My Nightmare in Westchester Toyota! Start with the "Bait My Nightmare in Westchester Toyota! Start with the "Bait & Switch". The car that they had for sale "Sold" in 15 minutes. This is a "Toyota Certified My Nightmare in Westchester Toyota! Start with the "Bait & Switch". The car that they had for sale "Sold" in 15 minutes. This is a "Toyota Certified used car". Toyota Camry 2005. In my opinion the only thing certified is that "it is a Car". Next is the "Dealer prep charge" of $500.00. You are paying for the 160 point inspection that they supposedly did. This is on top of the charge built into the cars price. They are double charging you. Next is the Battery that has to be replaced the day after you bring the car home because it is dead. Next are the four badly scratched hub caps that they replaced the new ones with. I had to buy new ones. Move on to the second key that was for another car. They refused to provide me with a signed copy of the supposed "160 point check". They refused to tell me or provide me with paperwork on what the "Certified Used car" covered(The paperwork is in the mail!). The dealership is far away and I am still waiting for my calls to be returned or he has left for the day. I just prey that I receive the Title in the mail. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy here. I just wish that I had read these reviews or I would not have gone here! More
I have had my 2008 Rav4 serviced at WT since new. I was a loyal customer until they started playing games at the 15k service. Things has gotten progressively more expensive in earlier services, but I thou a loyal customer until they started playing games at the 15k service. Things has gotten progressively more expensive in earlier services, but I thought it would get cheaper again after a fairly hefty 10k service. But I discovered with the 15k that there were lots of "add ons" that I didn't request (but of course got paid for) and wouldn't have known about unless I'd asked for an itemized bill. The bills they present you with are utterly indecipherable, unless you spend about an hour walking through it with one of their reps (Willie), which I did. They break down the costs in such a strange and fragmented manner that it's impossible to tell what's what. When you do get to the bottom of things, It turns out there are additional things like "dry gas" treatments that they don't tell you about but lump in anyway to a regular service. When I asked to see the bottle, not trusting that they'd done it, Willie went to the "back" to get it (another big problem - you can never see the service bays). Presto!, there was a bottle of some additive that had been "put in my gas tank." OK, so I'll take that at face value, but I wanted to know why they charged me $8 for something that had a price label of $2.94 on the bottle. Willie was unable to explain that. They also charged me nearly $5 for additional windscreen wiper fluid, and I'd *just* filled that up the day before! He later claimed he took these items off the bill when I got a revised version (half an hour later), but he didn't. He flat out lied. I didn't argue about these things because they were small potatoes to the wheel alignment problem. That was a beauty. Early in the morning, Willie claimed that the car (at 15,000 miles) needed alignment. I said "sure but I want to see the alignment report first". They didn't produce this, and then the alignment was done without running a computer report to show me the alignment stats for either before or after the procedure. The car was just brought around and $150 was added to the bill. I asked them to put it back on the rack and run a report, but with no "before" report the "after" was somewhat meaningless. Getting it back on the rack took about another hour. All in all I waited from 7;30am until nearly noon. The "gourmet coffee" and Dunkin' Donuts weren't quite sufficient to make up for my wasted morning. Total service bill: nearly $700 for a 15,000 service. Avoid these losers at all cost. THEY WILL HOSE YOU! They claimed they'd follow up with a phone call to discuss my concerns within the week. That call never came. More

The salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable about the vehicle, and the general sales manager was awesome. I told him I was truly interested in purchasing the vehicle, but I was in a rush to get my children. He expedited the process in addition to giving me a great deal. The general sales manager, the manager, the finance manager and the sales manager were all awesome. They made sure I was very comfortable while I waited, by offering me water, coffee, tea or a snack. I would recommend anyone who is going to purchase a Toyota, purchase it from Westchester Toyota. I was completely satisfied More
I dont know how people could complai about this dealer I have been nuying cars and using there service department for 11 years and I always refer people there and they always get great service and an unbeat have been nuying cars and using there service department for 11 years and I always refer people there and they always get great service and an unbeatable price.(in the last 11 years I referred over 20 customers) I guess the only people that rate dealers complain. this dealer goes above and beyond to make people happy. I just felt I had to write this when I saw the complaints. also whoever I run into that does business with them are happy Thank God there is still a dealer that treats you like family More
I went in to purchase a car. I had a preapproval and a specific budget that I had to stick to. I inquired about a couple of cars that I had seen online and the prices I was given were at least $1000 to $ specific budget that I had to stick to. I inquired about a couple of cars that I had seen online and the prices I was given were at least $1000 to $2000 higher and compared to other Toyota dealerships that I visited, Westchester Toyota's prices were much higher both new and used. I asked to see the pre-owned inventory and none of the cars on that list matched the list that I viewed online that very same day. I was shown a preowned Corolla and was allowed to drive it around the parking lot. That is ridiculous. I have never been to a dealership where plates were not put on a car for a customer to actually drive the car and get the feel of it. Every other dealer offered for me to test drive a vehicle that I was interested in. I wouldn't recommend Westchester Toyota to anyone. Their tv ad is absolutely false. I felt very pressured to purchase a vehicle, even though I couldn't afford what was shown to me. More

I bought my Corolla from Westchester Toyota and, although the salesperson I dealt with was rather arrogant, I figured I could trust their Service Dept. During the winter storms in December I slid into a curb and bent my FRONT RIGHT wheel. Before heading to Westchester Toyota to have my vehicle checked out, however, I headed to Mavis to have the damaged FRONT RIGHT wheel switched with the BACK RIGHT wheel. (This was simply to make the wobble in the steering less pronounced.) I then dropped off my vehicle and simply asked that they take a look at the BACK RIGHT wheel. I then get a call from Willie Vesey telling me that I should "get my insurance involved" because I'm going to need a new rear suspension that will cost me upwards of a couple grand. When I informed him that there was no way I needed a new rear suspension because the wheel had in fact been damaged when it was in the front (and Mavis had switched it to the back for me) he literally hung up the phone on me. His manager called me a couple hours later to inform me there was a "miscommunication with the parts guys." Furious, I got my car back and had the wheel fixed at Mavis for $120. I then contacted Toyota corporate and Matt Dreier, the Service Director. Toyota Corporate proved somewhat helpful as they took my case but Matt Dreier, clearly displaying that the disaster that is Westchester Toyota starts with him, proved arrogant and unhelpful. It's clear that they saw a younger buyer (I am a 26 year old male) and figured they would take me for a ride. I have heard similar disaster stories from others who have bought and/or had their car serviced at Westchester Toyota. I am not the only one, stay away! More
The sales person Damion Foster was the most arrogant person to deal with. Also, in spite of asking for a different sales person, they put me to Damion again. He made me sit for 2+ hours (till after 9:30 person to deal with. Also, in spite of asking for a different sales person, they put me to Damion again. He made me sit for 2+ hours (till after 9:30pm) before delivery only to say that he cannot deliver the car. Then he tried to play me against my wife to justify his position. He acted as if he was doing us a favor by holding our deposit. Go figure! He never offered any options and instead like a sleezy sales person tried to sell the extended warranty. What a sleezball!!! He also gave incorrect keys to the new car. We had to go again the next day to change it. We complained to the manager but I am sure nothing came out of it. I was never rude in this entire time and maybe that's why he thought he could get away with it. More
Oh gosh - the awfulness of this dealership almost pains me to express. My mother and I went to this dealership to get a new car for me. I just graduated college, and my credit is, shall we say, "less tha me to express. My mother and I went to this dealership to get a new car for me. I just graduated college, and my credit is, shall we say, "less than stellar." We were very upfront with the salesman regarding this fact, and he told me that with my credit score I could not qualify for a lease. He was going to try to hook me up with a 2009 Corolla. He refused to talk price with us each time he brought it up. He said that we would need to wait for my loan app to be approved. We made an appointment to come in on Wednesday at 2pm, which meant my mother and I needed to take a half day from each of our jobs. They kept us waiting for an hour. The salesman told me to come out to the car and I told him I would rather not see it until we talked price. He came back 10 minutes later to say that it's policy to see the car before price so we know everything was as promised. Fine. I do this. We go upstairs. The price of the car was listed as $19,485. I planned to put $2,000 down, which means $17,485 financed. The sales manager then tells me that because of my credit score, my monthly payment would be $622 a month on a 60 month finance. "So what you're telling me is this - I have to pay $37,800 for a $19,485 car?" to which he responds "yes." He then tells me that I would never qualify for a decent payment on any new car. He then tries to sell me a banged up 2005 Corolla for a mere - get this - $400 a month. I look at the inside of the car to see that the fabric had holes in the seats. With all this nonsense to boot, they had asked me to put a partial down payment on the car of $700, AND arrange the insurance on Sunday when I first went there. It took the finance guy a half hour to refund my deposit, and then I had to spend another half hour on the phone with Geico to get my money back and cancel the new policy. These people are insane, unscrupulous and a WASTE OF TIME. Please, do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere. More
We went to this dealer last week, after seeing a good offer on the internet and confirming twice with the sales person on phone about the availability before driving a long way from CT only to discover t offer on the internet and confirming twice with the sales person on phone about the availability before driving a long way from CT only to discover that it was a bait and switch tactic!! We had a good offer from Toyota dealers at Mamoroneck from who my sister had recently bought a Toyota Sienna and had a very good experience. We went to Westchester Toyota with all those expectations only to be disappointed by the lack of professionalism and integrity of the salesperson. We were looking to buy a certified Camry, and though they told us that the ones which we talked on the phone was already sold(I do not know how they could do it in a matter of less than 2 hours before we reached there!), we showed willingness to see the car which they said was available which was way above the market standard price for that model. And to our surprise, in the end, when questioned about the warranty, they said it is not a certified car!!!We got a long session about the advantage of a certified car by the salesperson, when we walked in and also we had stated clearly that we are looking for a certified car. After wasting about 2 hours with the dealers, we walked off deciding never to revisit them or to recommend any friends to this place. Please be watchful about their bait and switch tactic, before you rush in to get a good deal, that they advertise in internet or promise you over phone only to attract customers and which will never be available once you reach there!!
