Worst car dealership experience ever. I showed up, laid everything out on the table, and they came back with a price $150 a month over what we could afford. When i questioned the price they returned with a everything out on the table, and they came back with a price $150 a month over what we could afford. When i questioned the price they returned with a price only $60 above my bottom line on the same car and claimed they forgot to factor in our down payment. At that point i asked if they had another car that they could offer and they came back with a hard no. I asked if i could see on paper how they came to the total price and was denied there. The sales manager wouldn't take the time to listen to our needs and you could tell he did not want us as customers. Dan Platteter does not care about his customers and does not deserve anyone's business. More

I confirmed 3 times with him that the deal didn't include rebates I didn't qualify for and that there were no other hidden fees or surprises (like the unit was a loaner) i could expect. He assigned John Haddon as the sales person and John also confirmed the numbers and assured me there were no hidden surprises. So my wife could stay home with our kids, I took an Uber from Huntley to Woodfield Nissan to pick up the Armada. When I arrived and started looking the vehicle over, John Haddon informed me the vehicle had sustained transport damage, had been repaired, and that I would have to sign off on a disclosure form acknowledging the damages & repairs. I told him this was the exact kind of surprise I didn't want, but humored him and took a look at the form, which turned out to be 3-4 pages of detail and several thousand dollars worth of damage. I told him it was unbelievable that after i asked he and Jason multiple times to confirm there were no hidden surprises, they intentionally chose to hide this until I showed up in the dealership. I told him the deal was off and took an Uber back to Huntley. I will never buy or lease from Woodfield Nissan again based on this experience. We have since taken delivery of an identically equipped, new 2019 Armada Platinum from a different Nissan dealer. More
BUYER BEWARE- get EVERYTHING in writing I won’t go as far as to give the place one star because we did get good deals on the THREE vehicles we purchased in 2.5 years here. However, we were I won’t go as far as to give the place one star because we did get good deals on the THREE vehicles we purchased in 2.5 years here. However, we were offered free oil changes by the general manger during the period in which we were financing the vehicle. It was explained to us that the free oil changes came in booklets of six but, no worries, when we used the first six they’d get us another. Of course by the time six were used, there was a new GM who is fighting us tooth and nail about honoring this. We were told it needed to have been in writing although HAVE IT IN AN EMAIL FROM THE GM. Bottom line, Woodfield Nissan will tell you what you want to hear to sign the papers but is unwilling to live up to their word. Make sure if you are offered anything that it’s written in the actual deal, because Woodfield Nissan is the only place on Earth who doesn’t consider an email to be in writing. dint be naive like we were and think these people are trustworthy. I was told I Urgently needed over $1000 worth of services. One which included rear brakes and rotors. I took my car to three other brake repair places in all of them told me that I had approximately 40,000 miles left on my rear brakes. I contacted the general manager who referred me to the service manager, we played phone tag for a few days and then I never heard from them. They try to rip you off for services that you don’t need. Brake fluid So i change a brake fluid with this dealer which they recomended, because i know a little mechanical cars i bought a brake fluid tester and check it b So i change a brake fluid with this dealer which they recomended, because i know a little mechanical cars i bought a brake fluid tester and check it by myself, yes it shows a first red light which means not necessarily but very soon i should change, because i take care of my car i did it, when i come back home again i check if they changed it and surprise they just add a little fluid and my tester shows second yellow light which is almost red, after 4 days i went back to the dealer and talk with manager, he said it never gonna be green because some old fluid stays in a system and always gonna be like this which is not true it should be green and didn't want to do anything about it but i thought. to check it now at dealer parking because it probably mixed with the old fluid and it gonna be red again, i was right the light was red again after i drove around 100 miles. Of course manager didn't go with me to see the tester light because i'm almost sure he knew they didn't change the fluid, after that they did it again but now i was watching them to make sure they change it, after they change it the light come green, so do you know what i mean, be very careful with them because they charge you a lot of money and don't do the job.I will never go again to this dealer mechanic. Don't waste your time. I've been a customer for 4 years. I recently had some service done and my vehicle was damaged. The service manager Mike was kind enough to write it into the ticket to say it was damaged. Unfortunately, I won't be returning anytime soon. Every time I do business with them there is a problme. Bought a new car, and the warranty salesmen tried to slip in a "Rim Protection" package. That was a real insult. Had service for a recall done and they told me I'd need a rental car. Got the rental car and within seconds, they called saying the service was done! What a waste of my time. I believe this dalership has some real problems that no one is willing to see or deal with. You will be on the hook for their mistakes. Understand this, Woodfield Nissian just wants your money. Once they have it. You don't matter anymore. FIND A LOCAL MECHANIC YOU TRUST. Norwood Auto service is great, ask for Dave! You've been warned. Prepair for trouble if your going to Woodfield Nissian!!! More
