Wickstrom review Yesterday, my wife Carole and I went to buy a Jeep. We stopped by at Wickstrom in Barrington and as we were looking over the lot, a Salesman came out Yesterday, my wife Carole and I went to buy a Jeep. We stopped by at Wickstrom in Barrington and as we were looking over the lot, a Salesman came out to greet us. Now I sold cars in my youth, and I have bought many cars over my lifetime, new and used. I was expecting the typical Salesman who would pester us and put on the pressure from the beginning. Well, what I got, was Toby Holtz. He was very polite, not at all pushy, and greeted us warmly. I told him out of the gate what my buying parameters were, and he offered to do his best to help. He gladly explained all the models he had available, the different options, then asked us what we really wanted. We told Toby what we were looking for, picked out a model my wife loved, and took it for a drive. After a very successful test drive, we decided on a model. Now we had to run to my Doctors appointment before we could finish, but we gave him our credit info and left. While we were gone, Toby and the staff at Wickstrom did their best to tailor my purchase to the parameters we asked for in the beginning. While we were gone, the deal was hammered out and I gave Toby the ok to prep the Jeep for sale. Now on the way home, my wife and I decided we really wanted another model. Once we got back to Wickstrom, we informed them of our decision. Now mind you, our original choice was ready to go, washed cleaned and full of fuel. After informing Toby of our decison, he didn't bat an eye and said, "I just want you guys to get the Jeep you really want!" Not a wimper or complaint, by him or anyone else. We finally decided on our dream Jeep and brokered a deal that fit our needs. Toby and the staff at Wickstrom were as polite, friendly and non pressuring as could be. Their main concern was that we got the Jeep WE wanted. Well we did, and owe the incredible experience we had to Toby, and the management staff at Wickstrom. I would highly recommend Wickstrom for your next car purchase, and go see Toby Holtz. You'll be glad you did. More

Overall Smooth Experience We ended up going through the Costco auto program which directed us to Wickstrom. They were also the closest Jeep dealership to us which worked out we We ended up going through the Costco auto program which directed us to Wickstrom. They were also the closest Jeep dealership to us which worked out well. They assigned us a salesman, Woody, who met us at the arranged time and was a pleasure to work with. Custom ordering a car is relatively straightforward and Woody made sure everything I wanted was taken care of and included. The worst part of the entire ordeal was just the anticipation and waiting for Chrysler to build my Jeep and for it to arrive at the dealership, but I would probably get antsy about a box of light bulbs coming from Amazon honestly. The only teeny tiny qualm I had with my experience was that I was promised regular updates on the progress of the car build, but only received two: One when the vehicle was issued an estimated ship date and one when it was in transit to the dealership. Both of which I received after I personally contacted the dealership myself to check in. This is honestly really minor and negligible in the grand scheme of things, but Woody did specifically mention that he would be sending these, even while he was on vacation the following week. Obviously not a deal breaker at all, but if you are going to promise something, at least deliver on it. Had he not mentioned anything about updates, this wouldn't have even been an issue. Upon pickup of the Jeep, everything was just how I specified. Woody gave me the option of drilling the front plate into the bumper or leaving it off for me to handle how I choose. (it permanently alters the appearance of the bumper once attached) I am very glad he asked as I'm pretty picky about cosmetic things like that. He even ran around the entire dealership looking for any kind of Jeep-branded keychain at my last minute request, which was very nice of him. All in all, despite the incredibly minor issues with the updates, I feel I had a 5-Star experience with Wickstrom Auto Group and would definitely buy from them again. My father just chipped the paint off my back door trying to take the top off, so I will be back to purchase some touch up paint within the next couple days. I anticipate my next experience with WAG to be just as pleasant as the first and will update my review accordingly after I get my paint. More

I first started shopping around about a month ago & Eric was helpful & understanding from day one, even though I strung him along & was very indecisive. After learning of another dealership closer to home that was a new participant to the Costco program I messaged them, I was not impressed at all with their business practices or lack of professionalism. That being said we drove the extra 50 miles to Wickstrom. I had stressed how important time was to my family & negative past car buying experiences. There was no funny business, or game playing. We got there, test drove what we wanted & negotiated a price. He had us financed & on our way in about an hour! I was very pleased with our purchase & experience & will most definitely be sending business Eric's way! More
