Quick and competent I recently took my car in for oil change and 30K check up. I also had a recall notice that was taken care of at the same time. The service department wasn’t too busy due to Covid outbreak. They took my car with an appointment right on time and very quickly. They had an area outside for me to wait. I have been concerned for many months about an engine noise on cold start that was getting gradually worse. I suspected a timing chain tensioner problem that should have been covered by the 10 year/100,0 noise on cold start that was getting gradually worse. I suspected a timing chain tensioner problem that should have been covered by the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty, but I was skeptical that the dealership/manufacturer would honor that warranty. I discussed the problem with the Willowbrook service manager, Ben Nisbet, and played a video recording to him of the startup noise. To my surprise and delight, he agreed that was probably the cause and accepted responsibility for the repair under warranty provided their analysis confirmed my suspicion. He and the service advisor, Luis, treated me respectfully and answered all of my questions. They did not ask me to provide evidence of periodic oil changes, proper maintenance, etc. Their only concern seemed to be my satisfaction. The vehicle was repaired with no dispute and at no cost to me. I am very pleased with their performance. The repair appears to have been effective, no oil leaks, noise absent.
