My complaint is more to do with their partnership with their body shop Meszaros Motorsports but also with the over all handling of the situation when they had my wife's 2019 Tiguan. After the body shop fi their body shop Meszaros Motorsports but also with the over all handling of the situation when they had my wife's 2019 Tiguan. After the body shop first failed to add oil to her vehicle and returned the car with a windshield crack running across the length of the front window which was not there when we dropped it off and door dings on the passenger side, they claim they did add oil even though my wife driving it and noticed a metal grinding sound and had checked the dip stick for oil and was there only enough to leave a slight stain on the paper towel and added 6 quarts. In addition, when they did check to see if they added oil they did not drop the oil pan or catch the first cup or two of oil to investigate for metal pieces or bits. They just leveled the oil and reviewed the codes which showed three miss fires for the pistons which would be consistent with them locking up due to no oil. They drove it and did not have any other issues and asked if they could take it to the dealer or have their owner diagnose it since it there was no one there with the knowledge or expertise to do the repairs. I was under the impression they would take it that afternoon which was last Thursday and learned Friday it was not there due to the body shop keeping the vehicle not per my wishes. As of last Friday the vehicle was sent to the dealership but I did not find out till yesterday (Monday) when we picked up the vehicle that the body shop only conveyed to check for the misfire codes and nothing to do with any engine issues. After taking receipt of the vehicle from West Houston the vehicle is still having odd sounds from the engine and not performing as it should. In talking to the service advisor we found out they did not not know about any engine issues and that we are needing to take the vehicle back to Meszaros for work and they need to fix the issue. The frustrating part is that the vehicle till last week was at the body shop since May. If you are on hold for West Houston they tout their partnership with the body shop and the work they do. If that is the case, for the sake of customer service, if the body shop does not have the expertise with the mechanical diagnosis why would they be the one to fix the vehicle. Plus, the impression is that they do not want liability but at the sake of resolving the mistake or making sure the customer is satisfied with the over all care of their vehicle. More
Horrible service. Overcharged and added useless services to my bill for the car. Would recommend you use any other service center. After the test drive I asked my sales lady for lease options & pricing, just like anyone else would & she flat out refused to give me any information unless she runs my credit !! I was shocked & tried to make sense of it by explaining, I would need to know my payment and numbers before pulling credit & that's how I have bought cars for the past 20 years. She went & talked to her manger, came back and said I can leave as they had showed a lot of customers numbers yesterday & now they will have to pull my credit before showing me any figures. I just left very disappointed and figured would share my experience. More
We knew exactly what we wanted, had already researched and test drove elsewhere. We did a car search on a Saturday morning; WHVW had a CPO car we were interested in, priced fairly. I made an appointment f and test drove elsewhere. We did a car search on a Saturday morning; WHVW had a CPO car we were interested in, priced fairly. I made an appointment for that same day at 3pm. I spoke with Russ for about 10 minutes on the phone prior, asking questions regarding CPO warranty, and car specifics; he was patient and clear. Test drove at 3pm, trial on a backroad and trialed our carseat. Went home, discussed. Came back around 6pm, and by 8pm (thanks for staying late!) we had everything signed, and the car was ours. Russ was great, as well as the financing gentleman. Great experience. We'll be back in the future. More
The best! I waited a week to write this review, and all I can say is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Russ Ali and his team. I literally texted Russ on Thursday I waited a week to write this review, and all I can say is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Russ Ali and his team. I literally texted Russ on Thursday evening about a convertible I wanted, and by Friday lunch, I was signing papers and getting ready to drive out my vehicle. If you are looking to buy a car in Houston, even if it's not a VW, call Russ Ali first. Why? 1) He's super honest and direct: this was my first car and he gave me all of the details I needed to make an informed decision. He knew I had a demanding job so didn't play the "tricks" or put unnecessary pressure on me. He made what is usually a stressful process super easy. 2) They are all about quality: my car is 2016 but looks brand new. I can tell that they pride themselves on offering solid cars and I am forever grateful 3) He cares: he took time to listen to my situation and concerns. He made sure I found something that was within my budget, my style, and safe / reliable. He also gave me advice and guidance on not only the car buying process but everything else. He knew that I wanted to show my parents the car so patiently waited for me to get their opinion before finishing 4) The whole team is amazing: buying a car during a pandemic is not easy for anyone, and they showed me and my family so much compassion and care. From sanitizing / wearing masks to reducing my need to do any extraneous tasks or jump through unnecessary hoops, every member of the staff was a pleasure to work with. 5) Transparency: There were no hidden costs or bait and switch. He honored what he advertised and was transparent about what deals / specials he offered other customers which I appreciated. It's really hard to put into words how amazing the team at West Houston VW is but I'll close with this: no matter where I go or what I do, I have a feeling I'll be getting any and all of my cars from West Houston VW from now on. No test drive before purchase West Houston VW had a vehicle I was interested in purchasing; I contacted them through their website, where they ask you to do so for today’s best pri West Houston VW had a vehicle I was interested in purchasing; I contacted them through their website, where they ask you to do so for today’s best price; I did so and I included the fair price I was ready and willing to pay; I received a follow up phone call from Matt Nazar stating they don’t negotiate over the phone or email for fear of being undercut by another dealer—that seemed reasonable; he suggested I come out to the dealership, so, I scheduled a meeting day/time. I was told they would have the car outside ready to review and drive; that didn't happen, the car was on the showroom floor when I arrived, and I was told something I thought very odd for a car dealer... “they don't allow test drives before purchasing”. They also told me they are the #1 VW dealer in the state, their website says family owned and operated… we treat you like family… truly committed to having Really, Really Happy Customers, etc., yet, they don’t allow test drives before you purchase one of their automobiles. So much for treating customers like family or being committed to having Really, Really Happy Customers, etc. Hopefully VW North America can confirm to me their status as #1 and the policy of not test driving a car before purchase. In the meantime, here’s one cash buyer who will not recommend West Houston VW to my family, friends, employees, customers or their friends and family, etc. Can you imagine not test driving a car you want to buy? Me either. More
