Kia has an Engine settlement, and I brought my vehicle in because I've been experiencing issues that were engine-related. I was told there was a waiting list to look at the vehicle and there were no loaner vehicles, so I decided to trade in my vehicle. I had checked off that the vehicle was salvaged because that's what I was told when I had previously tried refinancing the vehicle. Later on, I was told that I could not trade in the vehicle because it was a salvage vehicle and that it is worth nothing and could not be traded in. I desperately needed a car so I selected the best option at the time with "no money down." After purchasing this car, I tried to request the document stating that the Kia Soul was salvaged. I finally went up to the dealership on 08/13 and spoke to a salesman named Moe he was able to get the document for me in less than five minutes and he even pointed out that it said NOTHING about the vehicle being salvaged. My question is if the vehicle was not salvaged why was I told I could not trade in my vehicle AT ALL? Even if the dealership gave something for the vehicle that would have been better than leaving me with two car notes! I spoke with the manager Robert tonight and he seemed to have an attitude about the situation and could not even give a time range as to when I would receive a call back from the general manager Josh. All I'm asking is that the people who work here be honest and not make things up and make life difficult. Your customers are the reason you're in business. Somebody needs to reevaluate my Kia Soul and tell me why exactly this car was not taken in, and employees need to be talked to about giving the wrong information to customers regarding the car being "worth nothing." This dealership needs to be held accountable! More

Went in this afternoon to view a vehicle after confirming on the phone, the price multiple times and that it was available. Our salesperson was extremely personable and confirmed the price once again. Test d on the phone, the price multiple times and that it was available. Our salesperson was extremely personable and confirmed the price once again. Test drove the vehicle and was ready to sign paperwork and again confirmed the price and that they had just dropped the price significantly due to it sitting. Came back with the bill of sale to them using the previous price, even the salesman was confused when we pointed out that it wasn’t the price we were talking about. Manager then came over after the salesman pointed out the price online and stated it was an error on cars.com and that they just came and taken pictures (makes 0 sense since the pictures have been available for nearly 2 months) and they wouldn’t honor the price given to us multiple times by multiple people. Needless to say we walked away extremely frustrated, to no fault of our salesman. I’d give 1 star but due to our salesman being so friendly and having great conversations, I’m giving 2. Buyers beware that confirming the price multiple times means nothing and you’ll be wasting time and gas to this dealership. More
Let me start by saying, Mike Bratlien at world Kia Joliet is phenomenal at what he does. I cannot recommend him enough if you are in the market for a vehicle. He and the majority of the staff at world Kia ar is phenomenal at what he does. I cannot recommend him enough if you are in the market for a vehicle. He and the majority of the staff at world Kia are excellent at what they do which is why my family and I returned when looking to purchase what would have been 4th vehicle with world Kia Joliet. However, the reason for this one star review is because of sales manager Pete. A sales manager who should reconsider his career in a customer facing industry. Pete was the exact opposite of what you can expect from world Kia Joliet. He is arrogant, egotistical, short tempered, and plain rude. I admittedly came into the location with a difficult task at hand of transitioning out of one vehicle with negative equity into a new vehicle. Mike and the other managers had initially helped me out with this and initially proposed a great deal, prior to credit applications. I had to leave and return a couple of hours later to then run my credit application and finish the deal. However, after running the application the numbers on both the new vehicle and my trade in value magically changed. My objective to lower my car payment and maintain the same finance term no longer seemed feasible. This is when Pete decides to barge into the interaction. Pete comes to the table with a price break down and immediately starts reviewing the numbers. With not so much as an introduction or hello, despite never have spoken to Pete. Manners aside, Pete then continues to review numbers without letting me so much as get a question in. I let him finish after he asks me to reserve questions until he is done presenting the questions. I then ask may I do the math myself because the numbers presented are not the numbers I was told before I left, the numbers we had agreed to prior to me committing to come back and do the credit application. After some back and forth where I am attempting to explain to Pete my misunderstanding of the numbers proposed Pete continues to tell me there’s no need to write out the math as ‘it’s simple math’. I do not respond to his smart remark, rather I ask if he is in a rush since he keeps telling me to not write anything down. To which he responds no, he has all day. I thank him for clarifying and state that I would like to just do the numbers for my own benefit to ensure I am not signing up for anything I don’t understand. Pete continues to remain flustered and argumentative with my process, which I am no math expert but do comprehend basic arithmetic, so I was not taking up much time at all. After disagreeing again with numbers and again explaining that cannot agree to the proposed offer, as well as clearly stating my required terms. Pete decides it is professional to yell ‘well I can’t do that for you’ and storm away from the desk without so much as a goodbye or thank you for coming. At no point in the interaction was I or anyone in my family rude to Pete, to the contrary we stood silent throughout his rude nature. I do not understand why Pete was so mad, everyone has a bad day but there is no reason for someone who holds a position of leadership to act the way Pete did. And for what? After I walk out of the show room to leave the dealership all together, I am told if I would like to process the deal they will meet my terms. But who would walk back into an establishment where they are treated so poorly for simply asking questions about their potential purchase? I still maintain that majority of the staff at World Kia are pleasant, but if you ever have the misfortune of having to work on a deal with Pete, just walk away, he will likely storm away anyway. More
