This dealership is now under new management (as of October) and they are a truly professional operation that is a pleasure to deal with. My first contact was with John, the business development guy, w October) and they are a truly professional operation that is a pleasure to deal with. My first contact was with John, the business development guy, with whom i scheduled my test drive and appointment. I chose this dealership because they had exactly the car that I wanted, but I was prepared to go elsewhere if I was treated shabbily as so often happens when you are a woman walking into a dealership. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly attitude of the sales team, the willingness to accomodate and work with me to get me what I wanted at the price that I wanted, and the general professionalism of the entire team. After my test drive (as an attorney, I was surprised by how little information they required from me before handing me the keys), I met with Nicholas de Filippis, a true professional who really knows his Volkswagens but was completely low pressure. The entire process was completely painless and unstressful. I had such low expectations for my first car buying experience that I was pleasantly amazed by the customer first approach here. I was afforded both respect and courtesy without any sales pressure. I had an appointment scheduled at a different (highly rated) dealership after the one i had here, and I ended up cancelling it and purchasing the vehicle here instead based upon the good deal and great service that I had received. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a friendly dealership and professional sales team who is willing to work with you to give you a great price. More
I had leased a Passat from World Volkswagon in 2005. Not only did I have eccessive issues with the car, but I received awful customer service. They refused to replace two of the four interior pieces that we only did I have eccessive issues with the car, but I received awful customer service. They refused to replace two of the four interior pieces that were peeling claiming that two of the four were caused by exterior factors, claiming that it could be from my nails! As if I clawed at the interior of my car after 6 months of owning it! The air conditioner needed to be replaced after 8 months and not all the screws were out back in. There was constantly an issue with the car and everytime I brought it in not only did they not have a loaner ever but I received an attitude from them as if I were a bother. Recently I went to turn in my lease that had overage mileage and they wouldn't even work with me. The manager was insistent that he wouldn't even work with me until I forked over a check for about $8,000. He talked to me in such a manner as if he were talking down to me. Coincidently all the sales men there were new...can't imagine why!!! I went to Freehold Volkswagon and received impeckable service. Hard to believe that both were Volkswagon dealers. I would never recommend World Volkswagon to anyone, especially when you can drive just a few more miles and receive the service that you deserve as a buyer. What a shame. More
