What a horrible experience. After bringing in my vehicle for a simple oil change and tire rotation, I noticed that a cap for the wheel lug nuts was missing. After bringing it After bringing in my vehicle for a simple oil change and tire rotation, I noticed that a cap for the wheel lug nuts was missing. After bringing it to their immediate attention, they said they would get back with me. Never once did they reach out to me. After I called many times and left voice messages, they never responded to me. After driving back to talk about it, they pushed me off again saying that they would get back with me. Finally after over a week, I got a hold of the service manager. Although I have security video evidence that the cover was on my vehicle, the manager only chooses to believe the word of a tech with no evidence from their security cameras to back that up. They were unwilling to replace something as simple as a wheel cover when I have video proof. More
I am so disapointed in this dealership right now that I doubt I will go back. I've bought vehicles here in the past and have always gone to this dealership for my service needs. Most have been recall or doubt I will go back. I've bought vehicles here in the past and have always gone to this dealership for my service needs. Most have been recall or warranty work, and although I've never had great service, they are the closest, so I have dealt with it. A year ago I bought 2 vehicles from Buckalew Chevy, and I brought my Tahoe in to Westide about 6 months ago for them to add a chip that wasn't available when I bought the truck. They told me I still had my free oil change that was going to expire in June. I told them I had just gotten the oil changed a week prior, and with full synthetic oil, I wouldn't need another oil change for about 6 months. There were 3 people there and they told me that it was ok if I came in after the year and they would honor it. The time came last week that I needed another oil change, and when I called to set up an appointment, they told me they didn't take appointments on Saturdays. I wanted to confirm they would honor the free oil change since it had been a year since I bought the truck, and she told me they would. I brought the truck in this past Saturday, and I told them everything I had just written above, and without hesitation, the service guy Shawn (who was one of the 3 guys 3 months earlier) told me he can't honor the service becasue it had expired at the end of June. I didn't expect him to remember a conversation 6 months ago, but I reiterated that we had talked several months ago and also told him that the girl on the phone told me they would honor it a few days earlier. He then told me he had no idea who I talked to and simply wasn't going to honor it today. It's not so much the money, but the blatant dishonesty and lack of personality. Don't tell me you can do something to get me to come back in when you can't. Perhaps it was because it was later in the day and there were only 2 people there, but he was the one making the decisions. Bottom line, like many of you, I can't stand dealing with most dealership servicing departments, especially the big ones. I spent over $125,000 on my two new vehicles from Buckalew Chevy instead of Westside this time because Westside was tacking on over $15,000 in "Delivery Charges" or whatever they called it. Buckalew in Conroe allowed me to build the trucks to how I wanted it, and I paid what Chevy charged without the added dealer prep or delivery fees that Westside was charging. I should have taken the Tahoe to Conroe to have them service my truck, but lesson learned. They were great during the sales process and have been helpful the two times I went back for service. I will be going out there next time. More
Service department customer service and communication is absolute garbage. Do NOT take your vehicle here. They charge ridiculous prices and communication is terrible and non-existent. I took my 2016 Sil absolute garbage. Do NOT take your vehicle here. They charge ridiculous prices and communication is terrible and non-existent. I took my 2016 Silverado in because I was having transmission issues and they said it would be a couple days before they could diagnose it because they were behind on transmission diagnostics. Ok sure and also said it would be $165 fee to figure out the issue but that would be waived if I had the work performed there. It took them over a week and a half to finally look at my truck and it was excuse after excuse if I could ever get ahold of someone. It was like pulling teeth trying to get any information out of them. I would call and if they did answer, it would be a different service person than who I was dealing with and they would make a note for my service person to call you back because only your service person can talk to you. They never did. I called the main line and same thing, they rang the service department and they never answered and they said they would make a note for them to call me back, never did. I finally heard back and they said I needed a new transmission and quoted me around $7200 for the parts and labor. That seemed a little high to me and it was. I called the next closest five Chevrolet dealers and they all quoted me within a hundred or two hundred dollars of each other except for Westside. I ended up taking it to who quoted the cheapest price but also ended up being the next closest from home, Mac Haik Chevrolet. They quoted me around $6300 with tax to do the same transmission replacement and it ended up costing that. Upon picking up my truck from Westside, I asked if I could get any sort of a discount for them taking so long and the service advisor I had been dealing with, Isaias, said it was out of his hands and that someone else would have to approve. He texted someone to come and never got a response back… imagine that. He then deferred to some guy that had been standing there the whole time that probably didn’t even have the authority and he said no, that they can’t do anything and that a week and a half is industry turn around times now. I paid the full $165 fee for them to drop the pan on the transmission to see that there were metal shavings and that I needed a new transmission. It took them almost two weeks just to pull the pan to tell me that. I took my truck down the road to Juan at Mac Haik that already had a transmission on the shelf for me where they were able to install it in less than 24 hours time. I picked up my truck from Westside around noon on a Monday and took it directly to Mac Haik. Juan kept me updated the whole process and answered any questions I had immediately. I dropped it off with them around 12:30pm Monday and at 11am the next day, he called and let me know that my truck was already done and ready for pickup. He called me at 4pm Monday confirming that the guys already got into the transmission and that I did need a new one. He asked for authorization to proceed with the transmission replacement and he said they should have it done the next day which they did. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache, time, and money and stay away from Westside Chevrolet. I will never take any vehicle for service here again let alone ever buy from them. More
Terrible people in the service drive and kept refusing to replace my Takata Airbag. Will never buy another vehicle there! And they called to asked how my service was while laughing after they refused to re replace my Takata Airbag. Will never buy another vehicle there! The all time worse experience I have ever had with car service no communication at all for over a week and I was even charged an extra 160 dollars on top of my service all because I asked them to see how service no communication at all for over a week and I was even charged an extra 160 dollars on top of my service all because I asked them to see how much the brakes would cost to change out supposedly it was a labor charge never coming back here again for service and I advise anyone who wants service to go somewhere else where they will be valued as a paying customer More

Service department has quietly quit. No communication, no customer service. They expect you to leave your car and wait as long as it takes. My experiences.... -Have had first oil cha No communication, no customer service. They expect you to leave your car and wait as long as it takes. My experiences.... -Have had first oil change done on new car, they kept the car 3 days. Drove car home and check engine light comes on. -Brought in new car with check engine light, took 2 days to diagnose and get car back. Dealership orders a part. -Supply chain issues aside, the dealership never calls to say the part is in (2 months pass). -Bring car in and am told we have your number, will call. After getting the run around for a few days, learn that they ordered the wrong part and have had to place another order. They want me to leave the car since the tech has disassembled it and the job will go faster. The car has been there for 2 weeks, there is no ETA on the part so I ask for my car back. They tell me that if they put it back together, I will be charged for labor when the part comes in because GM only pays for warranty service once. Again, dealer ordered wrong part. You would be hard pressed to find a new car dealership's service department that cares less than these do. Find somewhere else to go. More
I purchased a 2020 Kia Niro EV EX Premium with 2000 miles from this dealership. I must admit that the dealership (mechanic) had not completed the basic 21/26 point inspection prior to the sale of the car. from this dealership. I must admit that the dealership (mechanic) had not completed the basic 21/26 point inspection prior to the sale of the car. I was having some problems with the car due to a loud whirring/grinding noise. Keep in mind that an all electric car has a limited transmission. It has about 200+ fewer parts than a gas combusiton engine. I called the mechanics and they told me they don't work on electric cars but referred me to Demontrond Kia. Westside Chevrolet is a dual dealer with Chev and Kias. I became very discouraged that a car with only 2000 miles was having so much trouble. I contacted Kia USA Corporate office in Irvine CA. They were extraordinary. I was frustrated, of course. BUT, I'VE GOT TO LET EVERYONE KNOW ABOUT THE INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH THIS DEALERSHIP AFTERWARDS. The General Manager is Mr Ortiz. He went out of his way to make everything good. He went "above and beyond" to make sure the car was working perfectly. He kept the car for almost a month because parts had to be brought in from all over including Korea. He was determined to make up for the problems caused by his mechanics. HE DID. After having my car for almost a month (I was in a loaner car) they found the issue. He has even gone further. He wants the car to be like "new". He is having the car polished like it's brand new. Who does this now adays. I promise this is my dealership for the future. I actually love my all electric Kia. And, now, I'm a customer for life of Westside Chevrolet/Kia thanks to the General Manager, Mr Ortiz. He even gave me his personal phone number for texting to keep me up to date on what was happening and what problems they had found. I could not be more impressed. This is the best service I have had in a long time. He easily could have just said this was a problem from his mechanic...but, no, he took ownership for the problem. I can't tell you how happy I am to have him as the General Manager. He is the reason that i am going to return for maintenance care and for the purchase of my next "all electric" car. I'm very impressed. Thank you, Mr Ortiz. Mark Markgraf More
