However I was uneasy I needed something safe and that I trusted for her commute to school this fall. My whole entire outlook changed when I researched the focus and then went with her to the dealership. The sales manager personally sat down with me and explained everything. The most exciting part for kaylee was the car is on her name!!! Yankee qualified her for the college student program and got her a payment she could afford. I loved how Bob Esposito personally told me about his daughters and how he felt when they first leased there focus. I will tell my friends and family that ford is in and bye bye Volvo. More

I would not recommend this dealership. I was very disappointed with the way I was treated by this dealership. I was told by their salespeople that "We will beat [other dealership], period!" I was very disappointed with the way I was treated by this dealership. I was told by their salespeople that "We will beat [other dealership], period!" When we arrived to purchase the vehicle they attempted a classic bait and switch. When we told them we wanted to stick with the original plan they told us they couldn't do what they said they would. This was horrible customer service. The way I was treated by Yankee Ford reinforced many negative stereotypes of car dealers. More

After we had signed the purchase agreement the dealer, Joe Zukoski went into full detail about the deal we had just received. He said they had made a 1,000, we got nothing for our trade. It made us feel very disrespected and we thought he was very arrogant and unprofessional. The car had no warranty and tons of problems such as; front end damage, windows on passenger side did not work, needed two front tires, not inspected, needed alignment, needed a radio, it ate our cds. The car belonged in a salvage yard and should not have been sold to the public. They did nothing about our complaints. We got used terrible and won't be back ever! They should be a shamed how they conduct business. More

When I went in yesterday and today I found that the management staff was rude and condescending. This includes the service manager as well as the new and used car sales managers. I was made to stand around for 3 and a half hours simply waiting to talk with someone about the problems. Yankee Ford does not feel they owe it to me to make any of the problems right despite the fact that they were not disclosed to me at the time of the sale. The only thing they did was reset the check engine light, this took them an entire day and they didn't have the decency to call me and let me know they had "looked" at the car. They have done nothing but rip me off and waste my time. I highly recommend reading reviews on yelp and autotrader, they echo the same thing. These guys have terrible customer service, they don't care about you, just the quick buck that you might make them. I feel bad as this only hurts their sales team, people like Julie and Joe, the only two decent people I spoke to there. I'd stay away from Brunswick Ford as they're under the same sloppy ownership. If you find yourself in the market check out Casco Bay Ford in Yarmouth. I've always had a great experience with them. More
Would not recommend! There were so many issues I'm not sure where to begin. After deciding our family had "out grown" our current vehicle my husband and I started shopping for bigger vehicles. We tried out several different makes/models and decided we liked the Toyota Sequoias the best. After shopping around for about 6 mos we found one online at Yankee Ford that looked like a good deal. We set up a time for the following day to look at the vehicle. Since we were 2 hours away my husband had to take the morning off from work. When we arrived Jamie (the salesman we had been dealing with over the phone) informed us that the vehicle was still in the service department and he had tried to text us...we did not receive a text. Since we had driven 2 hours we decided to wait. It was obvious right off that that the dealership lacked professionalism. The sales people dressed very sloppy, you can wear jeans and still look respectable. Instead of talking with customers that were in the show room they were playing games on their phones. One of the sales people brought their 3 year old to work and he was running around completely unsupervised to the point I felt I needed to watch him. Once we drove the vehicle we decided it was worth seeing what they could do. They gave us a very good trade in on our '05 Cadillac Srx however the monthly payment on the sequoia was more than we wanted to spend. Jamie then tried to talk me into leasing a Ford Explorer. I explained to him that I needed something bigger and of all the vehicles I tried out I liked the sequoia the best. He then tried to make me feel guilty for not buying an American made vehicle. After going back and forth he told us he could get our payment lower if we had a good credit score (which we do) however if we filled out the loan paperwork we would be locked into buying the vehicle. I'm 38 years old and it not the first time I've purchased a vehicle so I know that's not true. I passed it off as Jamie being young and inexperienced, I told him to go ahead and run our credit but that we would be checking with the our bank as well. Two days later we received a call from Yankee's lending department telling us the great interest rate they could get us, it was 1% higher than our bank was offering. They then called us back 5 min later with a lower rate (still not as low as our bank) and tried to bad mouth the bank we have used for years. We got everything set up with our bank and told Jamie we be down early on Saturday to fill out the paperwork and pick up the car but that we needed to be back for our daughter's basketball game that afternoon. After filling out all the paperwork we were told they were just finishing cleaning the veh and it would be about 10 minutes. An hour and a half later after my husband had to search someone down to find out what was going on we were finally able to leave. Two weeks later I rolled my passenger side window down and it fell inside the door. I took it to my local mechanic who was able to tape it up and tell me what was wrong. Since we had a 30 day warranty my husband called Yankee for to see if they would go good it. We were told that we should talk with Jamie our salesman again. He promised to look into it and call us back 2 days later and we still had not received a call my husband called again and Jamie still hadn't looked into it and his response was that he found it hard to believe we had the vehicle for two weeks and had not rolled the window down. Not that it matters but it's January in Maine I don't know many people that roll their passenger side windows down. At this point my husband lost his patience and called the owner of the dealership who sympathized with us and told him he would get back to us. That was on a Friday morning by Tuesday we still hadn't heard anything so again my husband made another call and was told Jamie was supposed to have called to tell us that we could bring it to one of their other dealerships that were closer to us (still over an hour away) and they would look at it. We then received a call from Tim in Yankee's service department telling us that it was ridiculous for us to have to drive so far for such a simple fix. He told us to have our local mechanic do the repair and they would pay him directly...thank you Tim!!!! Tim is the only reason I am giving this a 1 star rating. I can tell you we will NEVER buy a vehicle through them again no matter how good the deal! The owner should take a serious look at his employees they are rude and unprofessional. I will also be sure to check reviews on dealerships next time I buy a car. By the looks of it I am not the only one who has had a horrible experience with this dealership. More

Found a vehicle I really liked and called the individual I was working with, Travis, and he said he would call me back but never did. It makes me wonder how bad this organization wants to sell cars. The guy was nice enough but it does not seem like they are a very professional organization based on my experience and the feedback I have read here. I would suggest going to a different dealer to get a vehicle. More
Threatened by Sales Manager Today at about 11:00 I walked into Yankee ford to talk to the Sales manager about a car I purchased that after less then 3 months it needs a new engin Today at about 11:00 I walked into Yankee ford to talk to the Sales manager about a car I purchased that after less then 3 months it needs a new engine and transmission. I did purchase the car as is with no warranty like I have many other vehicles through out my life. However, I expect that if I purchase a vehicle from a dealership they are going to want to keep the customer happy and have them return next time they purchase a vehicle. My intent in visiting the sales manager Robert Esposito this morning was to see if they would even try to come up with some sort of agreement. Well I had previously spoken with the internet sales manager so they were ready for me when I got there. Mr. Esposito started off with its your problem not ours you purchased it as is with no warranty. I tried to get him to understand that because of the problems with the car I purchased I needed to buy another car now and would be willing to purchase to them if we could reach some sort of understanding. He didn't care it was my problem not theirs. The problems with this car put it squarely under Maine's lemon law. Mr Esposito tried to tell me it did not and that he would deny the claim from the state, like he has final say in it. When I told him that I would share this story with others and it would cost him customers he said he was tired of me threatening him and I had to leave his store. I said I was not threatening but would leave the store. At this point he stood up and took an aggressive and threatening stance against me. Then proceeded to follow me out of the store threatening me with "you better not tell any lies about my dealership." Two problems with that is I don't like and the second I don't need to like the truth is bad enough. I will get this taken care of through Maine's Lemon Law but I would also strongly discourage anyone from doing business with Yankee Ford or Brunswick ford (owned by the same people). Even Mr. Esposito has the buyer beware attitude in how he deals with things. I encourage you to look at other complaints about this dealership this is not a unique situation where the sales manager tries to use physical and verbal intimidation against un-happy customers. More
