I am very happy with my new Hyundai Sonata Sport My wife and I returned to Racine Hyundai for new cars - we always buy together. We were previous Elantra owners but we felt that we wanted to step up My wife and I returned to Racine Hyundai for new cars - we always buy together. We were previous Elantra owners but we felt that we wanted to step up to the Sonata. Sonya Ramos greeted us at the car lot and helped us identify several models that were in our price range that had the features that we desired. Sonya met us at their new location where there was a Sport model that most closely matched what I wanted. We closed the deal that day and I drove away with my new Sonata. Sonya worked through the transaction with me with professionalism and candor. There was an unusually violent storm last night which I had to drive in for about an hour. I felt exceptionally safe and comfortable in my new car as it handled the wind and the rain like a champion. (In all fairness I have had some issues in the past with the service department of Hyundai dealerships both in Racine and northern Illinois, the details of which are not germane to this review, but are the reason for less-than-perfect scores in this survey.) I had been researching cars on the website so I had an idea of what I was looking for. I was called immediately by a representative. My experience was good in purchasing this car. Poor with Manager and good with sales rep The reason for the fair rating is due to the manager not honoring his price or bringing it up that we talked about on the phone, which he informed me The reason for the fair rating is due to the manager not honoring his price or bringing it up that we talked about on the phone, which he informed me he would sell it for the price we agreed on. I was in the area to visit and at first with the sales rep it was a fantastic experience until the manager came over and started talking, told me different prices, told me I should lease because you lose value when driving off the lot. I was there to look and possibly purchase a new car for the set price we discussed over the phone, but when I was talking further with him, he said I can sell only for $38K - $39K. He never acknowledged the price we discussed, this is why I did not pursue purchasing this day and just said we are only looking, he blew it with me. It was just a bad experience with this manager at this dealership. He rubbed me the wrong way. So I would never go back here and do business with this dealer again in our endeavors of another new car in the future. However that being said, the sales rep I first was talking with was very nice so I give him a rating of (5.0) and the manager a rating of a (2.5). I think the issues with this manager was he was dominating over what I wanted. I will say that when you tell someone something and they do not discuss it or honor it, that is a poor sign of integrity with an individual. A total rating of a (3.0) for my experience in Racine Wisconsin. This review is not a poor review of the dealership but fair only. I thought I needed to share this experience, just did not feel right over at the Racine Dealership. More
