I liked this dealer because They do not JACK the price up like your HIGHWAY dealers do( pin striping $1300.00 body side moulding $1400.00.) and tell you $5000.00 off dealer posted price. Dont even bother taking your car here for anything. Brought mine in for an electrical problem, under warranty, no customers in site, pretty empty lot, and was told to bring it back two days later. The reason, Vacations, and getting the work already there done. Insane. The guy I spoke with would not even get of the chair, and more people walking around looking busy than anything else. Very rude people, and they really could care less. Now I know why I didn;t buy the car there...Didn;t want to subject myself to more stupidity and rudeness. Why does Ford keep this place open ?? More
I had the unpleasant experience of bringing a vehicle in for a recall and could not understand why all of the customer service personnel where unpleasant, rude, irritaded and unhelpful. I was actually considering trading in my vehicle for another Ford, but after the recall experience, I don't ever want to purchase another Ford product. Great job customer service, keep up the crappy work and soon you'll be out of business. More
Comical. I'm unsure how this dealership remains in business. They would not honor the National Ford Promotion on the fianancing and the price of the car changed continually higher as you went along. business. Holding the print out from Ford.com and providing same to the manager didn't even matter. No wonder Hondas and Toyotas outsell these American dealerships. Complete hassle. Do not deal with Bell Ford in Colonia NJ. I would first say not to deal with Ford at all, but specifically not this place. I bought my 2007 Ford Mustang there in October 2007. The clutch went on the ca say not to deal with Ford at all, but specifically not this place. I bought my 2007 Ford Mustang there in October 2007. The clutch went on the car in 5 months. They "fixed" it and then in a matter of days, I was driving home from work on the NJ Turnpike and the clutch went again. Mind you, I've driven clutch cars my entire life, I know how to operate manual automobiles. Here's where the even worse part comes in: I brought my car in the second time and it sat in the service center from LATE MAY UNTIL NEARLY SEPTEMBER. At first it was to take a day, then two days, then a week, then two weeks, then a month. It ended up being in the service for at least 75 days because they couldn't "locate the part". Apparently, this was a BRAND NEW vehicle and no part was available ALL SUMMER. So basically I bought a Mustang in NJ and couldn't even use it during the summer months. Instead I drove around in a bright green Ford Focus (which I purposely let bird crap get all over every square inch and refused to wash it). I ended up putting through Lemon Law on the vehicle and received $3,000 for my "pain and suffering". Although it took a year to process the case. Now it's January 2011. My car once again needed service and I (stupidly?) brought it back to Bell Ford in Colonia. Again, this car is only FOUR YEARS old. I'm not requesting parts for a 1973 Ford Mustang or something ridiculous. But again, I receive the phone call telling me they cannot locate the spring for the emergency brake and it will be another day. Then I call the next day and they say they still can't find the part in any location and it will be at least another day. I ask if it will be a week and they say they're not sure, it could very well be. I am completely baffled by this, by Bell Ford Colonia AND by Ford in general. They have destroyed any faith I had in them even after my first incident. I will urge you and every person on this planet not only to not purchase a vehicle or have work done at Bell Ford Colonia, but at the same time, DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY or any dealership selling Ford vehicles. I am a business student in the MBA program. I am studying strategic management. I know how the process of a company should work to maintain a competitive advantage and gain above-average returns. FORD IS FAILING in every aspect of strategic management. By treating their customers like pure garbage, they will not last long into the 21st century and will be quickly eaten up by competent automobile companies that actually care about their customers. I did not buy my truck here, but i brought it here for service due to it being so close to my home. I own a 2006 explorer that would clunk into gear when put into reverse. I brought it in with 58,000 miles, my power-train warranty is up at 60,000. They claimed there was nothing wrong with my truck. They also claimed they couldn't get it to do the clunk. Then on the service receipt they claim it will clunk when on an incline. I called ford directly and they also claim this is normal behavior for this truck. Talk about xxxxxxxx. I feel like they dont want to do the work cause my warranty is almost up. At this point I dont think I'll ever buy a ford again. More
I bought my 2004 F-150 from Bell Ford in Colonia, NJ and have thus far always taken it there for service. I tried to be a "loyal" Bell Ford customer. I liked that they were around the corner from work and that they USED TOO give you a free loaner when they did work. I bought my F150 from them. Immediately there was trouble the salesman said he took care of my insurance but I found out I had been driving my truck for two weeks without insurance,. The day I bought my truck they said they contacted my insurance company but that wasn't true. Their response to this was that it was my responsibility. Just this week I called them because since they installed a new trans for me the 4wd started clicking. I called and asked if they could be related and I even told the girl that if the new trans install couldn't have messed up the 4wd I wouldn't bring it in because I didn't want to spend more money on the truck. She put me on hold and then said yes bring it in. I brought it in and the next day the manager calls me to tell me they fixed it and I was being charged $100. I never got a call until after they fixed it. He said it didn't matter because that was what they charged for diagnosing. (I HAD ALREADY EXPLAINED THAT I WANTED THEM TO LOOK AT IT BECAUSE i THOUGHT THEY DID SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TRANS INSTALLATION! didn't quite say it that way because I was trying to be polite) I never signed a work order. I payed the bill but probably shouldn't have. All they did is lube up the hubs and it says in the work order if it comes back I will need to get new hubs. I had also asked them to take a look at my moonroof again. It has a wet ring around it and Bell Ford charged me $100 months ago to blow out the drains! They said they couldn't find a leak. Well now months later there isn't just a ring... it's a wet ring but they still say no leak. At least they didn't charge me for that. MOnths ago I also brought in the truck because my emergency parking brake was suddenly frozen in the on position on one wheel. I thought this would be covered under warranty but no.. Bell Ford told me I might as well get the rear brakes done too since I would need them soon. I said no since I know how to do brakes and I didn't think I needed them. Sure enough 30,000 miles later I did the brakes and there was still lots of pad left. Bell Ford lied and tried to do unnecessary work on my truck. On another occasion my truck was hesitating real bad so I brought it in thinking spark plugs. They said it was the trans. I let them sell me an entire new trans and then 1000 miles later the exact same symptoms started and they said I needed new plugs and a few new coils. $800 spark plug job thanks to fords two piece plugs. I am left wondering if I EVER NEEDED A NEW TRANS. This was either one heck of a coincidence or I got ripped off big time by Bell Ford. This has been my experience with Bell Ford. I will never buy a Ford again (many other things have gone wrong with my truck) and after today I will never bring my truck or any car to Bell Ford in COlonia, NJ. They are crooks. They should be closed down for the way they do "business" BEWARE OF BELL. More
Dealt with Jose in Sales. I think he was a manager. Every word that came out of his mouth was a lie. He promises one price and then when you are ready to sign the price goes up. Then when you go to finance, the price goes up again. I should have listen to my neighbors locally who told me not to go there, but they were closer than Oasis Ford to me so I went to Bell Ford. I even spoke to the owner who seemed like he was a product of the 60's drug years. I got different prices from 3 different people who could not seem to get it together. Get this, the highest price for my Explorer, came from the owner himself! I think his name was Mark or Matt. Save yourself the trip don't bother going to Bell Ford in Colonia. More
