Too bad the management doesn't seem to focus on positive customer relations. I was able to consummate a good deal trading elsewhere. In the past I have relied on Spurr for servicing my Outback, now with my purchase of a 2015 Subaru Forester from another dealer, I am leery about going back to Spurr after the interaction with Spurr's appraiser. The saddest part is the near proximity of their dealership and the potential of convenience getting my Subaru's serviced there. More
Bait and switch Arrangements were made to purchase a 2018 Forester with 0.9% financing. Upon arrival to the dealership the sales people set up the car to sync with my Arrangements were made to purchase a 2018 Forester with 0.9% financing. Upon arrival to the dealership the sales people set up the car to sync with my husband's iPhone, set up his Subaru online account, went over all the features of this shiny, new car and then 45 minutes later the finance managers let us know that the interest rate is now 1.9%. An $800 increase. We were told it was a human error and no price adjustments could/would occur to adjust for their "mistake". Sounds like a bait and switch to us. We opted to choose another dealership for this purchase. More

Best Buying Experience Ever!...No Kidding! I had searched for over a week looking for a CrossTrek in White. Being the end of the 2014 model year, anything but black was rare in dealer stock. With a single phone call, Cliff held the car until I could visit the dealership the following day. No deposit, just my word I wanted the car if it was as listed. Cliff quoted a price $1000+ off sticker. I was 120 miles from Spurr. When I arrived, Cliff had the car out front with a sold tag on it. I met with Joe in Finance who was extremely professional and friendly. He beat the financing I had pre-arranged. As I lived 120 miles from the dealership, I asked Cliff if I could pay them to deliver the car to my home the next day. I was shocked that he offered to do this at no cost. The delivery team was right on time and very polite. This was the best new car buying experience ever. Don't believe it? Call me. 6074233006. I would recommend these guys to anyone. My Subaru developed a nasty sounding rattle so I brought it in for service. The sound was very similar to a heat shield issue I had a few months earlier. There service department told me I need new sway bar it in for service. The sound was very similar to a heat shield issue I had a few months earlier. There service department told me I need new sway bar links and bushings for $332 plus tax. I declined the repair and brought my car to another garage for a second opinion. They told me it was a loose heat shield and my sway bars and bushings were fine. They recommended bringing it back to the dealer because it may still be under warranty. THIS GARAGE DID NOT CHARGE FOR THE DIAGNOSTICS THEY PERFORMED. When I contacted Spurr again they said make an appt. and they'd look again but the 2nd garage was obviously wrong and didn't know what they were doing. Fine I made an appt. but this time Van Bortle Subaru. I brought it in for a rattle and did not tell them the history of the issue. They diagnosed it as a loose heat shield and a $20 repair. They performed the NYS inspection as well with no issues. It was only then I asked about the sway bar links and bushings. There response was they are fine and who ever said they weren't was trying to rip me off. DO NOT TRUST THE CROOKS AT SPURR. They are liars and will cheat you if they think they can!!! More
I had been working with another Subaru dealer in the area, but Spurr blew me away. They did an amazing job! I have continued to work with the service department for all my oil change needs, etc. and again have just been blown away with their ability to please me as a customer. I often call last minute for an oil change and they have almost always been able to fit me in! I am very pleased with my purchase. More
