Actual price much higher than advertised price Everyone I worked with was friendly, but that only gets you so far. They really have no business advertising on third-party websites because the Everyone I worked with was friendly, but that only gets you so far. They really have no business advertising on third-party websites because the advertised price will look reasonable, but then there are over-the-top mandatory fees and add-ons that make that price skyrocket to above market value. Any dealership customer expects about a $300 service, but then Racine Hyundai has mandatory upholstery warranty, anti-theft feature, etc. that pushes the price far higher than you were expecting when you walked in the door. For me, those extra fees made it more than $1,500 higher than the advertised price for the vehicle. The price of the vehicle is also shown as an astronomical number for the MSRP and then the alleged “discount” the customer is getting brings it down to the range it was advertised at. This is likely so they are able to get away with all the extra mandatory fees/add-ons since most banks will not allow loan money to go towards an amount that makes the loan payment exceed 110% of the MSRP. If they make the MSRP super high, they are able to have the customer’s loan money to cover those add-ons without the bank being able to say anything about it. Between the way they present the price, the fees, and the add-ons, there are many lines presented in the cost summary. I expressed surprise at how high the cost was and was then told that those are merely all mandatory fees and that this was all pretty standard. I probably should have walked away at that point but I already expressed that I would like to purchase the vehicle and I am an amiable person apparently to my own detriment. I was not offered any time to evaluate everything on the paperwork for myself and was pretty rushed through signing everything. Even though I was left on my own to wait for long periods of time, the paperwork or copies of it were never left with me. It took me till after I got home and reviewed the paperwork that I realize the game that was played and how the dealership took advantage of me. Again, I probably should have walked away earlier, but I still feel like the above practices are borderline unethical. Either way, the advertised price you see is not what you will get. I did complain about the above to one of the managers after I realized what happened and was basically told (nicely) that it was my fault because I signed the paperwork and it is important to read everything, even though I told him I was rushed through the paperwork and not offered time to look anything over on my own. COVID-19 Extra: Almost no employees were using any COVID-19 precautions. A couple employees had masks on but they were under their chins. There was no social distancing. There was hand shaking. Essentially, they were acting as if we were not experiencing a pandemic even though it was late June 2020 and the seriousness of it had dawned on most people. More
Best experience at a dealership As the title says, I loath going to the dealership and I am very frugal so I make myself go to many. Racine Hyundai was hands down the best experience As the title says, I loath going to the dealership and I am very frugal so I make myself go to many. Racine Hyundai was hands down the best experience I have ever had. Worked with Bobby and he made it as painless and funny as possible. Price was a bit more than advertised but they have to know where you live to add tax, title and fees. But even then was still much cheaper than anybody wishing 200 miles. More
First new car I had my eye on the new Sonata since they first unveiled it. Been a fan of Hyundai since the protection is so amazing. Bobby and the Racine Hyundai people made the experience quite pleasant and found me even more incentives being a veteran. Bonus addition to the whole experience i get free oil changes for the next 3 years. More
Poor Customer Service Set an appointment, drove an hour and 15 minutes, waited 1 and 1/2 hours to be told they couldn't find the car I was interested in. Set an appointment, drove an hour and 15 minutes, waited 1 and 1/2 hours to be told they couldn't find the car I was interested in. More

Horrible and devastating used car shopping experience . I will never use this dealership and would caution other buyers. (Not unless changes are made to sales staff). We called and provided Lisa with the . I will never use this dealership and would caution other buyers. (Not unless changes are made to sales staff). We called and provided Lisa with the cars we were looking at for my teenager. When arrived Lisa was not present (I am not sure List Actually works there). Anthony Walker showed us a 2012 Hyundai, which was listed on the website for $4,900 but was told the final price would be $7K. Anthony then showed us 3 other crappy cars and assured us these are the only cars with a final price at or under $5K. We settled on a 09 Hyundai. He then told us the price changed and it would be $5,600 due to a $996.00 inspection fee, plus other fees. When asked for documentation on the Inspection fee Anthony provided the WI state Emission rules and guidelines, I read the entire document and there was no reference of a Dealership cost nor can this cost be transferred to the buyer. When pressed to remove the fee and return the price to the stated amount Anthony got extremely rude. I requested an itemized pricing breakout for the $5,600 and after review, the numbers didn’t add up correctly. I pushed further and this generated an argument between Anthony (salesperson), myself, my 17 yr old daughter, and my guest. Buyers beware of the WI truth in advertising Laws, which state, “Ads should clearly and conspicuously disclose all the information about an offer that is likely to affect a consumer’s purchasing decision.” There was no mention or seller disclosure about a $900 inspection fees or other misc fees. I will be sharing my experience with the Better Business Bureau, the WI Bureau of Consumer Protection More
Worst car buying experience ever. Had received a price match via text with internet sales rep, Gabby. Got there and found a bait and switch tactic used. They couldn't actually match that price due to re match via text with internet sales rep, Gabby. Got there and found a bait and switch tactic used. They couldn't actually match that price due to rebates we weren't eligible for. So we reluctantly agreed after hours of painful negotiations to purchase the car after doing a test drive. First time we got it home and opened the hatch, it started making klunking noises from the rear hatch over bumps. Asked about return policy within the 3 day window, was told no. So we took it to service and after 3 attempts, issue is still same. Racine wouldn't even answer my messages about any of this. It took them nearly a month to even send floormats, they forgot. The door handle was scratched, so they sent a replacement, but failed to paint it so now my local dealership says it cant be put on because racine was supposed to handle the painting. They wont respond to those requests either. The entire process was shady and I should have just walked away. Now I'm stuck with a klunking car that i absolutely hate because hyundai wont fix it under normal warranty. This is a design/ manufacturing flaw that should have been taken care of. I found numerous other people with the same exact issue. I shouldn't be left on my own to deal with this. Somebody with hyundai should have stepped in. My only option at this point is to sell it at auction for a huge loss after having it for only 1 month. Wisconsin lemon law doesnt apparently cover noise issues. Racine should have stood by their product at the moment I raised the issue. Any other dealer would have given a buyer 3 days on a major purchase like this. Hyundai refuses to buy it back also. Please avoid my experience and stay far away from this dealership. Shop somewhere you have in writing a 90 day return policy. You never know what issues will arise. More
Bought brand new hyundai there. Salesperson was friendly but unknowledgeable. Finance was very shady, added extra coverages and warranties in even though I said we didn't want them. Tricked me into signing but unknowledgeable. Finance was very shady, added extra coverages and warranties in even though I said we didn't want them. Tricked me into signing off on them. General manager wouldn't talk to me about it. Never again. More
