This entire interaction was super difficult. It started when I called to indicate that I needed a new radio because my old one was delaminated. Confirming my diagnosis could’ve taken exactly 2 seconds. Ins when I called to indicate that I needed a new radio because my old one was delaminated. Confirming my diagnosis could’ve taken exactly 2 seconds. Instead, I had to make a full appointment and drop my car off the night before so that the shop would have it during my workday. Then the radio had to be ordered, which took several weeks. Then when I dropped it off for the installation, my insurance company was not called for payment until 5PM, thereby guaranteeing that payment would not be received by closing time. My car was then held for an extra night, which creates problems for me to get to work the next day. (As an aside, I have NEVER had my car held hostage while waiting for a pre-authorized repair payable through insurance! Never. The only one you are hurting is the customer who has paid in full, not the insurance company you waited to notify at the end of the day.) Then when I came to pick up my car after 6pm, (I had asked my key fob to be left in the vehicle as I knew I couldn’t get there before 6pm and Ron said no problem), the fob wasn’t there, resulting in a 15 minute wait while the other service techs tried to find it. If I had not shown up when someone was still there, I would have had to make yet another trip back to York to pick up the fob. All around, super painful. Really awful. I will try to find another place to take my Jeep next time I need a dealer repair. Sad to see the service slip since the change from Westgate to York. More
