Terrible integrity Bought a 2018 golf; and came back because the salesman that sold me my first car worked here and i TRUSTED him... so i asked him ( the salesman that s Bought a 2018 golf; and came back because the salesman that sold me my first car worked here and i TRUSTED him... so i asked him ( the salesman that sold me my first car ) since I didn't know how to drive stick if I messed up the transmission was it covered by warranty he said yes... I bought the car, and then I found out if I messed up the transmission because I can't drive stick it's my fault.. then the manager called me because I filed a complaint with VW, saying that his employee that has been there since 09 hasn't had any issues... then began telling me I asked the wrong question about the warranty... so he misunderstood me, and gave me the wrong answer even though I asked several times... I am very sure the salesman knew what I meant... i wouldn't do buisness here again, I wouldn't recommend doing business here.... I am a salesman my self and integrity is so crucial in sales and they use very good techniques into talking you into things really pretending to care... More
Car still doesnt work!! My 2012 VW Routan that has 60 some thousand miles on it shuts off while you are driving (one time when I was doing 65 on the highway) and does not tur My 2012 VW Routan that has 60 some thousand miles on it shuts off while you are driving (one time when I was doing 65 on the highway) and does not turn back on until you pull off the road and wait a few minutes. So I first took it in, Ben our "advisor" (what ever that means) calls off so no one can look at it, he later sends me a video of what is wrong with it, and calls the EOM module a "thingy" that he has to find the price of. So $1100 later (and a few days when Ben decides to work) my "thingy" is fixed. So I take my car to the beach, with 3 children. On the way home all my lights on dash go out for 2 hours but car still runs, then the car is on and I shut the door and the car shuts off, and again my car starts shutting off when I am driving. I call, they cant get the car back in for a few days, so I drop it off and Ben can not figure anything out. Let us no leave out they had the car for 6 days, Ben calls off again during that time, and calls to let us know that he can not recreate it so he doesn't know and we are to come get it! I drove the car to work this, shut off on highway driving 50mph I have to coast off highway and wait until it turns back on. We will be dead from getting hit before this car is fixed, oh and let us not forget no one but Ben can be assigned to our car because of how York VW works. And the EOM module that I clearly did not need that Ben tried to tell my husband that I in fact did...well that is just $1100 I wasn't meant to have apparently. I drove my 2009 VW Tiguan onto the lot on 8/7/13 to have the lug locks replaced with regular lugs. I refused any other service that was repeatedly offered. Somehow, 50 minutes later, my lugs were replaced b the lug locks replaced with regular lugs. I refused any other service that was repeatedly offered. Somehow, 50 minutes later, my lugs were replaced but my car no longer ran. I have never had a problem with the car until this. I get it serviced at a different garage on a regular basis. I am not sure what happened to my car while in the garage at York VW, but now it does not start. I am now looking at having to replace the engine to fix what ever damage was done. I drove this car to the lot, walked inside to talk to the service department. I then went back out and started the car to drive it into the building. The service people started it and drove it into the bay to have the lugs replaced. They then restarted the car and drove it to the wash bay, even though I denied the car wash, and there it sat. It would not start again. I am not somehow responsible for the thousands of dollars that it will cost me to replace the engine. I am one VERY unsatisfied customer. More
Took my car in for AC problem. After 2 hrs diagnostic time they could not find the problem. Asked to keep car overnight and authorization for additional diagnostic time. Refused to leave car overnight time they could not find the problem. Asked to keep car overnight and authorization for additional diagnostic time. Refused to leave car overnight since I told them when I made the appointment I needed my car back the same day. Took car to another shop -- found out problem was a blown fuse. Had similar experience with ABS system. York VW recommended new ABS system; all I needed was a new fuse. More
