So I have been battling with the thought of writing another 1 star review on West Hills Chrysler Jeep dealership (last one over 4 years ago), but I feel compelled to do so because something needs to ch another 1 star review on West Hills Chrysler Jeep dealership (last one over 4 years ago), but I feel compelled to do so because something needs to change when it comes to at least the finance department. Background is for the first time, my wife and I were set up to have not one, but two paid-off trade ins to get my wife her dream vehicle, which was a nice, lifted Jeep Wrangler. Nothing wrong with the Jeep, and my wife really loves it. The problem was being told by the finance manager that we would get funds back on a service contract cancellation. We didn't need the money, but with all the information in front of the finance manager, he said we would get money back. It was a very nice conversation we had with the FM, but it did take a few weeks to get our digital copy of our paperwork after the deal was done, and during the financing we talked about some additional services, but they were not presented as options, and because we were just riding high on having a dream vehicle, we were not focused on the fine-print, so that is on us. But I have never had extra items not be clearly explained, except during this purchase. We were not shown prices or asked if we wanted the extra items. Because they added all they did, but presented the same payments that we wanted, my wife and I didn't know we had all the extra until after we got the information from the bank on our loan details. I went to the FM that I signed with, and he did apologize for the confusion and admitted some blame, but all the extra stuff has still not truly been explained to me how it works. I was simply told that the departments that deal with those services would contact us, yet we have had the Jeep for over 2 months now with no contact from any body. We did get a message from the GM about wanting to explain why we were not getting the money back after our almost month of runaround we got before finally getting told that the mileage was too high on our trade-in. If we were told we might not get anything back, that would have not been a problem. Due to this being the second time in the last 2 vehicles that we have had some major problems with West Hills, we have decided to never purchase another vehicle from them, and we have been loyal to them due to this being my 8th or 9th vehicle from them in the past 20+ years in the area. Guess I will take my business across the water from now on. I also will never recommend them to anyone. If you work with them, read the fine-print! More
Its always awkward walking into the service department at West Hills Chrysler Dodge.
