Then once it was built and shipped, it was goingf to take extra time for it to get to them from the depot in NJ. So the employees of Westbury went to NJ and picked up the vehicle and got it to me in the nick of time as i had to return my last leased vehicle. The customer service is 2nd to none there and i would never want to buy a car anywhere else, period. More

I had not realized that car buying could be a pleasant experience, but that was certainly the case. Chris Cox, Sales Associate, was very knowledgeable, courteous and attentive to our needs. His love for the product was quite evident and he represents this family owned dealership in a most positive manner. We will certainly return to this dealership because of the extraordinary professional service that we received from Chris and the entire team! More
We generally don't like car salespeople but we liked working with Mr. Goldberg and John Cavolo (not sure of the spelling, sorry). Our car shopping experience started in Hempstead, where there are ma working with Mr. Goldberg and John Cavolo (not sure of the spelling, sorry). Our car shopping experience started in Hempstead, where there are many differnt car dealerships. I wanted the Honda or Toyota but the prices were a bit high. The price that the Dodge dealer gave us in Hempstead was pretty good but told us we had to buy right away. I don't like the pressure so we walked away and continued shopping. My husband visited many dealers. We checked Consumer Reports and looked for used vans (Japanese- all expensive-even used prices!). So our search was narrowed down to the Chrysler mini van. We were very fortunate to be able to take advantage of the rebate (which ended today-9/30/11). My husband found the lowest price with John Cavolo and liked dealing with him, too- a big plus. He wasn't available when we were ready to sign the contract so Michael was assigned to us. He was very courteous and took us for a test drive and explained everything fully. We were comfortable with him and he really knew his stuff! Thanks, Michael! Thanks to these two gentlemen, we had a wonderful car buying experience and would definitely recommend them! More
I purchased my Jeep Liberty from Chris Cox. I came in undecided between a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Jeep Liberty. He was pleasant throughout the whole experience. He was very personable and made the undecided between a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Jeep Liberty. He was pleasant throughout the whole experience. He was very personable and made the experience comfortable. He helped me when I needed to know what I needed in the car and made sure that I was happy through the whole process. He was knowledgeable of all the vehicles that I asked about. He took me on testdrives on both cars and was very patient while I made my final decision. He helped me decide that the Liberty would be the best choice for me and he was right. My time at Westbury from start to finish was great. The day I picked up my car he went through every option I got and made sure before I left I knew everything I needed to enjoy my car. I have been in many car dealerships and never had a good experience like I did with this one. Chris is a smart salesperson and westbury is lucky to have him there. I know now I wont buy and car from anyone else or anywhere else. More
I recently decided to trade my challenger in for a new ram 1500. The ram is just more practical especially with snow coming in the near future. I have had many bad experiences with other Long Island Dodge ram 1500. The ram is just more practical especially with snow coming in the near future. I have had many bad experiences with other Long Island Dodge dealers and buying a new car is usually an all day stressful event. Westbury Jeep was completley different. Phil took care of me right away. I explained my situation, presented the ad from westburydeals.com & a corresponding stock number fully expecting to get the old "that just sold" routine. Phil came back and told me it was available at the advertised price. I was amazed. Phil took the time out to take myself and my whole family over to the lot to look at the truck. There was no pressure, no slight of hand, no bs. Phil even came in on his day off to deliver the truck. The atmosphere at WBJ was laid back, and they made the whole buying process fun. Phil even baked some cookies for us while we waited to do financing. I have never had a salesman do that ever. I then met with Bobby Baweja and we went over monthly payment, add-ons etc. He was a true professional, completely honest, and got me a great intrest rate on the loan. My biggest disappointment was the price offered on my trade as I felt it was on the low end. All in all it was a great experience, and I would reccomend WBJ. More
I visited a couple of Jeep dealerships around the Nassau/Suffolk area and once deciding on what type of vehicle I was going to purchase (a Liberty), I had no second thoughts about buying at Westbury Nassau/Suffolk area and once deciding on what type of vehicle I was going to purchase (a Liberty), I had no second thoughts about buying at Westbury Jeep. My salesman, Tom, was very knowledgeable and friendly and the rest of the staff from the general manager down, made me feel at ease. Buying a car is usually an experience, however, with Tom, it was very simple and quick. I would definitely recommend Tom and Westbury Jeep if you are in the market. More
The salesmen understood what I was looking for and went above and beyond to get me the best price for what u was looking for in a vehicle. Totally hassle free. I went to Westbury Friday after having heavily researched their pre-owned inventory, their ratings on this website, and communicating with Debbie from the Internet sales department. I am in the process of their pre-owned inventory, their ratings on this website, and communicating with Debbie from the Internet sales department. I am in the process of purchasing a mountain home, and intended to get rid of my mint condition 1 year old BMW to get a used Grand Cherokee. The GC was more practical, and would free up some $ to throw toward the extra expenses of maintaining/furnishing a mountain house. As with most car buyers, my particular situation came down to numbers and making them work. Given their large selection of vehicles, I knew Westbury had a vehicle for me, but needed to know if they'd give me a fair price on my trade-in. Accordingly, I began emailing with a woman named Debbie on the Internet sales team. I provided her with the details about my vehicle, and she quoted me a trade in appraisal of "$30-33k". Obviously the dealership would need to see the car in person, and I arrived with the expectation that when it came to talking numbers, they'd probably come in on the low-side. I made it very clear with Debbie that I was only coming in because the numbers would work for me, and that I was a serious buyer not looking for any games. Debbie acknowledged and we set up time for me to come in Friday at 1:30. I took off of work and arrived at noon, expecting tons of traffic from Brooklyn to Long Island (apparently no NYers were trying to go to Long Island with the impending Hurricane Irene!) but pleased that the trip of 26 miles only took an hour. Upon arrival, I was introduced to a brand new salesman, I believe his name was Gerald, Jamal, but the name is escaping me and he did not have a business card. He was a nice guy overall, though speed was not his forte. He immediately wanted to start by looking at my trade in, took the key, and the process of waiting began. I mentioned the stock numbers of the vehicle I was interested in, and the salesman enlisted the help of a fellow salesman to locate the lot it was on. We hopped in a car, drove to the lot, and the vehicle wasn't there. We went to a different lot, I combed through and found the vehicle. The salesmen left me there, in the middle of nowhere, trying to get keys for the car I wanted to look at - no phone number to call him at, just drove off. After almost 20 minutes, he came back. On the plus-side, I was able to thoroughly look over the vehicle and discovered it had a flat tire. I at least figured I should sit in it after all of the time spent waiting, and discovered the interior roof was filthy, there were stains on the center console and doors... it's a risk when looking at used vehicles, I understand, so I decided not to do anything further with this vehicle and go back to the dealership. There was another vehicle I remembered liking, one sitting right on their lot. It had one car parked in front of it, and once again the salesman left me outside, standing there, for almost 30 minutes while they tried to "figure out" the stock number of the vehicle blocking it in. He would disappear, come back to the car, and disappear again without saying much or explaining what was happening. I actually had to go back inside and asked the receptionist to page him... needless to say I had been with him for over 2 hours and 15 minutes before I was finally able to drive a car. Overall I was pleased with the vehicle, the test drive went well and I was ready to discuss numbers. I had a Capital One auto loan check set up, a checkbook to throw additional money down, and title etc on my old vehicle - ready to go. Then things started going downhill. The salesmen informed me that my trade in was actually being valued at $26,800, despite the fact that he had sat in it earlier, admitting "I'm not supposed to tell you this, but this car is MINT." I had recently had it serviced and BMW was listing my exact car, preowned on their lot, for $37,800. I would expect a consumer to be able to purchase it for around $35-35.5, so I figured this dealership would still be able to purchase it for around $32k and still make a nice profit. Anyway, I'm getting off topic. I became frustrated by this bait-and-switch technique and wanted to speak directly with the sales manager. Steve reluctantly came over and basically explained that his price was factoring in taxes, so using Brooklyn taxes, he was actually giving me a price of $29,178. That logic obviously has its flaws, but even when when I pointed out that this was STILL $800 less than the lowest end of the quote I received, he offered another $800 to get us there "after taxes". This still meant he was offering me $27,600 after an appraisal of $30-33k. I realize everyone will have a different experience, but I was extremely disappointed to see such a highly-rated dealership resort to bait-and-switch tactics. I took a half-day at work, patiently worked with a brand new salesman (3 hours of my life I'll never get back), and sat face to face with Steve, who was unethical enough to review my email correspondence with Debbie that showed her quote of $30-33k and look me in the face and tell me he can only do $27,600 at best. When I stood up, mentioned I was frustrated by this waste of time, Steve took the papers with my information and tossed them across the desk in a disrespectful manner. If he were to respond, I'm sure the owner's response would be "well we never like to give appraisals over the internet" but they have a trade-in form built right into the Westbury Jeep website, so it would seem they acknowledge its necessity in the business of selling cars. And coincidentally, when I purchased my BMW last year, the dealer provided me an appraisal quote and honored it, so I know it can be done. You could absolutely have a different experience at this dealership, but I would caution anyone from taking an internet trade-in appraisal at face value. I will be submitting all of this information to the Better Business Bureau, as well as a letter to Chrysler Corp. More
