I dont know how people could complai about this dealer I have been nuying cars and using there service department for 11 years and I always refer people there and they always get great service and an unbeat have been nuying cars and using there service department for 11 years and I always refer people there and they always get great service and an unbeatable price.(in the last 11 years I referred over 20 customers) I guess the only people that rate dealers complain. this dealer goes above and beyond to make people happy. I just felt I had to write this when I saw the complaints. also whoever I run into that does business with them are happy Thank God there is still a dealer that treats you like family More
I went in to purchase a car. I had a preapproval and a specific budget that I had to stick to. I inquired about a couple of cars that I had seen online and the prices I was given were at least $1000 to $ specific budget that I had to stick to. I inquired about a couple of cars that I had seen online and the prices I was given were at least $1000 to $2000 higher and compared to other Toyota dealerships that I visited, Westchester Toyota's prices were much higher both new and used. I asked to see the pre-owned inventory and none of the cars on that list matched the list that I viewed online that very same day. I was shown a preowned Corolla and was allowed to drive it around the parking lot. That is ridiculous. I have never been to a dealership where plates were not put on a car for a customer to actually drive the car and get the feel of it. Every other dealer offered for me to test drive a vehicle that I was interested in. I wouldn't recommend Westchester Toyota to anyone. Their tv ad is absolutely false. I felt very pressured to purchase a vehicle, even though I couldn't afford what was shown to me. More

I bought my Corolla from Westchester Toyota and, although the salesperson I dealt with was rather arrogant, I figured I could trust their Service Dept. During the winter storms in December I slid into a curb and bent my FRONT RIGHT wheel. Before heading to Westchester Toyota to have my vehicle checked out, however, I headed to Mavis to have the damaged FRONT RIGHT wheel switched with the BACK RIGHT wheel. (This was simply to make the wobble in the steering less pronounced.) I then dropped off my vehicle and simply asked that they take a look at the BACK RIGHT wheel. I then get a call from Willie Vesey telling me that I should "get my insurance involved" because I'm going to need a new rear suspension that will cost me upwards of a couple grand. When I informed him that there was no way I needed a new rear suspension because the wheel had in fact been damaged when it was in the front (and Mavis had switched it to the back for me) he literally hung up the phone on me. His manager called me a couple hours later to inform me there was a "miscommunication with the parts guys." Furious, I got my car back and had the wheel fixed at Mavis for $120. I then contacted Toyota corporate and Matt Dreier, the Service Director. Toyota Corporate proved somewhat helpful as they took my case but Matt Dreier, clearly displaying that the disaster that is Westchester Toyota starts with him, proved arrogant and unhelpful. It's clear that they saw a younger buyer (I am a 26 year old male) and figured they would take me for a ride. I have heard similar disaster stories from others who have bought and/or had their car serviced at Westchester Toyota. I am not the only one, stay away! More
The sales person Damion Foster was the most arrogant person to deal with. Also, in spite of asking for a different sales person, they put me to Damion again. He made me sit for 2+ hours (till after 9:30 person to deal with. Also, in spite of asking for a different sales person, they put me to Damion again. He made me sit for 2+ hours (till after 9:30pm) before delivery only to say that he cannot deliver the car. Then he tried to play me against my wife to justify his position. He acted as if he was doing us a favor by holding our deposit. Go figure! He never offered any options and instead like a sleezy sales person tried to sell the extended warranty. What a sleezball!!! He also gave incorrect keys to the new car. We had to go again the next day to change it. We complained to the manager but I am sure nothing came out of it. I was never rude in this entire time and maybe that's why he thought he could get away with it. More
Oh gosh - the awfulness of this dealership almost pains me to express. My mother and I went to this dealership to get a new car for me. I just graduated college, and my credit is, shall we say, "less tha me to express. My mother and I went to this dealership to get a new car for me. I just graduated college, and my credit is, shall we say, "less than stellar." We were very upfront with the salesman regarding this fact, and he told me that with my credit score I could not qualify for a lease. He was going to try to hook me up with a 2009 Corolla. He refused to talk price with us each time he brought it up. He said that we would need to wait for my loan app to be approved. We made an appointment to come in on Wednesday at 2pm, which meant my mother and I needed to take a half day from each of our jobs. They kept us waiting for an hour. The salesman told me to come out to the car and I told him I would rather not see it until we talked price. He came back 10 minutes later to say that it's policy to see the car before price so we know everything was as promised. Fine. I do this. We go upstairs. The price of the car was listed as $19,485. I planned to put $2,000 down, which means $17,485 financed. The sales manager then tells me that because of my credit score, my monthly payment would be $622 a month on a 60 month finance. "So what you're telling me is this - I have to pay $37,800 for a $19,485 car?" to which he responds "yes." He then tells me that I would never qualify for a decent payment on any new car. He then tries to sell me a banged up 2005 Corolla for a mere - get this - $400 a month. I look at the inside of the car to see that the fabric had holes in the seats. With all this nonsense to boot, they had asked me to put a partial down payment on the car of $700, AND arrange the insurance on Sunday when I first went there. It took the finance guy a half hour to refund my deposit, and then I had to spend another half hour on the phone with Geico to get my money back and cancel the new policy. These people are insane, unscrupulous and a WASTE OF TIME. Please, do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere. More
We went to this dealer last week, after seeing a good offer on the internet and confirming twice with the sales person on phone about the availability before driving a long way from CT only to discover t offer on the internet and confirming twice with the sales person on phone about the availability before driving a long way from CT only to discover that it was a bait and switch tactic!! We had a good offer from Toyota dealers at Mamoroneck from who my sister had recently bought a Toyota Sienna and had a very good experience. We went to Westchester Toyota with all those expectations only to be disappointed by the lack of professionalism and integrity of the salesperson. We were looking to buy a certified Camry, and though they told us that the ones which we talked on the phone was already sold(I do not know how they could do it in a matter of less than 2 hours before we reached there!), we showed willingness to see the car which they said was available which was way above the market standard price for that model. And to our surprise, in the end, when questioned about the warranty, they said it is not a certified car!!!We got a long session about the advantage of a certified car by the salesperson, when we walked in and also we had stated clearly that we are looking for a certified car. After wasting about 2 hours with the dealers, we walked off deciding never to revisit them or to recommend any friends to this place. Please be watchful about their bait and switch tactic, before you rush in to get a good deal, that they advertise in internet or promise you over phone only to attract customers and which will never be available once you reach there!! concerning the last part of my review below: I have now written to the Service director, to give him a chance to respond, and I think I should have awaited his response to post my comments on the service. written to the Service director, to give him a chance to respond, and I think I should have awaited his response to post my comments on the service. Tried the car, was ok, except from terribly dirty inside, and worne out front tires. Was explained that the car of course would be perfectly cleaned up. Salespeson wanted to discuss price. I had already shown him the ad of 5995, so I asked him what he would suggest. He wanted $9000 ... I showed him the ad again, and he suggested a bargain: $8000. My responce: Ok, so the ad is only cheating? He had to speak with his boss. Came back: Internet price is OK, but need extra $500 to "make the car ready". I accepted that, but said that I expected change of the worn-out tires in front included. After some back and forth, this was accepted. Made a deposit and signed an inteional contract. Was called later same day: They needed $200 more for the tires. I had to discuss back and forth again: Didn't we make a deal? Came back two days later to pay cash and pick up the ready-made car. Tires ok, but car still extremely dirty and full of rubbish inside. Accepted to get a prepaid cleaing, but was of course not done properly. Had to use three hours to clean it afterwards myself. Was stupid enough to accept a deal for prepaid service at their service-department. That resulted in a much worse story, they accidently damaged a hose for the powe steering; Heard a new, strange noise the first time I used it after picking it up from service. A tiny noise at first, that went worse and worse. Took it back, the system was consequentally damaged for $1700. They told me in the phone that I must have had an accident with the car, I said I didn't. I cam down to discuss it, spoke with another representative, who changed the explanation: No hose was loose, it was only "normal wear" that had made the hose leaking. They cheated me, and the worst thing: I had to have the car ready in two days, beause of going on holiday, and couldn't go anywhere else. Don't use Westchester Toyota, I would never use them again. I have purchased from Toyota before and that is why I brought my son there to see about a Sienna. Long story short Anson who in the beginning was friendly, took a thousand dollar check and said they had brought my son there to see about a Sienna. Long story short Anson who in the beginning was friendly, took a thousand dollar check and said they had deposited it, when they had not. He orignally had stated that they would try match Honda's deal for a trade-in ( seven thousand) . Not only didn't they match it, they wnated to give only 3 thousand . They said car had been in accident, and it was proven that it was not, so they came up to 4,500. My son (Matthew Fedor)asked them if they would pay the note on the car 6,000, he would stay w. Toyota. Anson said cannot do. Matt then told them he could not in good faith ,make the deal until he checked with Honda for a better deal. This was 9/24/07 On Monday. Anson said and I quote " you will not get a better deal". Well we did get a better deal. Although we really wanted to stay w/Toyota, the deal was so mich better. Now as of 7:30pm 9/24/07 my check ( Florence Lawless was not cashed. Matt goes back 9/25/07 1:pm (thats when Anson) started work, and he tell Matt they deposited the check. Matt calls me I get on the phone w/ Anson and I tell him the check is not deposited. He tells me to hold on , and comes back and says they have a courier who has picked up the check. I told him they can get in touch w/ the couier, and he says they can't. Asked him why they deposited check and he really could not answer. Anyway I had to spend 30.00 to put a stop payment. As of 1:30PM 9/25/07 CHECK WAS NOT CASHED . I will never step foot in that dealership again. Are they that hard-up that they would take someone's check when a deal has not been finalixed. My husbanD with be buying a new car soon It would have been a Avalon, but now not so sure. If we do it will not be from WESTCHESTER TOYota!!!.I have sent numerous people to Toyota . You can rest assure I will tell everyone what happened . I will be writing letters to the CEO IF YOUR COMPANY. I would also like my 30.00 refunded because of this nonsense. I am soooo disappointed IN Anson More
My mother, who is almost 90, went into Westchester toyota dealership thinking she would be helped by the dealer of her car a Camery. She had a flat and seems that she is being sold a $400 snow job. toyota dealership thinking she would be helped by the dealer of her car a Camery.
