While we had a good experience BUYING the car, the calls and emails and mail NEVER STOPS! We have requested multiple times that they remove us from their mailing list. My mother did not want to sell the c and emails and mail NEVER STOPS! We have requested multiple times that they remove us from their mailing list. My mother did not want to sell the car back nor did she want to buy another. We have requested over the phone, over email and by physical letters for the sales offers, purchase offers and just general junk mail to STOP. When they called three days after my mother's death I told them she couldn't talk to them as she was dead and they actually asked if I wanted to sell her car! She's been gone six months now. The mail keeps coming. I will NEVER buy another car from them. The complete lack of respect is disgusting! More
We recently purchased a 2024 Subaru Ascent from your dealership, and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. Raylen Miller, the sales rep at West Herr Suburu, was the only sales person in Monroe County to get back to me with my detailed needs. He was the only sales rep to consistently check in with me as I searched only sales person in Monroe County to get back to me with my detailed needs. He was the only sales rep to consistently check in with me as I searched for my next vehicle. I was very specific in what I wanted and how I felt uncomfortable in the car buying process. Raylen went out of his way to insure I got the best vehicle, best price, and best buying experience. Definitely recommend Raylen Miller & West Herr :) More
I used to think that people were significantly overselling how dealerships "scam" you and charge "hundreds" more for things you can do yourself. I have now discovered we are underselling it as overselling how dealerships "scam" you and charge "hundreds" more for things you can do yourself. I have now discovered we are underselling it as a society. The subpar customer service left quite a bit to be desired. I called Tuesday morning and relayed my issues over the phone. Dropped my car off for the 7:30 am appointment on Wednesday. They did not even reach the diagnosis for my car until the afternoon on Friday and never managed to communicate a tentative schedule beyond "we'll do our best to get it in today". For just an A/C diagnosis they charged $230 and $190 for a check engine light diagnosis. And no, I did not leave my car with them for any service. But regardless of the fact that I had them diagnose these issues, that cost doesn't carry over into actual repairs. Those are completely separate charges. Of the two issues I wanted addressed they managed to give me 9 totaling $4,300 of service they could do on top of the $450 I had to pay in total for the diagnoses. After leaving I drove 5 minutes down the road to the Autoparts store and bought the part to fix my A/C for $20 and had it fixed in 2 minutes right in their parking lot. They wanted to charge $50 for an engine air filter replacement ($18.99 at Autoparts and a 2 minute YouTube video) and $60 for the cabin air filter ($25 and a 2 minute YouTube video, arguably EASIER than the xxxx engine filter). I'll be having someone other than these scammers fix the minor transmission issue they wanted to charge $2,300 for and my trusted subaru-specialized mechanic back home said would be $1,700. They wanted to charge another $200 just to tell my why my rear windshield wiper doesn't spray cleaning fluid. Again - NOT FIX. Just to find the problem THEY ALREADY WOULD HAVE NEEDED TO FIND TO FIX IT IF I WANTED IT FIXED ANYWAY. Maybe they're great to buy a car off of, but whatever you do DO NOT USE THE SERVICE CENTER. They charge extortionary prices and don't care about providing an affordable service to their customers, most of us whom are loyal to the death. At the end of the day West Herr needs to stick to Chevy. More
