Most of the time this has nothing to do with the dealer, it's just what happens with cars. As a customer however, there may be occasions when you need or expect your dealer to help you solve a problem after the sale. I've certainly encountered situations where the dealership was my best friend while selling me the car, but if anything happened to go wrong after the sale, treated me like a leper when I needed their help. In July of 2015, I purchased a 2012 GTI from World of Neptune. Shorty after taking delivery, I noticed a mechanical problem I hadn't seen before the purchase. When I called World, their response was, "bring it in, we'll take care of it". No questions asked. A few days later, I encountered another problem that was unseen at purchase. Again I called World and again their response was "bring it in, we'll take care of it". There's always a certain amount of trust that goes into a car purchase. How do you know if the dealership will stand behind their products and put the customer first? This could easily be one of those used car horror stories, but instead it's an unequivocal endorsement of World of Neptune. They do put the customer first and you can trust them when they tell you their goal is your satisfaction. Whether it was Joseph my salesman, Jason the used car manager, Mike in Service or Kevin in internet sales, their actions all pointed to the same conclusion; these are good, honest people who actually value their customers.
