I purchase a used truck from the dealership and two weeks later the motor went out in it. From the start the finance manager (don’t remember his name) was very rude and not pleasant to do business with. Neg later the motor went out in it. Then I realized he did not include the tax, title, and license in the amount we were negotiating. Then he attempted to tell me that he could not add Louisiana taxes which I knew was not true. They were just trying to get more money. All the paperwork had to be redone. I started to walk away from the deal then, and should have. Prior to knowing there were any mechanical issues, I already knew I would not be back to this dealership in the future. The salesman’s seemed okay. However, he stated he knew the person this vehicle came from and it was in good condition. They only trade in for an upgrade. I believe they knew the truck had issues. He also stated that he has work with the finance guy for many years even at a previous dealership. So they know how each other do business…which puts him in the same category. I didn’t purchased an extended warranty, so they stated there is nothing they can do. I realize you never know what you are getting with a used vehicle but to get a truck with 100k miles and two weeks later the check engine light comes on only to find out it needs a whole new motor sucks and seems unlikely they didn’t know there was an issue prior to selling. It literally lasted two weeks. And they have no resolve, so I will seek legal counsel. More
