Initially, they said I was approved, but then they came back asking for a $10,000 additional down payment—a significant difference. They made me run my credit for no reason, despite my excellent credit and history of paying off over 15 cars. It was a complete waste of time and a hit to my credit score. I used to sell cars myself, including Hyundai, so I know how this process works. A $10,000 down payment is a big difference that a desk manager and a finance director should have known this from very beginning. More
Took my new Genesis in for warranty work 10 days ago I called and they have done nothing. It’s a rip off company and the cars are unreliable. I would never do business with this dealership. First, Genesis as a product seems to take a significant hit when leaving the dealership, to the tune of about 20k. Do not, I repeat, do not pay the extra markup on these vehicles, you will lose even more money, should you require to sell it. The next item is the addition of their Apex contracts, they will not tell you but you have 10 business days to cancel these contracts. I recommend you do so and locate your own service contracts so as not to get stuck with subpar options. Once again, do not buy here, but if you make the mistake of purchasing here, do not buy Genesis, and cancel the Apex contracts they will add within 10 business days. I would actually call immediately post leaving. They are horrible. Hopefully you've done your research prior to purchase, and read the reviews here. I'd give them zero stars if I could. More
First… I love my 2017 Genesis G80 platinum! I purchased it from North Freeway Hyundai and everyone there from sales to service was first class. (See my Google review on them.) The fact is that West Hyundai is closer for me for service related issues BUT the opposite is true with this organization! I took my car in to have a part ordered and while there I was informed that there was a recall of some sort on my car. I was told that they would order both parts for me at the same time. Good enough. After this interaction it has been complete dead air from everyone at this dealership for over three weeks and counting. My service rep Charles has not called me back to give me any type of status having left him no less than 8 phone messages. Speaking to many others at the dealership to have someone call me back including Lauren, literally NO ONE from the service department nor the service manager nor the operations manager nor the GM have ever contacted me back to give me a status. Complete dead air! To make matters worse; only 5% of the time does anyone answer their phone and their telephone system is broken somehow routinely routing you to a dead end with no options to even connect with the operator. At times the operator also does not answer the phone for large gaps of time. Should you ever purchase a car from this dealership? ONLY if you want plenty of issues to deal with and literally no communication. If there were only two car dealerships in and around Houston; 1. Bobs take it or leave it car lot or 2. West Hyundai, you better go with option 1 and save yourself a ton of aggravation. Life is to short to add “Known problems “ to your life as there are plenty of other life issues to solve each day. You have been warned! (In regards to the dealer saying this is a FAKE review; how about I bring down my original paperwork showing that I purchased my car from the North Freeway dealer?) unbelievable that you could offer the worst service and rather than accept it and try to do better you tell the world that I am lying? It says something about you dear sir. I literally drive 20 miles one way to see the service manager (Daniel) face to face who accepted my feedback and offered to try to make things a bit better on 6-16-23. He told me what is going on and shame on you as he appears to genuinely wants to deliver excellent service. I called Xavier this am and he also understood this was a horrific sale. He is the one who advised us and agreed to return the vehicle. He asked what time we’d arrive etc. I advised him if we can get 23k out the door and continue to use our bank financing we are ok ! He agreed Once arrived Xavier hid and your sales manager refused to do what Xavier told us would happen. I even asked 3x so when we arrive we would have to sign a document to get out of the loan correct and he said yes sure come on down!!!!! Also we never had a trade in , the miles on your falsified contract says 32 when it had 305. Why sell such a high priced car to a college student when they knowingly ( because they bullied him into showing them how much the bank gave him for financing) to what he can’t afford !!!! Your sales manager was rude belligerent and disregarding of it all. My son went there for a car under 23k out the door ! Your sales team and finance took complete advantage of him and gave him a price 5k more !!! Your company doesn’t need to be previed to the amount he was approved for from our bank because look what happens ! I need to be contacted ASAP , I’ve left a voicemail and your number details were refused by your sales manager We told them today we do not want the car and they refused it ! None of this is ok ! **********STOP - don't buy APEX Protection********** I recently purchased a Hyundai Sonata from West Houston Hyundai dealership, along with an APEX PROTECTION plan. However, when I went to cancel the plan recently purchased a Hyundai Sonata from West Houston Hyundai dealership, along with an APEX PROTECTION plan. However, when I went to cancel the plan and receive a refund after selling the car, I was met with unprofessional behavior from one of the managers. Despite presenting the relevant documents, I was told that I did not purchase the plan, and when I proved otherwise, the manager became very defensive and rude towards me. I would caution anyone considering doing business with this dealership. I hope they can take steps to improve their customer service in the future. **** Update 4/27: I sent a note to the customer service requesting a refund, but it has been of no help so far. More
