My wife and I made an appointment to see a used vehicle. Ray met us before we got to the door. Seemed to be in a frantic hurry the entire time we were there. We test drove the vehicle with Ray. Ray could not answer any questions we had during the drive. When my wife said she wasn't interested in this vehicle he said" this is not a museum we are selling these cars". Be fore we got back to the dealership Ray was upset the car in front of us at the stop light was doing what he wanted. So he jumped out of the SUV and ran up to the other car and argued with them to drive like he wanted them to. This could have been a very dangerous situation he put my wife and I in.We did not buy the vehicle, and got out of there as fast as we could. More
I saw an advertised price on the dealer’s website for a new 2025 Nissan Sentra. The listing included all dealer incentives and clearly stated that additional conditional offers, such as Military and Colleg new 2025 Nissan Sentra. The website also featured the typical “unlock your instant price” gimmick, which required entering personal information. I was contacted by Caitlin Szczypta about coming in for a test drive. I explained that I already knew everything about the vehicle, that I was purchasing it for someone else, and that I would be paying cash. Despite this, she refused to provide an out the door price. Instead, she increased the originally quoted price by an additional $1,300, claiming the price had gone up since my inquiry the night before. When I checked the website again, the price was the same as before. Even then, she still would not commit to an out the door price over the phone. At that point, I chose not to purchase from this dealership. I ended up buying a similar vehicle from another dealer who not only beat Woodfield Nissan’s advertised price but also handled the entire transaction by phone and email. They even delivered the vehicle to my home. I never had to set foot in the dealership or deal with the high pressure tactics that Caitlin was using. The tactics used by this dealership feel outdated, straight out of the 70s and 80s, and are exactly the kind of practices that give car dealers a bad reputation. They need to modernize their approach and show integrity by honoring their advertised prices when a customer is ready to buy. I would not recommend or refer anyone to this dealership. Additionally, Caitlin could benefit from coaching on how to communicate with customers without making them feel talked down to or disrespected. More
