We purchased our car, and the platinum warranty, in 2017. For years we had wonderful experiences with other Hyundai dealerships… and then we took our vehicle to Wilson County Hyundai. We brought our car in with a list of issues that needed to be addressed… a transmission jerkiness, a check engine light on, an A/C actuator issue, among others. As the A/C issue is intermittent, we brought video of the issue. They had my car for three weeks, during which time they did not communicate with us unless we called them. At the beginning of week 3, they offered us a loaner vehicle when they told us they would need more time with my car. Today they called to tell us my car was ready to be picked up. We picked up the car to find that they had fixed ZERO of the issues. They said that they could not replicate any of the issues so they didn’t fix anything. Then they escorted us out the door and locked it behind us (apparently they are very serious about closing at 6 pm). As we drove away, with the check engine light still on, the transmission jerked in the very manner they claimed they could not replicate. This experience has made us very very certain that we will never again buy a Hyundai because they cannot be trusted to honor their warranty nor to fix the issues that the vehicle has. 3 weeks without our car put undue hardship on our family…and having the car returned without any resolution to ANY issue was a slap in the face. Shame on you Wilson County Hyundai. More
Be afraid, be very afraid to take your Huyndai to Wilson Count Hyundai (herearfer written as "WCH") service department. Taking my 2015 Hyundai Sonats on 01/04/2025 for its regular maintenance procdure lef Count Hyundai (herearfer written as "WCH") service department. Taking my 2015 Hyundai Sonats on 01/04/2025 for its regular maintenance procdure lef me with a key fob that was broken by WCH personnel. Philip McDonald promptly explained that the broken fob would be replaced & I would be informed when the replacement would be ready. The replacement was ready the following week and I arrived on Saturdya, 01/11/2025 @ 8 AM to retrvieve the replaceement, as directed by Phylip McDonald, the "advisor" who conducted this replacement process. Phiip Mcdonald was not available on Satuday, 01/11, and I was referred to Austin Davis, a second "advisor." Austin stated that the replacement was ready to be programmed and asked me to take a seat in the waiting area. After a few minutes, he asked if I brought the broken fob as it is needed to program the new fog. I stated I was not advised to bring the broken fob, so I did not. Austin Davis stated that Philip advised me to bring the fob. I replied that he did not and promplty looked up the corresspondcence between Philip McDonald & me for evidence of this instruction. There was none. However, I drove the 16 miles back home, retrieved the broken fob, returned to WCH. The new fob was programmed and I departed. WCH. As I drove home, I realized that I did not recieve a printed statement of the transaction, so drove back to WCH to retrieve this paper statement of today's transaction & process. Austin Davis stated that he did not print a statement about the incident since WCH was "taking care of" the expense of the replacement fob. I stated that I need the printed evidence of today's transaction, just like all the transactional statements I have received from WCH. Today's matter is no exception to that process. Austin Davis finally printed the statement. The statement he gave me showed a balance due of $684.03. I queried Austin Davis about this balance sum, and he stated,"we are taking care of the cost." I asked him to handwrite this infromation on the statement and sign it. Austing Davis stated that he woud write the declaration on the printed statement but HE WOULD NOT SIGN HIS NAME ON IT. Austin Davis stateed that this issue is Philip McDonald's and he would not put his name to it. The words Austint Davis hand printed were not an adequate declaration: "Hyundai is taking care of it." So, I asked Austin Davis to revise his handwritten declaration, changing the "it" to the actual item that Hyundai is "taken care of". At this point, Austin Davis became beligerent and stated that I was "harrassing" him! Austin Davis DID finally change the verbiage on the statemtent to read, "Hyundai is taking care of the balance." Austin Davis should not be allowed to interact with WCH clientele. He does not like to be approached with customer's requests or queries. He is antagonistic, rude, and verbally abusive. Austin Davis treated me, the client as if I were HIS adversary. Due to Austin Davis' hostive treatement of this client, I will NEVER AGAIN take my Hyundai to WCH for service. Shame on WCH for hiring such a malevolant person as Austin Davis. to "serve" the clientele of the "service" department. My next auto purchase will be ANYTHING OTHER THAN A HYUNDAI FROM WILSON COUNTY HYUNDAY. (Austin Davis, when you have a moment, investigate the images of replacement key fobs for 2015 Sonata's. You will be enlightened to see the physical key that is present in the fobs.) My next vehicle purchase will be made ANYWHERE OTHER THAN WILSON COUNTY HYUNDAI & ANY AUTO OTHER THAN A HYUNDAI. . More
My brother, who is partially disabled, has taken his 2018 Hyundai, to Wilson County Hyundai for repeated engine issues. Every time they charge another $185 for a diagnostic fee and then $185 per hour for lab Hyundai, to Wilson County Hyundai for repeated engine issues. Every time they charge another $185 for a diagnostic fee and then $185 per hour for labor. A few weeks ago he took it in due to engine issues and was charged over $500 for a $35 part and 1/2 hour of labor. When I went back with him to question the charge, the service person said that was their policy. To charge a diagnostic fee every visit, $ 50 shop charge and $185/hr. for labor. I asked how they sleep at night charging someone over $500 for a $35 part and 1/2 hour of labor. No response. In the past 6 months, my brother has spent almost $2k in engine repairs and the car still burns oil. My brother has been a loyal Hyundai customer for 18 years and they do not care. I emailed the owner, Paine Bone, and never even got a response. Needless to say, we will never set foot in a Hyundai dealership again. We went last week and bought my brother a 2025 Toyota Corolla. Stay clear of Hyundai and this dealership as they are crooks! More
