I never had a good impression on car dealers - high prices, they try to force you into making a purchase etc. These were the thoughts racing through my mind as I entered Westgate Jeep. I also reminded myself that they had an Acura model i was looking out for and that was the reason i was visiting them. My intention was to just check the model they have along with all the other models in the market that are available and then make a decision later on. As I walked into the reception, I bumped into Nabil Bahai, a young and polite sales representative. I told him what i was looking out for and he provided me the details of the cars and offered to take me to the cars to have a visual look at them. Nabil proved invaluable in getting all my questions answered about the cars they had. I narrowed down 3 cars from their lot and I went on test drive on them. I still couldn't make up my mind because they had slight plusses and minuses and Nabil came to the rescue again. He offered advise on things that can be fixed on the cars even after I bought them so that helped me prioritize cars. Also when i narrowed it down to two cars, I had to shuffle test driving both cars repeatedly so as to make up my mind. I was a little nervous if Nabil would allow that but from my standpoint i am paying a hefty amount to buy something and I have to be totally convinced. To my surprise Nabil didn't mind that at all and he totally understood the dilemma I was going through. He just patiently asked me what i thought about it and handed me the keys to the car I wanted to test drive. After factoring in what fixes are fixable and what works best, i finally selected the car. It was then that I realized that Nabil never tried to make a sale the whole time there. All he did was to choose the side of the customer. He completely understands the fact that the customer would want to study the car extensively before buying it. Instead of pushing the customer to buy something, he answered all the customer's questions and made the customer comfortable in making a decision. The sale resulted automatically. This strategy was simply brilliant - something that even people graduating from the best business school miss. I made a point of telling this to my friends. The car selection was the toughest part especially since all the car's were well maintained. After buying the car, the dealer was very efficient in fixing up everything that we agreed on. At this stage too, Nabil came to the rescue in coordinating things and his performance was very impressive!! I also double checked if their cars were in fact expensive and they were in synch with the prices outside. They just were a tiny bit expensive, but i felt that for the kind of service they provided it was worth paying for. I have two complaints with this dealer - firstly they are severely understaffed in the busiest times of the day. It's not that pleasant on a hot summer day. Secondly, this dealer has raised my expectations from dealers and sales representatives to an enormous degree and now I am doubting if anyone else can match it. So if you want to buy a car, just drive up to this dealer and you know who to talk to!!! More
Me and my husband originally went into the dealership to purchase a used mini-van due to my medical condition. After working with Nabil we ended up with a new 2011 vehicle. I recently purchased a 2010 Honda Insight from the dealership. The sales people were very friendly, did not push for a sale. Nabil Bahai = Great Customer Service period. We had to turn in our jeep liberty since the lease was at an end. Nabil took time to make us aware of used inventory and setting up many test drives. This dealership has a great overall website with tons of pics of their used inventory. I had a good idea of the Jeep I was interested in before I even walked in the door. The pics were very acurate. He also worked with me to get the trade-in value I wanted, downpayment, monthly payment, and interest rates. Would highly reccomend this dealership to anyone :) More
I was in at Westgate to get my trucks oil changed and to check about a rattle I heard in the front end. My service writer was Paul Roland and technician was Clayton. It was all women sitting in waiting room that day and we were discussing how car dealerships and repair shops takes advantage of women. Well, Mr. Roland called me back and introducted me to Clayton and he put my car up and found where the rattle was coming from. He also thought that it could be from the ball joints but he said he wouldn't do anything to them unless it kept rattling after fixing my underpin (I guess that is what it is called.) He could have replaced all my ball joints and bearing but instead he changed my oil and put a couple of Christmas tree bolts in the panel where they had fallen out. He was just very honest with me and I do appreciate that. I would recommend Westgate Jeep for purchasing a car and also repairs. I actually negotiated free oil changes when I purchased my truck and when they run out I will continue to have my oil changed there. I own a Dodge Dakota and love it. I has been a great truck for me. I actually purchased it to pull my camper but I drive it every day of the week. Debbie More
My wife and I have been looking for a new Chrysler Town and Country for 4 months. We live in Scranton PA and our local dealers simply did not have the van we wanted. We also got the runaround from more than a few dealers near us and as far away as Philly. I was searching the net and found Westgate in Raleigh. They had the exact van at an incredible low price. It was a 2010 and believe me, we got a great deal. However, the price is only part of the story. From my first call, the manager (Steve) was up front and gave me a total price... to the penny. I put down a deposit to hold the van and then told Steve my wife and I were going to make an adventure out of this situation and fly down to get our new town and country. Steve immediatly said, "Great, just let us know when you're coming and we'll come get you at the airport." Wow! I never expected that. From that point on, it was by far the most pleasurable buying experience we've ever had. One final note... Our daughter will be going to college in Raleigh next fall. She has a Dodge Caliber and it's nice to know she'll have a place to take her car for service. A place where people will care about her and her car. Thanks Westgate! Garret P. More
