For the last year I was researching sedans based on price and fuel efficiency and the VW Passat uniformly was rated highly among independent auditors, i.e. Motor Trend, Consumer Reports, and Edmunds to name and fuel efficiency and the VW Passat uniformly was rated highly among independent auditors, i.e. Motor Trend, Consumer Reports, and Edmunds to name a few. So I visited the VW Web site for more details and to build my Passat online, and was directed to World VW in Neptune, NJ. I used the VW site to request a test drive of the Passat and was almost immediately contacted by Mike Papa via email. We chatted back and forth a few times and Mike's approach was perfect. He was friendly, informative and NOT pushy. Based on the initial vibe I got from Mike, I decided to visit the showroom. Like most car buyers, even though I did my homework, I was anxious about the potential 'sales experience' I faced. But I have to tell you, the experience was a pleasure from start to finish. I walked up to the front doors of the dealership and was greeted outside by Nick DeFilippis. Nick was just like Mike: easy to talk to you, friendly, listened to what I was saying and did NOT try to sell me. Nick knows cars, he specifically knows VWs, and he obviously knows what good, down to earth customer service is all about. I felt relaxed and taken care of. Mind you, previous buying experiences I have had in my life left me feeling rung out and stressed. I'm happy to report that my experience with Mike, Nick and the entire gang at World VW in Neptune impressed me very much. Great people, friendly service AND I drove away with a beautiful 2013 VW Passat Wolfsburg Edition - in black just like I wanted! Great price, reasonable financing and effortless. Buying a car does take some time, so I was with the team for a few hours BUT Nick and the team made me feel at home. I highly recommend World VW in Neptune, NJ if you're looking for a new, or pre-owned car. Trust me, I wasn't looking forward to the buying experience, but I look forward to the relationship I'm going to have with Nick and the team during routine service visits, etc. Great peeps and great cars! What an amazing dealership...except for signing but I will get to that later. We stopped in on Saturday to look at the VW and were fortunate enough to meet Roy. He allowed my wife and I to drive the car and explained most of the gadgets in the car. He made us feel like we knew him for ever and told us about his wife Judy and how they were both proud VW owners! I did some shopping around and called Roy and asked if World would meet the price I was quoted. He called me back within the hour and the deal was made. He spend about an hour with my wife after the sale explaining all of the componets and hooked up our phones as well. WHAT A GREAT Salesman. NOW.....to the back office.... We were greeted by Joe and the first words out of his mouth were, " you know that your car is going to loose 20-25 percent as soon as you drive out of here." Definitely not what a new car owner wants to hear. Then he proceeds to try and sell us gap insurnace for 35 per month (my last 2 leases this was included). After saying no, I ask him who he works for? He proceeds to tell me that he works for about 30 banks and is there to protect us and act as the liasion between the bank and the dealership. I have relatives in the business in NY and knew this was NOT the case... Next he tried to sell us tire coverage and plenty of other JUNK...when we refused he wrote on a piece of paper...customer refused and had us sign...clearly this is his way of trying to get us to sign...NOW THE BEST...he asks how are you paying me the acquisition fee? Cash or Credit? I started to get up and say this deal is done...he said I guess the dealer is eating this. Spoke with the GSM later and this dealer needs to get rid of this CREEP. More

By far the greatest experience my fiancé and I had at a dealership. Every chance I get, I spread the word about our Salesman Vinny and the wonderful experience at World VW. The finance department works with your situation every way possible making it a hassle free process.
