Alex went out of his way to help us. We bought a used truck, and they went through it, found an issue and made sure it was fixed before we drove off with it. Very down to earth and probably the lowest pr truck, and they went through it, found an issue and made sure it was fixed before we drove off with it. Very down to earth and probably the lowest pressure salesmen I have ever met. I will definitely be a returning customer. More

I recently took my car to this Sanford car dealer to have some warranty worked performed on the bearings. When I arrived at the car dealership to pick up my car I was reminded by the service department rep t some warranty worked performed on the bearings. When I arrived at the car dealership to pick up my car I was reminded by the service department rep that I would receive a GM survey and advised that I should fill it out as completely satisfied as the service department is what keeps them in business and anything less than a "completely satisfied" survey is unacceptable to them. When the service rep pulled my car up, he also advised me that my car needed an alignment. I said, "The car needs an alignment?" He said, "Yes, the technician noticed uneven wear and tear on the tires and the car needs an alignment." I asked if that was noted on my paperwork and he said it was. I then told him I just put new tires on the car and had it aligned 2 weeks before bringing it to them for the bearing issue. He told me it did not take long for the wear and tear to become noticeable. I then took the car back to the place where I had the tires and the alignment to have it checked. When I had the work done, they noted both my mileage and the adjustments made to the alignment. They were kind enough to check out the tires and put the car back up on the lift to also check the alignment. I was told that the alignment was exactly the same as the day they did it and there was no evidence of any wear and tear to my tires. My mileage showed that less than 300 miles had been put on the car in between the time they worked on it and the time Wilkinson told me I needed this work done. I called to discuss this issue with the owner, Will Wilkinson and he told me he would check in to it and call me back. When he called me back he told me the service dept rep was just following the notes the technician had made and had assumed that the issue was the tires. He also told me that an alignment is usually needed after this type of work. I said, "Shouldn't this have been verified, that I actually needed this done before you told me this? He shouted, "How can we know when we don't even do alignments, we send that work out?" I told him I thought that was pretty crappy to tell someone they needed work done without knowing for sure and he said he didn't care what I thought. I said, "Well then maybe you would care when I speak with the manager and he yelled at me," I AM THE OWNER." I yelled," I know, I meant the district manager of GM." This is absolutely unacceptable customer service and totally shoddy, borderline deceptive auto repair. I don't go to a doctor who advises me to have surgery without knowing for sure that it is needed and I sure as heck don't have car repairs performed without verification. If this is indicative of how this Sanford car dealership treats their customers, why would anyone want to buy a car there, much less use their service department? More

With impaired judgment, he decided to purchase a new car. Wilkinson Cadillac sold my father a slightly used (450 miles), 2007 Buick Lucerne for $30,000 and allotted $8,000 for his 2005 Ford Crown Victoria - a net cost of $22,000. Roughly two weeks later, when my dad was in the hospital, I attempted to unwind the transaction. My dad had only driven the car once. Doug Wilkinson offered $22,000 for the Lucerne - basically assuring himself a two week profit of at least $6000 (he's paid my father too much for the old Crown Vic and charged too much for the Lucerne - a new one was probably worth $27,000. When I told Doug how disappointed I was, he said "Hey, I'm not going to try to change the world". He had no interest in doing the right thing. Is his behavior illegal? Nope. Did he take advantage of a sick, elderly man? Absolutely. Will he do it again? I have no doubt. He has proven himself to be thoughtless and greedy At this point, Doug Wilkinson has made his decision and I'm not going to waste my time pursuing him for a few thousand dollars. I only seek to warn other consumers of Wilkinson Car's business practices and hope that other potential buyers strongly consider another provider. More
