Very disappointed My experience with Yark Subaru has always been excellent in the past but this time was very different. Dwayne was not pleasurable to deal with...he a My experience with Yark Subaru has always been excellent in the past but this time was very different. Dwayne was not pleasurable to deal with...he acted put out and unhappy to be there. I took my car in for a recall for an airbag and an alignment. I also asked that they check the front of the car because of how noisy it was. I was quoted around 500.00 which I was o.k. with. This was after I was told I should replace filters and I believe the front and rear differential fluid because of the all wheel drive. 2 callbacks later and the quote went up to around 2800. First my shocks and struts were shot and then the ball bearings in the front were busted. I was basically told that the service tech was deeming my car unsafe to drive. This was very unsettling to me..the car is only worth about $4,000 at this point. It's a 2010. I'm saving this car for my child that will be driving very shortly. When I called my husband to discuss I had him call and speak to Dwayne. We decided to just have the front and rear differential done and just the recall. We wanted a second opinion before spending that kind of money. We were able to have the car checked over by another mechanic who explained shocks and struts were o.k. and that the ball bearings were not busted just a rubber piece was cracked. Something that could wait to be replaced. The rattling noise I heard was quieted down by a simple fix to my hood...yes my hood and my battery was corroded along with the car truly needing the alignment. He did state it didn't even look like the differential fluid was done as we paid 300 to Yark, 100 for the assessment and then the rest on the differential. That was very upsetting. I feel like we paid for virtually nothing. I will not be returning to Yark for any additional maintenance on my car. Please go back to putting the customer first. This was not the same Yark that I have been going to for the past several years. More
My Impreza was driving extra loud I took my car in because it was driving loud -due to COViD-19 they sanitized a loaner and took extra precautions. Next day I picked up my car- same precautions.. it was a wheel bearing they replaced -still under warrenty. Everything was great. I did forget to ask why a light didn't come on for this?! More
