insurance. One sales person was very friendly and honest (name was Jose I believe) admitted that they put a good price on the car to draw people in then add fees to make a profit. This is shady practice the fees added up to $4,000. Eventually I got him to remove one of the fees but a $2,500 fee could not be removed or it wouldn't profitable (his words), I then pointed out that the cost of the car would be $2,500 more than their listed price, which is false advertisement. They also ran my credit and said it would be a soft pull but it wasn't. A shady dealer that draws you in and adds unnecessary fees. Don't waste your time like I did. More
They have the best price online when comparing it to other dealerships. But that’s just to lure you in. They introduce a bunch of other fees, especially the reconditioning fee, which was $2000. Those fe other dealerships. But that’s just to lure you in. They introduce a bunch of other fees, especially the reconditioning fee, which was $2000. Those fees are ridiculous and end up making the car more expensive than the competitors. When you’re selling a car, you have to prep the car for sale so just include that in the selling price rather than waste people’s time and surprising them when you arrive. Lou was fine as a salesperson but this dealership has bad practices. Do not go! More
When you first pull in you notice that they have an inventory that seems to be too large for their current lot size and you think to yourself "they need a bigger lot". However, after trying to do busin inventory that seems to be too large for their current lot size and you think to yourself "they need a bigger lot". However, after trying to do business with them, you quickly figure out why that is. I went there to look at two "certified pre-owned" Nissan Rogues because the price they listed on the internet was very enticing. It was brought to my attention only AFTER I test drove both vehicles that the dealership charges a non-negotiable $2800 fee to have the vehicle certified as a certified pre-owned now making what I thought was a good deal now overpriced compared to the other dealerships. Lou was my salesman and he told me that they are in a bad location and they must list vehicles online for a lower price than their competitors to get people in the showroom, otherwise nobody would come visit the dealership. I asked him what his definition of false advertising/bait & switch was, and he had no answer. He said he would make it up to me since I drove 90 minutes one way to look at the 2 vehicles. He said he would "go to bat for me" If Lou's baseball skills are anything like his negotiation skills, he would not even make the roster of his local tee ball team. He came back with an offer that had the exact same online price plus the $2800 CPO fee. After expressing my frustration, I was greeted by a floor manager named Moe. After talking with him I can only conclude that his brothers must be named Larry & Curly. I guess they stopped teaching floor managers how to treat customers with respect and dignity. I asked him can I just buy the car for the online price and not have it certified and he said no. I called other Nissan dealerships in the area and asked what they charge to have one of their cars certified as a certified pre-owned and all of them said we don't have a fee on top of the listed vehicle price. Not only do they trick customers to come to their dealership with misleading prices they then gouge them with thousands of dollars in non-negotiable fees. They do not honor their online prices, not to mention they are advertising cars as CPO's when they are not. If you are somewhat at all a savvy car buyer, you should avoid this dealership no matter what their prices state. If you are a complete and utter idiot, you should go visit them because you will feel right at home. More

Zeigler appeared to have a great selection with what appeared to be attractive prices. When we got to the dealership they touted that they had the best prices in a 200 mile radius. Based on their internet pricing and the prices they were showing us while we were looking at the cars on the lot that appeared to be accurate. After looking at several different cars, we finally decided on one and went to process the paperwork. It was then, and ONLY then, that the sales person (and then his manager) told us that the dealership charges a $2,800 processing fee! When the website talked about processing fees we assumed that they were talking about hundred or so dollars that dealerships charge to process the title paperwork. This was $2,800 on top of all the other standard state and DMV processing fees. They then proceeded to tell us that the “processing fee” was for the car to be “certified” by Nissan. I told them that they were advertising “Nissan Certified Pre-owned (CPO)” cars and it was silly for a customer to think they needed to pay for the “certification” process...that is why we went to a dedicated Nissan dealership in the first place. When I asked them why they didn’t just include it in the advertised price, the sales person had the audacity to say that if they included it in the price, they could not advertise the lowest prices around and people would not come in. The manager then came over and tried to convince us that the car, even with the extra $2,800 fee, was a good deal. When you added in their “processing fee” their prices went from being very attractive to not even close to being competitive. Needless to say we left immediately. My only regret is not understanding how sleazy these folks were before I spent an hour and half looking at different cars on their lot. With car buying being so easy these days using services like Costco, Carmax, Carvana there is no need to deal with a dealership that is still employing 30 year old used car sales tactics in an effort to try to stay relevant. My advice is steer very clear of this place! More
Do not buy from here - Online prices are NOT real!! Called and e-mailed to confirm pricing had confirmation from them. Went in $7000.00 more than listed price with Add on's. Very disappointing! Was Called and e-mailed to confirm pricing had confirmation from them. Went in $7000.00 more than listed price with Add on's. Very disappointing! Was a 2020 Nissan Rogue same as the other reviewer. All the other reviews are exactly as we experienced wish I had read them before I wasted my time and potentially put my husband at risk. As the other reviewer said we're in a pandemic - our needs are real that's why we're there. My husband is battling cancer and we wasted our time and put him at risk. So disappointed. Bait and switch. If you think you're getting the vehicle at the online listed price forget it. Do not believe advertised pricing on used cars. Our salesman was James also - really nice guy - probably needs to get a different job. More
