I went to westboro toyota on 1/29/10 for an oil change for my car. When I first arrived, I waited 5 minutes before a service tech came out to greet me and give me a ticket for my oil change. I was surpris for my car. When I first arrived, I waited 5 minutes before a service tech came out to greet me and give me a ticket for my oil change. I was surprised by the wait because I was told at the new owners orientation that the service techs meet and greet you outside immediately. When finally got inside I was greeted by Jessica Lise, a service cashier. I told her I was getting n oil change and would also like if someone could take a look at my tempature gage on my dash because the light was out. Without hesistation, she told me the price (118.00) of how much that would cost and that it would cost me an hour of labor plus the price of a light bulb. No one even assessed the problem before they told me how much it would cost! Before I was instructed to wait in the waiting room, Jessica told me should would come out to get me once my car was ready. This never happened. Instead, she called my name over an overcom. Good thing I was listening, otherwise she would have had to make the effort to demonstrate personalized service by coming out to get me to let me know my car was ready. When I went to pay (27.00) I presented them with my free oil chage coupon. Instead of just going through with the transaction the girl asked me if I had presented the coupon when I first arrived, I said "no" because I wasn't asked if I had one. She carried on with the transaction, never making eye contact. When I finally got to my car, I noticed the car was not vaccummed or washed, which was promise during the new owner's orientation. I was really disappointed by this becuase I realy like when this kind of maitainance occurs without costing extra. For a business that promises and prides itself of personalized service, I am greatly concerned of thier idea of "personalized service". From what I gathered from my experience is that they are all about profit and minimized customer interaction. The people I dealt withwere unprofessional and fa from curteous. I felt like I was bothering them and regretted going there on a friday afternoon. I have received better, more personalized and professional service at Jiffy Lube. This was the first and last time I will go to Westboro Toyota for any of my toyota needs. More
We went to Westboro Toyota after having a disastrous experience at Norm Wagner Toyota. Rich was very nice and the process was fast and painless. They offered a great price from the start, so there was n experience at Norm Wagner Toyota. Rich was very nice and the process was fast and painless. They offered a great price from the start, so there was no need to haggle on the price. They need to clean up their showroom - it's a bit dirty and old. More
After negotiating a price, I purchased a Solara convertible in April of 2009. Part of the agreement was that I was to receive 3 free oil changes. When I went to pick up the car, the salesman told m convertible in April of 2009. Part of the agreement was that I was to receive 3 free oil changes. When I went to pick up the car, the salesman told me the person who holds the tickets for the oil changes had left for the day but that he would mail them to me with the registration. I received the registration and there were no oil change tickets included. I sent an email letting the salesperson know that I received the registration, loved the car, but that I still hadn't received the free oil change vouchers. He emailed me back to apologize and wrote that he would send them right out. A week later, I sent another email with no response. Then, I got a survey from Toyota........I answered it honestly. I really liked the salesperson but that I did not get what was promised as part of the negotation on the car. Obviously, the survey results were relayed to the dealer because I received a message stating that the tickets were mailed and that they had another set they wanted to give me and that they would drive them out to me. I didn't return the call. I still have not received the ones they told me had already been mailed. I decided shortly after I realized we were playing a game that I will not be going there for service anyways. Keep your oil changes! I will never buy here again. A friend of mine purchased the same weekend at Acton Toyota and got a great deal AND everything she was promised. More
I have had three bad service experiences and a bad sales experience at this dealer so I thought it was time to tell others. I put a deposit on a 2006 Highlander Hybrid in December of 2005. I had a lease o experience at this dealer so I thought it was time to tell others. I put a deposit on a 2006 Highlander Hybrid in December of 2005. I had a lease on a Surburban that was to expire in June of 2006. The car was originally scheduled for an April release but it was pushed back to June. I know this was beyond their control. I called in June to find out when my car was coming in and they told me August. I explained my situation and asked if they had any other Highlanders available. They told me there was a back log and I would have to wait for my car to come in. I found another HH at a different dealer and purchased it. When I called to get my $500 deposit back, they told me I would still have to take delivery of the car. After fighting with them I eventually got my deposit back. The ironic thing was they had the exact car I bought at another dealer on their lot for sale the entire time. Fast forward a couple of years to my 30,000 mile service. They charged me $600 for what amounted to an oil change and inspecting a few things. They did not tighten the oil filter and I lost three quarts of oil. Fortunately I am a little mechanically inclined. I am sure some other people would have not noticed and blown up the engine. My next service was an oil change at 35K. They told me I needed new tires. They wanted $1200 for a set of cheap Goodyear tires. I have not had much luck with that brand. I took the car elsewhere and got a great set of Yokohama's for half their price. I took my car in today for an oil change at 40K. They told me I needed an entire new set of rotors and calipers all the way around to the tune of $3,000. Obviously it is time to find another dealership. More
My boyfriend and I went to Toyota of Westborough to look at the Rav4. We wanted to give them a try even after I read all the bad reviews. We happened to be in the area. We were approached by a sales men who at the Rav4. We wanted to give them a try even after I read all the bad reviews. We happened to be in the area. We were approached by a sales men who never introduced himself. We asked him some questions and his response was either some stupid joke or he told us to read the paper on the car. He kept telling us he was new and he didn't know anything. We walked away from him with in 3-4 min. He still was making jokes and clearly had no interest in helping us. His best joke was if you get a Rav4 V6 do you call it a Rav6. HA!HA! We were very upset and couldn't believe this was his approach for selling cars. This was nothing like the service we recieved at Subaru in Sudbury.(read review under there name) I would recommend staying away from this dealership. No wonder they have bad reviews. It only took me a second to tell it wasn't going to work out but we tried. To bad for the dealer he lost 2 sales that day.(looking to buy 2 Rav4's) More
My wife and I were assured by the salesperson that the deposit we left for a used truck would be refunded if we decided not to make the purchase following a night to think over the purchase. To this day, deposit we left for a used truck would be refunded if we decided not to make the purchase following a night to think over the purchase. To this day, the money has still not been refunded. Originally, they pushed for a much larger deposit. I'm grateful in hindsight that I would not agree to a deposit greater than $100. Since then, I was able to purchase a vehicle at a different dealer in far better condition and at a far better price. Be prepared for the pressure of sales before you walk into the dealership. Unless you are 100% certain that you want to make the purchase, I'd discourage you from signing anything or leaving any type of deposit. If you do and decide not to make the purchase, you may find out that your deposit will not be refunded to you - despite the promise made. More
We made a deal on last day of July (before MA tax hike) to buy the Sienna XLE. The model I wanted was not in stock, so they had to special order it. They called me a week later to let me know they found th to buy the Sienna XLE. The model I wanted was not in stock, so they had to special order it. They called me a week later to let me know they found the Van and it will be here by 8/24. I called one week before the promised delivery date to find out the status. First they told me they weren't getting money from the CARS program, so they want more money from my deal ($1000 more). I said NO, of course. Then they tried to sequeeze $500 from me, no way. I told them to refund me if they can't honor their own contract (I could have sued them). After all these lies, I had enough of them. I got my money back and I won't buy any car from them. I will tell my bad experience to others. More
My husband and I went to this dealer over the weekend to test drive a 2010 Prius. We are interested in taking part of the "Cash for Clunkers" program the federal government is rolling out. My old 92 Lexus q test drive a 2010 Prius. We are interested in taking part of the "Cash for Clunkers" program the federal government is rolling out. My old 92 Lexus qualifies and is about to die. We drove up and there were salespeople outside stalking customers. We were not even able to get out of the car before someone pounced on us. We told him up front we were not interested in buying that day, that we were just test driving. The entire time we were there he badgered us repeatedly to buy one of the ones on the lot. He knew absolutely nothing about the car itself. The test drive was pretty much silent, he never told us anything about the car. When we asked questions he would say “I don’t know” and then blame Toyota for not sending him to sales training for the Prius (which has been out for TEN YEARS). He then resorted to asking my husband what things were in the car to which my husband reminded him HE was the salesman. He repeatedly pushed us to buy the silver one we had test drove and never asked us what options we wanted. We went inside to see if he could give us a price and he knew almost nothing about the Cash for Clunkers bill other than he had heard of it. He said he could give us a “couple hundred bucks” for trading in my old car and didn’t seem to understand why we would want to wait for the Cash for Clunkers program to roll out. He whined that the government was trying to screw the auto dealers to which I told him he would not have gotten my business otherwise. My husband gave him a price to negotiate on PLUS the $4500 discount for the Cash for Clunkers program and he took it to his manager who promptly told us the Cash for Clunkers bill did not start til July 24th (which we had already told him at the beginning) and he couldn’t go any lower than sticker price. So after several hours of being there we were only given sticker price. He then asked for a deposit and basically wouldn’t let us leave even though we told him we had no interest in buying the car that day. He made test driving this car extremely painful as the entire time we were there I was looking for a quick getaway. I knew going to a car dealership would not be enjoyable but he was over the top pushy and on top of that did not know ANYTHING about the car. He literally expected us to buy the one off the lot no questions asked. When we go to actually buy the car we will NOT be going back to this dealership. More

During this time frame, I have called this dealership many times for prices. My feeling is that if I know what I want, why waste time and fuel driving to the dealership. Despite giving this dealership all the information they need to give me a quote, they never return phone calls as promised. This is true again. I'm in the market for a new Venza. All necessary information was given to the salesperson regarding the lease parameters that I wanted. Now, more than 24 hours later, I have yet to receive a phone call. No problem, other area dealerships have been more than accommodating. I guess Westboro Toyota has taught me a lesson..."don't bother calling us, we don't need a family who buys new Toyotas on a frequent basis". More
My wife and I decided that we will buy a new Camry LE. This sales associate assisting us had no issues giving us a new car for a test drive. When we returned and wanted to talk about the options/pricing/t This sales associate assisting us had no issues giving us a new car for a test drive. When we returned and wanted to talk about the options/pricing/trade in details, he was nowhere close to friendly. He wasn’t aggressive but he did not ask us what options we needed in a car, my purchase plans and the worst of all, when asked about trade in he bluntly (with a icky face) threw a ridiculous number (KBB value was more than twice of what he estimated). He didn’t get his butt up off his seat to look at my car or ask about its condition. This is where I felt the discomfort. One of the most boring purchasing experiences I had. We were treated like we were wasting his time. If you head down here, stay away from this sales rep. He is a real downer. I am buying a camry and will not go back to this dealer. More
